Enjoys watching fox porn
I watched the first few episodes of season 1 last night. Man it was good. I actually think season 1 was the best. It was very fresh and exciting. Now you can easily tell it's dragging out far too much
You may need to explain that one in greater detail to me I'm afraid. Can't quite see the linkage there.Ok, great little find by my old housemate. She just pointed out to me that the episode which strongly hints the mother is gonna die is called "Vesuvius."
A few episodes earlier though, Ted is doing a crossword one year after the wedding, and he shouts out, "Vesuvius!" Oh wait, thats not right" or something along those lines. Suggests the mother is gonna live
Episode 19 of this season, is called Vesuvius. The final scene of the episode has Ted breaking down in tears, and the assumption is that the mother is dying. You may need to explain that one in greater detail to me I'm afraid. Can't quite see the linkage there.
Yeah that's better, it makes for a valid reason that's for sure. I still think she will die though, the breaking down part really is such a strong hint that she is either terminally ill or just pretty ill with a chance of dying. Guess we shall all find out in exactly 7 days time.Episode 19 of this season, is called Vesuvius. The final scene of the episode has Ted breaking down in tears, and the assumption is that the mother is dying.
However, in episode 2 of this season, he is doing a crossword in a flashforward. He thinks the answer is Vesuvius. "Vesuvius... oh wait, that doesn't fit." It seems like its a little clue that the episode Vesuvius is actually a red herring and we should ignore that episodes implication that the mother dies.
Make sense?
Of course they bloody aren't, for the life of me I can't understand why people are still clinging on to this.Started out on a shit note I thought but recovered reasonably well.
I don't think we'll see Ted/Robin regardless of whether the mother dies or not.
Probably because they keep bringing it up, repeatedly.Of course they bloody aren't, for the life of me I can't understand why people are still clinging on to this.
So predictable.
Saying that it was still pretty good. Really funny and more like a season 1 episode.
I have this gut feeling that Ted and Robin will end up together in the end, and hear me out: Follow any other sitcom like this (Friends, Scrubs etc.) and they all follow a similar pattern, where the 2 main male and female characters (Ross and Rachel, Elliott and JD) meet in the very first episode and fall in love at very first sight.. Well the guys do anyway. They drag out these relationships throughout every season: will they, won't they? They're together again, now they've broken up etc etc. This story line is no different, except they add the inevitability Ted will find "the mother". But I have this crazy sneaky feeling that there is going to be a dramatic turn in the story, perhaps their mother dies during childbirth or in an accident, or they get divorced. Robin and Barney do get married, but go through a turbulent time together, as Robin sees Ted with potentially "the one" and realizes Barney is not the one she's supposed to be with, but Ted is (hence finding the necklace in the latest episode for Ted). I just think they would have left a lot of loose ends between Robin and Ted's story, and call me crazy or stupid or lame for thinking this all up, but if you think about it this could be a story line to work off?
Don't be so hard on yourself. I'd say the bit where you thought the mother might die giving birth or in an accident was close enough for you to at least claim that you predicted she might die.Called it pretty much spot on back in May last year:
The only thing I didn't call was the mother's death, but was close.
I'll walk out of this joint, with my head held high, knowing I was almost perfect in predicting the end! Talk about not developing a character at all though...Don't be so hard on yourself. I'd say the bit where you thought the mother might die giving birth or in an accident was close enough for you to at least claim that you predicted she might die.
Should we look at the calendar?Shit series. Started off OK, but then dragged it on to shite.
On November 15, 2013, it was announced that CBS and the series' producer 20th Century Fox Television will launch How I Met Your Dad, a female-centric variation executive-produced by Bays, Thomas, and Emily Spivey.
Seriously?
How so? Both shows started ok and then became almost literally unwatchable. It's more like Bebe - Djx2 situation. The difference between this show and Big Bang theory is similar to that between Bebe and Messi.
what, is it already being telecast now?Should we look at the calendar?
Big Bang theory is much better then this crap. How so? Both shows started ok and then became almost literally unwatchable. It's more like Bebe - Djx2 situation.
Oh, I thought it was an April fool's joke from you. Then googled it. Well, that's bad...what, is it already being telecast now?
Well, its your opinion. I really liked TBBT but this Amy Sarah Fowler and Bernadette crap is a symptom of a significant decline for me.Big Bang theory is much better then this crap.
Someone notify me in time so I can quote my post where I said Robin and Ted will end up together.
I think they'll end up together too, somehow. The end will probably be stupid.
Did exactly the same thing.ffs, I downloaded both episodes but played the last one first by accident, and realised after watching the whole episode I missed episode before.
Btw:
I think it was decent ending, expected lot worse than this but considering how shit the last season was this was more than OK, although it was quite obvious ending, as I predicted:
Nicely summed up.I feel like I've been a part of a tremendously un-funny April Fool's joke they spent nine years setting up. Utter, utter shite.
As well as Barney's instant character regression, what was the point of dragging out the wedding and for nothing, do you know what would have been unpredictable Ted to end happily married to the mother.I liked the idea and I predicted the mother would die but they didn't execute it very well imo. They almost shrugged off her death and also Barney and Robin's marriage to the point where the whole thing was pointless.
Ted and the kids are dead along with everyone that we know (Marshall, Lilly etc.) and they're just chatting, passing time in some purgatory. L.O.S.T.I thought it was an ok episode, there's no way they could have ended it seemingly without some people complaining it was predictable. I'm interested to hear what some people think WOULDN'T have been predictable?
