Ah I see! So has Ander too, yea, barring that miscue. So has Herrera but it's 'Let's find fault with a player' time
So what if Rooney would be ineffective out wide? If he must play, at least play him where play doesn't go through him. And when he does get the ball, out wide, Rojo can overlap with positive effect.I wonder if he's trying to utilise Martial's pace on the wing.Rooney would be totally ineffective out wide
Have both on, both are dull. You not watching the Arsenal game?
Yup. #9 is where Rooney does the least damage, both to his own team and the opposition.
The first 20 minutes they were all over us, we got some control in the last 15 minutes or so but apart from that through ball to Rooney and the Herrera chance we've created very little.Seriously we played well, it's just the same old one killing us
Palace have had the better chances. 0-0 is a fair result at the moment.Decent half, should be winning. Palace started well, which was to be expected. We weathered it and took control.
A goal wins this today.
No he hasn't. Sneaky edit.darmian has turned to garbage. Might aswell play a back 3 of Rojo, Smalling, Blind
Its a good away performance in that we've kept palace at bay for the most part. The keeping possession part helps. However, in doing so we have sacrificed our ability to penetrate a defense. This would be ok if our forwards were deadly efficient and took all their chances. The reality is they are not. Herrera and Rooney wasted good chances and historically, this usually leads to the other team punishing us later in the match.Well I am listening to radio Croydon which is naturally Palace biased and they think United weathered the initial storm and have controlled the game by slowing everything down.
Not got a stream, so am only going by commentators view. Their main comment was this is a good away performance.
Tends to go against some of the emotions on here.
Not working on my android box mate, tried that, bein sports 11 and tsn4 and all keep going off.You could find a feed off NBCSN.
I think all 3 have been half decent without being really good. Not much between them IMO in that halfWhat? Mata's been really good.
haha good observationNo he hasn't. Sneaky edit.
I don't understand why fans think this game should be a pushover.Palace have played really well of late and want to make up for a heavy defeat so obviously will try that bit harderwe done well to soak up pressure from the start. We looked as if we'd get run over.
Terrible statistic really. Look at our goals column too. Its abysmal compared to other top half teams. We have the most posession in the league (59,5%) yet there are only two teams with fever shots than us.
Should have hit it with his leftAnder chance
Well unfortunately, to go from simply having possession to the opposition penalty box, the ball has to go through Wayne Rooney. We have the most posession in the league (59,5%) yet there are only two teams with fever shots than us.
To be fair, if it goes through Rooney, it's actually good because it would mean that someone else is aiming to shoot the ball. It's when Rooney is at the conclusion of the action that it's not working out!Well unfortunately, to go from simply having possession to the opposition penalty box, the ball has to go through Wayne Rooney.
A big part of having no composure is that our chances are so rare. We don't take any risks so we get very few chances per game and we need to be perfect or almost perfect in our finishing to get any kind of scoring. If you're not getting chances, your skills in finishing deteriorate.LVG does have a point about finishing. I mean, Herrera should just side foot that into the corner. No composure.
Considering how bad he looked for a while,I'd say it's a bonusRojo again competing for MOTM. That's both good and bad...
Yeah everything's Rooney's fault, i got that by now.Well unfortunately, to go from simply having possession to the opposition penalty box, the ball has to go through Wayne Rooney.
It's actually 'let's find fault with a player to make Rooney not look like a complete waste of space'.So has Herrera but it's 'Let's find fault with a player' time
Or we give palace the lifeline needed for them to hit us on the counter/setpiece. That's the more likely scenario to be honest. After the first few minutes I was very worried but we've turned it around. On a better day we would be 2-0 up. Both Rooney and Herrera's misses were unacceptable at this level. That being said if we continue like this we should win this game, and that's all that matters.
Where is this better day? I can't wait for itAfter the first few minutes I was very worried but we've turned it around. On a better day we would be 2-0 up. Both Rooney and Herrera's misses were unacceptable at this level. That being said if we continue like this we should win this game, and that's all that matters.
I hope you're not serious? If Van Gaal loves Rooney so much, then he should put Young on for Herrera. Then El Capitan can drop to #10 with Martial up front.
Do it. Just do it!
Only way I can see happening is if Herrera comes off for Young, Rooney goes back to a #10 and Martial goes up top with Young on the left.Is there any chance to see Martial play as a striker!?
Just look at the most important stat. Points.Terrible statistic really. Look at our goals column too. Its abysmal compared to other top half teams.
