Apparently in what form one may wonder ? A tweet ? An interview ? An article ?
A tweet saying that David Amoyal said Di Marzio said he thinks it'll happen  But tbf, the David Amoyal guy is the actual guy who reports his stuff in English.

What kind of 'connections' does he have...
He's talking to David Amoyal on his sirius xm show and the David Amoyal guy reports for Di Marzio all the time. Also said he expects Chelsea to sign Teixeira either now or in the summer, and also Balde Keita might sign for Watford

That´s the new money danger for the big boys of the EPL. I honestly think Keita will be better than Anderson. 2-3 years ago Watford could never afford him. Now they can make a better buy than United for serious money, but still less than half of what Anderson will allegedly cost.

I still find it hard to believe that United offered 50. Find it even harder to believe Lazio said no.

The big was Last summer when Anderson came off a great season and maybe they thought there was more to come. Little did they know he'd be crap and fight with the manager.

Just don't understand this link. Doesn't he operate from the left? If he was a right winger, then fine - but I'm sure I've read that he's more of a left sided player. Would just be the case of fitting a player in the wrong position again.

Plus, isn't he awfully similar to Memphis?
He's a right winger. Rarely ever plays on the left.

Screams panic buy.

Don't think he's that good either. If the club really did offer 50 million for Anderson, that makes me worried.

So we bid 50 million for him in August, right? That makes some sense as he was very good last season. Bidding 50 million for him now (and an Italian team actually rejecting such amount of money for a player who's been openly criticised for his form by the manager) doesn't make much sense, if at all.

People moan about the state of the team.

People moan about possibly buying this guy

What do people actually want? Because we're not getting anyone else beyond this guys level in January

Well personally I'd rather we didn't buy anyone than spend silly money on a mediocre nobody that wont change our attack at all.

Don't want to get into an argument about whether he's good enough but how is buying someone in January you tried to buy the previous summer, screaming of panic buying?

LVG's job must be under no threat if he's going to be making 30+ million pound signings in Jan.

Haha that's hilarious. Can you not see how much different he would be compared to Mata on the wing?. His pace is frightening, he can actually dribble and can shoot very well from both feet.

Its quite clear what happened, he had a fantastic season and we came in for him, he wanted to leave and Lazio got greedy and said no. He's ended up getting upset and rowing with the manager/club, and now isn't hitting his best form.

I am sure that if we do go back In for him he will become a real threat for us.

People say "I would rather not spend the money" what a load of crap. At present our attack is VERY slow and obvious, we need too add some flair and imagination.

Woodwards final throw the dice to save 'his' man? Or could be a club signing if he's been scouted for as long as has been reported. Or most likely BS and we aren't in for him at all.

Nani and Zaha both had these attributes, it didn't end well for them, just because a player can run fast and dribble with the ball (it is actually arguable how good Anderson is at this anyway) doesn't mean he's going to do alot for us, added to this he will need to adapt, and in general LvG has a bad record with Brazilian players his impact could be limited, as will likely his playing time initially.

I agree with the not spending any money sentiment myself, other than a left back maybe, LvG has created this 'slow and obvious' attack himself, he could just have easily hung on to Nani, or Zaha to offer us some pace on the right until someone else came in, but he didn't and i'd rather not spend some of our next managers transfer budget to help bail him out.

I'm with you mate, can't please people on here. Its hilarious seeing everyone get annoyed with every single decision made and every single result.

It's clear everyone wants lvg gone and so do I but I also want us to sign some new players to improve things.

If it helps secure European football or finish a couple of league places up then it would be worth it because the differences in prize money could very well cover his transfer fee, at least. Financially and for improving our prospects for a summer rebuild we need to rescue this season and that means saving his ass since the board appears reluctant to do the logical thing. Besides money, for us, literally grows on trees so it's one resource we can afford to play around with.

If we are going for Brazilian flair, I'd prefer us to go for Alex Teixeira, who would also cost less.

Otherwise, why not go for Candreva? Natural right winger and probably cheaper than Felipe. This may finally unleash Darmian, as those two combined greatly at the last World Cup.

This all makes too much sense for us to do, seriously though we should be all over Teixeira.

Are people really still deluding themselves that if we change 1-2 players in attack we'll somehow magically start playing fluid, fast paced attack that will easily open defences?

Candreva will be 29 soon.

It's probably an LVG signing given he's been on about wide players, and the standard of ours', since forever.

All the tweets being posted do suggest this could be happening, or that we're trying, as do the comments made by both Anderson and the club' president, if they're all correct quotes.

I just hope he's a top class talent and not the standard the caf has declared him to be.

Don't worry, I'm sure LvG has done extensive research, just like with Di Maria, who he hadn't a clue how to use.

If that YouTube video is the best someone could come up with then it's not a great sign.

He looks infuriating.

I still can´t get over that Keita to Watford rumour. A two-footed physical 20 year old winger with pace that provides plenty of assists going to Watford. It´s like when nobody besides Sevilla wanted Konoplyanka for FREE. Both would have been great additions to United. And still cost less than Anderson, so I don´t derail the thread too much.

I just don't really get why we'd go for him, but maybe that's why we will. Nothing really makes sense these days.
Well he is probably the only person attainable this month and we are in need of a right winger.
