Voted remain. Girlfriend's parents said we should leave because we had colonies before we were in the EU...

As said earlier .Voted Remain . Just the thought of Farage ,Boris, Gove and Duncan Smith shaping UK policies.

From the other thread..

Is that how they're going to announce it, in bits?
Yeah, authority by authority.

Better than waiting for everyone to count before releasing any results!

I couldn't vote because I'm abroad (well I could have but I didn't take an interest until it was too late).

However I would have voted Remain.

Voted remain. Both for my own personal/selfish reasons and, as I see it, the most sensible decision for the country going forward.

I don't think I've ever been this bothered about a political result in my lifetime. I'll be beyond disappointed if Leave win... for a whole number of reasons.

I hope it's remain. Would free movement between Ireland & UK still remain?
The Leave campaign have said the 'soft border' between the two countries would continue if we vote out. Whether that's true or not I don't know, though Ireland isn't in the Schengen Area which may be a factor.
