If there is a general election, what are the chances of a UKIP win? Seriously I wouldn't put it past the daft people in this country anymore.

The baby boomer generation are a bunch of twats when all is said and done. They had it handed to them on a plate because of their parents hard work and sacrifice and now this is their gift to the generations that follow them. feck them.

I really thought last year was the worst I could feel after an election result. So wrong. Feel ill.

I always thought like this but after today I'm genuinely uncertain about anything.

A frighteningly large number of people seem to use their vote in protest rather than rationally. Trump is anti-establishment.
Fortunately the democrats are stronger in the US, and the liberals will never everrrr vote for him. Still, can't believe the world is depending on Hillary soon.

Hmm, a lot of talk about a divided UK but I do feel that in our solitude from the goings on in Europe we'll eventually become united again, and ultimately (good or bad) more anti EU over time.

Less than 0 - even EssexRob wouldn't bet on that. They had 4 million votes in the last election and won 1 seat. So they'd maybe get a handful of seats at best.

So what are the chances of Scotland going independent and NI joining Ireland?

I used to dream we would vote remain.

Now I'll have to dream that Cameron says a big feck you and doesn't follow the referendum.

Such a stupid thing to bring to vote.

Tell my why this will be okay... and not just Boris slowly diminishing public services?
What the next Tory leader might do in the long term is open to much doubt, but in the short term i think we'll see a cessation to some of the intended cuts. It has been reported for a while now that ministers have become increasingly ticked off with the Treasury, and even the Tories' have their limits. Maybe they'll turn to somthing like national road tolls instead, so as to secure further revenue.

They will win plenty of seats and govern via a coalition with a smaller Tory party.

This was my genuine fear: BrExit has allowed the far right to gain moral legitimacy and this will lead to some crazed facist/racist rhetoric finding its way into centre-ground politics.
Add to that a possible Trump win in USA .... UK as we knew it is fcuked.

That's just not going to happen in Scotland. Not at all.

If Scotland become independent it'll be increased but expect Conservative to still be the dominant party for the foreseeable. Strong Labour areas in the north have voted Leave so looks like UKIP will gain Labour voters as well as some Conservative and other parties.

705k Leave lead. Leave 52% (11.5M) Remain 48% (10.8M). 276/382 declared.

Boris Johnson will do whatever serves his own interests best. I really don't understand this idea that the Tories are going to act nobly and reverse the damages done by Cameron and co.

An utter, utter embarrassment of a human being tbh. He's spent his entire career making little moves to remain in power and do what benefits him, while never committing to anything particularly concrete. If there's one good coming of this it's that his lizard mate George Osborne will be spending the rest of his political career doing lines on the backbenches.
I belive the pledge too hold immigration under 100000, a number plucked from the air, has led to this. They've often shot themselves in the foot with their political budgets, this time they chopped their own legs off

As does Richard Desmond. Billionaire media magnates who convince their working class readers to do whatever suits them. Fear is a powerful tool and people actually pay them to do it.
