Anyone willing to do a brief summary of how we've played - stats look good.

Sorry I didn't see the first half, I was lighting the beacon of Amon Din in tribute to Luke Shaw.

We are so dull to watch. Such a shame that on the 10th anniversary of the great Georges death, this is the football we're playing week in week out.

    Really not a LVG fan.

Anyway we need to speed up our attacks

If we fail to win qualification is going to be hard

I need to go back to not bothering with match threads. I enjoyed that half.
Yeah, me too. I came in here being happy with our display, but I'm gonna leave feeling like this is the worst display ever performed by a football team at any level.

I thought Martial has been the best of the front 4 tonight.
Nah, Rooney gets that nod from me - I've criticised him enough recently so have to acknowledge when he does well. Martial has been hit/miss but not bad.

I think the lack of team cohesion is showing, Martial, Memphis, Lingard and Rooney have not had much time to gel over the season and I think its hurting us today.

Martial especially I think he is not as sharp as he is usually, hopefully he doesn't need more than a few games to get back to 100%

Not sure our supporters can complain of lack of 'attacking play' tonight. Goals aren't there but game is open as anything I've seen all season.
This. It is not through lack of trying.

Couple of players having a bit of a meh, i.e Depay. Lingard lacking composure.

Thought Martial and Rooney offering a lot of movement which is causing opportunities.

    Rest all comfortable.

Overreactions in here. It was a good half with plenty of good moves from us. We lack that bit of sharpness up front and unfortunately the performances of some of the attacking players has been off, but if we push on we'll score a few.

depay off mata on. shift lingard to left mata on right. Ideally would bring perrera on for rooney but that aint happening. Is fellaini in bench ?
I'd rather play Mata through the middle, push Rooney upfront and move Martial wide left. That midfield needs some creative juice.

He has been shit. Can only play sideways
Idiotic post..best player for us this half, I counted three dangerous balls into the box so you're talking shite, he also hasn't wasted one ball, or misplaced one pass, his passing has been crisp and with purpose.

Dutch coach Verbeek says PSV has been running a marathon without the ball, and hopes it doesn't do them in in the second half.

Alright, this sounds good, three goals in the last twenty minutes.

Rooney has done nothing for me. I think maybe this shows how much the standards have dropped for him. He's been average at best in my opinion.

Defintely, great to see our play when we have 2 proper pacy wingers in Lingard and Depay, been along time since we had that much pace, Mata on the wings is an absolute waste

Surprised as well. That Lingard tiki-taka-bit when he shot and Martial almost scored was a joy. We should be 2-0 up. I'd like to see Martial and Memphis swap positions, though.

Have to say I've been quite disappointed at Scheweinsteiger of late. Thought he'd be much better at changing the angle of our attack with his passing. Just seems to possess no creativity or eye for a pass between the lines whatsoever.

Frustrating game, PSV happily man marking and transitioning to quick counter attacks.

Rooney is literally saved by the bell.

But Jesus, LvG is some innovator, that's for sure. Rooney who is actually scored quite a few headers from corners or free kicks is playing a defensive pick-up outside of the box, from Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin it's the later who is doing more ball distribution. Out of Smalling and Blind it's the former who is taking the ball to the opponent's half and is more often starts the attack. If Jones was healthy he would probably be taking corners.
It's like our whole game is based on the concept of "you would not expect that". Which is fine sometimes. When it's in 10-15% of the cases that's actually could be brilliant. But if it's a constant theme, it kind of defeats the whole purpose.

Yeah, he's as clueless as anyone I've seen paid money to talk about football, and I'm including that fat brummie guy whose name escapes me. He contributes nothing but noise.
I remember someone saying of the brilliant Richie Benaud that when he commentated, he only talked when there was something to say - Savage just wants to hear his own voice
