But as the situation is I support the blue shite more than us atm. Come on City. Nobody thought that City would have a problem against QPR and I didn´t even watch our game against Sunderland. I followed it on the text though and I was amazed we won the league and then all fecking hell went lose. I can never describe that feeling. I was dumb and that was the worst feeling ever. I hope City win tonight and Aguero equalising West Hams 1-0 lead in the 96th min on Sun while the scouse cnuts are celebrating after they have been misinformed that they are Champions. 20 times YSB

You're joking, right?

For one night only, Manchester is indisputably Blue.
No, just no. I'd rather City win the League than Liverpool but what you've said there is just too far.

Anything but Liverpool.
Sure that's what Liverpool have been saying about us for years, why is it suddenly different when we say the same? Man City are bitter rivals, but Liverpool are something even more than that, anybody but those twats.

No one playing for City gives a toss about the club and its history. It's much easier to see mercenaries raise the trophy than Steven Gerrard.

If City winning means that slip cost Stevie Me his title, I can just about live with it :)

I don't understand the self flagellation and public displays of humiliation.

Yes, we would prefer City to win it over Liverpool. But whisper it quietly. No need to go to the confession booth. We've been taunted enough as it is.

Went for a quick look on Bluemoon this morning and there was a thread about United fans wanting City to win the league - they genuinely couldn't believe that we'd prefer them to win it over the scousers  They were seething about it!

They're not called the Bitters for nothing :D

How is the general feeling in the city of Manchester? Pool or City?

Seems odd! To us distance fans in the south, Liverpool will always be the rivalry. Our south towns are awash with Liverpool fans, normally the types whose dads made them support them, or started supporting them loving John Barnes, usually who haven't been to Anfield once.

City on the other hand, have never been any kind of threat to us until the last 5 years or so, and you don't get any of their fans down here!

It's about as non contest as rivalries go!
Maybe it's different if you actually live in Manchester!

Can relate oh I can relate.

Watching the QPR game, more in pure hope than any kind of expectation. That twat Barton getting sent off, yet them going 2-1 up.
Racing pulse like I didn't think possible.

5mins extra time, idiot mates on facebook writing stupid statuses like how City had bottled the league, and we'd won it. Idiots!!! Bloody idiots.

Then a result goes for QPR, and they're safe, so their effort massively drops off.

Then Dzeko heads one in.
The QPR twats don't even try and do anything, they just smack the ball up field.

Then somehow the ball falls at Aguero's feet, and it's 3-2. Pure sickener.
Made a bit worse by QPR just again punting it down field, not even pretending to want to do anything.

Then that utter twat Cisse celebrating with the City players.

And then pure ribbing off the work idiots, including Liverpool fans at work the next day.
Horrendous scenes.

Liverpool's loss won't be quite as gutting, but probably not far off with the 24 year without a title not ending. Not to mention basically needing a draw at home to Chelsea's reserves and their captain making the big error

Not for me. I think what pisses them off is that they hate us above anyone else, and the thought there's a team United fans hate more than City makes them rage inside.

I won't be celebrating City's title. I'll be celebrating Liverpool fecking it up.

Jeez that sounds so sad, we should be up there :(

With City, we know that they've simply won the lottery, and bought big players in every position for huge money. Even bloody Chelsea fans moan about City's money! I think that says it all!

With Liverpool, while they've always spent heavily, whatever any of their fans say, it's not in the Oil teams leagues. And they haven't given us any time to get used to them as contenders. As recently as Christmas people (including myself) thought they'd fall off top 4!

It's a welcome to what it's like being a Pool fan for all these years. Where your biggest rival's failings becomes a trophy for you!

However, in a miserable season, I will lap that up!

I bet there'll even be people saying "Get in!!" with multiple happy emoticons when City score their 4th goal against Aston Villa.

It's...ridiculous.

Seems there'll be meltdown here as well if Villaham makes a surprise.

I would LOVE an Aguerooooooo moment on Sunday. I have a lot to give back to all sorts of Liverpool fans from that day two years ago.

They finished 8th that day. Sunderland fans mocked us too, they finished 13th.

But surely City fans mocked us hardest on that day?

To say I'll be relieved when City are crowned champions is an understatement. What is about 22 players kicking a leather ball making us lose all rationality?

City are 17 titles behind us and their most recent one (as well as this one, assuming it happens) are entirely due to a decision of the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund to invest in a mediocre club that had recently acquired a brand new stadium as a result of the Commonwealth Games.

On the other hand, after 20 years of underachievement after Busby, we have spent 20 years finally overhauling Livepool. They remain our one genuine domestic rival in terms of trophy haul and global fan base, and their resurgence this year is down to good management rather than financial doping. It's basically a compliment to Liverpool that most of us prefer City to win.

Because Liverpool winning the premier league would hurt more I'd say. Lesser of two evils if City win. Liverpool are our rivals for 20 years, emotions tend to get engrained in what makes a club the way it is.

Plus it's easy not to give a shit about City ever since they became nothing more than a billionaire's play thing. They're not Manchester City, their just a generic top four club. Might as well be Bognor Regis FC for all anyone really cares about them. For a football club, they really have zero identity.

I live in London and i can say that in the last 20years I have only come across three, yes, three, obvious man city supports, and that's been in the last two/three years. One kid in the Angel wearing a champions 12 shirt, some guy in the city wearing a city shirt and a rather weird guy walking through Waterloo station holding aloft a man city cup whilst claiming they were the greatest team...ever!!!

I'm sure there are more of them down here, but I have never come across any, even whilst I was at Uni.

I know even red mancs hate Liverpool more but for most of us out of Manchester then there is no contest. Anything but that Shite. Once when I was in a city centre football pub in Manc Liverpool scored and it was mostly cheers. Made me sick. I know there are some Liverpudlians working in Manc but this was a really good footie pub with tvs all around. As United didn´t play I would have thought it was being very hostile towards LFC. I was hostile atleast:-). feck, come on CITY

Without the Man Utd/ Liverpool rivalry a lot would be lost in the English game.

No need to hate.
