Under soil heating.
Fergie would've checked those toilets himself. In fact, I reckon LVG had a shit in one of the stalls and walked right past it.

Or... Maybe Woodward and LVG were just trying to find someone who is even worse at their job then they are?

The terrorists are forced to watch a Manchester United game, and promptly fall asleep.
Or on a constant loop, and pump them full of drugs to keep them awake.

Nah that seems a bit too cruel even for terrorists, would be more humane to just send them to Guantanamo.

I wonder how empty the stadium will be. I for sure am not waking up in the wee hours of the morning for this meaningless game.

I'm sorry but in retrospect the fact we brought in the military for a controlled explosion because of a forgotten decoy that has been left for FOUR days, finally noticed by some bloke taking a piss is just

Has Woody signed Zippos Circus as a sponsor yet?

Can't believe how negative everyone is being. It's 19 goals, not 2 million

De Gea
Fellaini - Herrera
Valencia - Januzaj - Rooney - Young
Mata - Rashford - Martial - Depay

This is a big feck up by the security company, the club can only blamed for the fact that it's been there since Tuesday, but then again i'm not sure how often do they do security checks anyway.

In the spirit of the club let's not terminate our contract with them, it's better to evaluate when it's over.

How can a security company be so stupid? Planting fake bombs then forgetting the removal part

£3m mistake

Surely a photo of the "device" was sent around to numerous people so a call could be made what to do with it? Beyond belief that it was not spotted that it was a fake from a test run.
I am pretty sure that under the procedures for dealing with a suspected bomb the "send picture of device to everyone" is not high on the list of things to do. Plus you are assuming that it would be an obvious fake, which considering the bomb disposal unit did a controlled detonation as a safety precaution we can guess it might not have been an obvious test device.

Weird that it didn't occur to anyone "hey, we had that training exercise on Tuesday, maybe this bomb that is in the exact same place as the training one and looks exactly the same as the training one is one of the training ones"
You are assuming that it was widely known where the test bombs were hidden , when it was just a likely the opposite was true.

Can someone sum up the last few pages for me?

As I understand, we planted it ourselves?
Nah, it was an external company I think. As far as I can see, all we did was let the clowns have run of Old Trafford and then fail to find the fake bomb they left behind for four days. Which is bad but not quite as bad as us planting our own fake bombs and then forgetting about them.

Amateurs.

Did Fergie run the security team too? It's like the whole club has become a farce since he left.

Not sure how the security company forgot about this device and I'm not sure how we miss it doing a pre-match sweep. Very amateurish and negligent. Good job all around from the security/police & stewards.

With the match being on Tuesday at 8pm, I would rest anyone that is going to start vs Palace.

Rest them all.

Johnstone
Varela, Mensah, Jones, CBJ
Pereira, Schneiderlin, Herrera
Mata, Memphis, Young

So amidst all the shit that happened today, not one person that was part of the security training didn't come forward and say it was a prop from the training and may have been left behind? A nobody from the grounds staff can put two and two together? Someone's job is going to be on the line. Hope the company has insurance.

So the security team fecked up, so what? I say we only sack them once it's impossible to reach top four.

I know a steward at OT and he says that the stadium is check completely before anybody is let in , that includes the loos.
They will know who the steward is that missed it, but to be fair, would he be looking for something like that ?
I have worked security for a long time and when checks are done you look for something unusual, but even so I am not sure I would of found it

It wouldn't matter if they did. You don't just drop protocol because someone says "oh that's one of our decoys". When you have 80,000 people to think of you go for the safest route.

Imagine being the guy that says "well it did look like one of ours, and Dave from Delta 7 said it probably was".

Perhaps the people involved in the training were not shown the device today? You act like everyone should have known it was a dummy device right from the start, Which is an assumption that you have no idea is true.

A lot is going to depend on where it was and was it somewhere the stewards were trained to check.

Still laughing at Scousers.
What an absolute shambles. It's astonishing how incompetent people can be. Wonder who's pocket the cost of this will come out of? I guess against failure to qualify for the champions league it's not much, nor against the loss of adidas money if we get a repeat next year, but it'd not be an insignificant amount.
Shambles is a good word but these 'calamities' are adding up and what should have been the easisest run in has turned into a catastrophe. There is no sign of anyone taking a grip like Gill or Fergie of old when we almost drifted off the path. Sponsors don't see calamities as fate or chance but a sign of how well the club is being managed. A good side rides its luck and generates its fate as Fergie so often proved. This series of calamities points to too many chiefs, not enough good people in the areas that matter, and sloppy admin. The football has also rapidly declined from boring to ineffective rubbish. The squad could be described as a shambles because we have no indication of when the rebuilding and building will be completed. There is no leadership on the field and no leadership from OT. All the while LVG is telling us our expectations are too high, which in itself has become almost a curse to everyone's morale. I had thought last week were eerily looking like 1970, now I fear we're drifting towards 1971-72. These are dangerous times, and this kind of sloppy complacency can turn an entire club upside down.

People are aware that we contract our security out to a firm called CES?

Criticising United for this error is a bit ridiculous, the club is as much a victim of this incompetence as Bournemouth.

It's a bit worrying the device went undetected until after the stadium filled up. Be interesting to know how long it went unnoticed.
