Hope Aguero is available for the derby. Don't want City fans to have an excuse when they lose next week.

On the second thought, lets get that fecker banned :D
Bollocks to that. He is the best player in the league and we have a much better chance without him playing! Couldn't give a shit what they say!
Ban the little shit.

He'll 100% be banned for that.

  • Media have picked up on it
  • The FA will want to be seen as consistent
  • It wasn't just an elbow to the face (which is awful enough), he nearly catches Reid in the THROAT. You crush someones windpipe and they -die-. Could have been incredibly nasty. Clearly intentional and dangerous.
Don't get me wrong, I don't care if he plays vs us or not, part of me would rather face their absolute best 11 because I want to see where we're at, but he should definitely get some punishment for that. I expect he will.

I want him to play. I don't want any excuses when Bailly and Blind have him in their pocket. Pogba is going to waltz through their mediocre midfield and Mkhitaryan is going to rip them multiple ass cracks while Zlatan dominattes their centre backs turning them into Stones :smirk:

I don't think people are saying he will escape a ban cause he's a City player. They're saying it because they think the FA are idiots.
There are some saying literally that in this thread:
It's a ban without a doubt. If it was one of our players we would see plenty in this thread already thinking it's a ban, weirdly. But city will get the decision in their favour like they always do these days.
He'll get away with it. It's a City player we're talking about.
I read more in the Premier League matchday thread but can't be bothered to find them. It's only a couple, fortunately, but it annoys me. It's so Rawkish.

Rooney screams into a camera and misses the semi v City.
Still stings City fans to this day...not beating a Rooney led United side...
(Puts tinfoil hat on) David Bernstein (previous chairman of Man City) was chairman of the FA at the time (Takes off tinfoil hat). But didn't City win that semi final 1-0?

We'll great then regardless of him being banned or not. However, him being banned means he misses two other matches, which weakens city

Can't understand how any United fan wants him to play. I mean seriously who gives a feck if any Bitter has excuses post-match, they'll have some regardless of whether or not he plays. The key thing is for us to get 3 points, not achieve a moral victory.

If Fellaini and Schweinsteiger were retrospectively suspended for elbows he needs to be too. But get the feeling he won't be.

Yeah, but it was v a Rooney-less United so it's a hollow victory.
There's an asterix next to that cup win to this day.

He should be banned for that. End of that video he almost half raises his hand like oh no I effed up..

I'll wait for the FA to see how they pursue this. If Basti and Fellaini got banned for a similar offense and others did too, I think he'll get a 3 match ban also.

If he gets banned, he misses our match and I'm fine with that. He almost always scores against us and I really don't care if they have all their players missing and play their academy kids and we trash them 6-0. End of the day all I care about is us winning and getting 3 points. I don't care who plays or doesn't play for the opposition. Did we care that Hull had half their team missing or did City fans care that WHU players were missing through injuries?! These things happen through the season and every team has to cope accordingly.

All this talk about Aguero not connecting properly and hence might get away logic is laughable. Remember when Scholsey got sent off at Anfield for trying to throw a punch at Alonso?! Well he didn't even touch the player, but the intent was there and he got banned for three games.

If the FA does the job right, he'll be banned. If not, it's a topic for our manager to use to our squad to bring a siege mentality among them. Either way, I'm OK with it.

But he really should get banned.

Kind of lucky there is international break next weekend cause then they might have time to appeal before the match in two weeks and maybe get a verdict before that time. But I dont rule out the possibility that IF he get banned it may be the game AFTER United.

Is there somebody who know more on how this work?

The rules changed several seasons ago, the hearing always happens before the next weekend round of matches, you used to be able to delay it by appealing, however the appeal is now heard in the same week as the initial hearing. If he's charged & found guilty then he will miss the derby.

If the referee confirms he did not see the action (which we think is the case but we don't know), then the FA can review it. However I really hope they ban him 3 games after the derby. We want to beat a full City so that they keep it quiet. No excuse. If not, they'll keep moaning about it. Let Aguero have his deserved 3 games ban after they lose the game against United... That's even better anyway ;).

Ah shame then... I don't want him to miss the derby. We need to beat a full City.

Won't work that way, the ruling and any appeal will happen before the next game.

It's so stupid to want players banned from a derby game. You need to be a special kind of twat to want something like that.

How what, sorry? I mean I've seen more blatant, aggressive attacks (for example many from Fellaini) go unpunished. Not saying this should go unpunished, I don't think it should, but I can't see him getting banned.
I've watched this many times and he clearly clinches his fist looks at Reid and nails him right when Reid moves his head towards the ball.. This is as dirty as anything Fellaini has done.. Or worse..

Who cares about them? We want to win. Aguero being out (rightfully so) will create a bigger chance for us to do so.

Classic Trevor.
He doesn't even know the rules. It's not about if there was contact or not. The intent was clearly there. Attempted murder is still a crime even if you don't kill someone. It makes posts like this even more funnier:

Ex-professional footballer pundits just have way more idea about football then the average caf user.

Actually, you've need to be a special kind of twat to elbow someone in the throat.
