Weird how everyone seems to know what LVG loves, what LVG likes, what LVG will do, bla bla bla, all most likely based on articles and nothing else
LVG will not like this post! :nono:

But i agree with you, its comical how anyone can post about him like it is a matter of fact.

What did they say?
Poor attitude/lazy & getting a bit big for his boots. Admittedly the tweet isn't much to go off to back up that but it's things that have been mentioned there before, he's young though, he'll learn.

I think we've got the right Manager coming in to sort that kind of thing out.

Hope he sorts that out fast, he's not even as big and acclaimed as an 18yr old Ronaldo or Rooney was(yet), so I have no idea where this arrogance is coming from :houllier:

have a feeling that he was called for the tournament just to convince him to accept Belgium invitation. I doubt that the manager ever thought about playing him on this World Cup.

Well you look at what Belgium just showed today, you can't imagine why he didn't feature at all.

Christ, we've not got much going for us at the moment but Januzaj was one of them. I don't want to be hearing this sort of thing right now.

What happened with his dad being strict and keeping him grounded etc?

It does but Hazard, Mertens and Mirallas are all better currently
Hazard definitely is, wouldn't be that sure for the other two. However, if Chadli gets some time on pitch and Adnan not, then I find it strange if the decision is purely based on which one of them is better.

I don't believe any of this. Januzaj is a very hard worker and he gives everything in every match he plays. It's very hard to believe that he's slacking in training when everyone praises his attitude.

Belgium are starting very slowly, appallingly tedious first couple of games.

The interesting things are why is Lukaku playing so badly, is he massively unfit, or is it their system?
Hazard you'd think is their star man, but De Bruyne and Mertens have a bit more thrust about them so far.

Fellaini, for all this talk of Belgium know how to use him, has been average. Just that header is putting it into people's heads he suddenly works so well for them, ignoring that he was a sub!
And Witsel is doing his best Fellaini impersonation with his hair!

Oh right. feck's sake. Really don't want to hear rumours like that. Would explain why he's not even getting minutes off the bench in games where Belgium were crying out for a creative spark. Bugger.

Yeah found it strange that he wasn't put on in the last 15 mins or so when they were crying out for some spark. He seemed ideal for that situation. Hope those rumours about his attitude in training aren't true.

Young lad plays for Manchester United, earns a shit load of money and rumours crop up in regards to a hint of arrogance and people are surprised or bothered? Are you lot ancient? Most lads under 25 years lads act like whoppers, head out on a student night into any town in the country and you'll find that in every single one of them, they just don't play for Manchester United. All will be fine.

Looks like he's training hard enough for me. :) There's a lot of photos of him during Belgium training, it's like they only care about him.

That's the first time I ever heard that. Everyone says he's a hard worker in training and part of the reason is because of his dad.

Kristof Terreur's tweet needs some context. He clarified that Wilmots gave him the hairdryer on wednesday. That doesn't suggest that there is a lingering bad attitude.

I'd rather he stays as a winger. Seems any player with a hint of technique wants to play ~10, whereas top class creative wingers are far rarer.

I know what you mean but i feel Van Gaal may see him as what Litmanen was for him at Ajax.
I just hope he gets game time. It's been a long while since he's had any kind of significant football, which IMO is fecking barmy at this crucial stage of his development. One of the most promising players we've had in years and we effectively make him sit on the bench for 6 months, the odd game aside. Part of me worries what such inactivity has done insofar as stunting his growth.

He wasn't even getting reserve games, was he?

I'm very confident he will be a mainstay in the team under LVG.

If over the next few years he bulks up a bit, works on his speed and improves on his shooting he will be one fantastic player.
I think his shot needs the most work... there were many times this year where he'd done a ton of great work but his end product let him down. I would think over time that will only improve.

He needs to work on his dribbling, pace and acceleration if he wants to play as a winger and be one of the worlds best. As well as his defense as he is our worst winger defensively.

His best position would by far be centrally, there he already has all the necessary attributes he needs except some defensive work-rate.

I agree, it was ridiculous. There was far too much coddling. I'm sorry, but I couldn't have been the only one who was relieved to see Adnan come on at the expense of Young early in that Newcastle match towards the end of the year. There's literally ZERO excuse to play dross like Young ahead of Januzaj.
