:lol::lol::lol:

You should watch the Grudge. For a while I liked the Japanese horror feels- much more about the psychological than blood and guts being spattered everywhere. They do get a bit same-y after a while though.
Seen it. Was pretty tame after The Ring though.

I thought Insidious was decent until the last 20 mins or so when it turned into utter dogshit. REC and The Conjuring are the 2 best horror movies from the past 10 years for me. Thought The Descent and Sinister were good movies too. With that being said, there really is a lack of top horror movies. Also too many horror movies are focused on supernatural stuff instead of real life creepy shit. I bet you could make an excellent gripping horror movie with a serial killer concept for example.

I watched Alien for the first time last night. It was rather cool

I'm glad the cat survived.
watched this when i was like 8 years old. I was living in the top floor (4th) of my building, no elevator. After watching the movie, i got traumatization for about 1 year... every time i came back from playing with my friends back home, i had to run at full speed through the stairs to get home, was absolutely sure the alien was gonna get me. I even saw (hallucinate) the tail a couple times.

i love the whole alien franchise, the first 2, are among my favourite movies of all time.

ps. last week i finished the game Alien: Isolation. Had to play it in easy mode. The paranoia playing it at harder levels was too much to handle.

 Yeah I can imagine it being a tad scary for an eight year old.

I've got the game but haven't played it yet. Glad I watched the film before playing it.

Spring was very good. Best horror i've seen in a long time, though not very traditional.

I think I'll watch The Thing tonight. I'll try and watch all the big classics that I haven't seen yet over the next month or two.
The Thing is rubbish.

fecks sake. It's like you have an insight into my thoughts and post everything that would annoy me.

The Thing is an excellent film, an absolutely cracking horror film. 2011 version isn't bad. 1950's version is very good too, considering.

So 2 and 3 are worth watching?
Two isn't really a horror, it's more of an action film and the best in the series. Everything after that is downhill. You should play Isolation, it's the most scared I've ever been by a game. It caused me to make noises I'm not at all proud of.

The Thing is brilliant too, the 1982 version.

Awesome film.

Yeah I'll play it soon. Looking forward to playing it now more than I was before watching the film.

Good to hear, I thought that was the general opinion.

Its not scary though. Also, the production is very poor, making the monsters look crap. It doesn't age well really.

I've not watched an horror film that is genuinely scary.

The aliens looked good, much better than all the CGI bollocks you see these days and I think it aged really well for the most part. I've seen it about ten times and will enjoy it just as much the eleventh.

I really liked the thing, both versions. Good story and keeps you guessing. Very suspenseful.

Horror is my favourite genre too and like a lot of you I've not been scared for many many years, I'll try and remember a few.

A girl walks home alone at night was decent,
Let me in,both versions,
Eden lake is quite good,
I saw the devil, decent,
Last house on the left,
Death note is different,
The host,
The visit was ok for a new film but could have been so much better,
Event horizon is a classic,
Audition,
Above as below was pretty good,
Duel, not really a horror but it's scary,
Hitcher, the original is a classic,
Wolf creek,
Joy ride is pretty good too.

I've seen hundreds of subtitled/non Hollywood films far too many to remember unfortunately .

If you want something that's horror and completely out of left field, give Rigor Mortis a go. Would like to hear people's opinions on that film.
