When you consider how much we've spent, and the idea of putting a line up like that out

I want to ask who's out for us for this game, but it's probably easier to ask who we have that's actually available

Very confident against Arsenal. We generally do well at home against them. Last time we beat them with our kids, it's at OT and then we now have Mourinho. No excuse for dropping points!

Play Fellaini and watch us gets ripped apart in the midfield. We need a very dynamic midfield to have any chance to get a result.

    Debuchy, you would imagine.

I still think Rooney should start at LM. Even more so now that Bellerin is injured. We'll see.
Holy shit, I was certain Debuchy was at loan somewhere. Can't believe he's still at Arsenal.

I'd love a repeat of last seasons match at Old Trafford. My favourite Sunday of last year.
still remember tiptoing up the motorway, being the least excited for this fixture in years, hoping we wouldn't get ruined

I remember that match. So many first teamers were injured.
Most fans had written that game off as a loss, before it even started.
Then BAAAM!!! Our youngsters played the Warren Joyce way and we battered AFC. There was very little side/back passing in that match because LVG didn't have enough time to Vangle these youngsters.
That was probably the game of the season, for me.

Arsenal are no pushovers, especially if Sanchez is back, but we need a win to go on a run. We can't allow to fall further behind, Mourinho better work his magic on this one. Please for the love of good don't be defensive...

If he’s fit then Phil Jones will be an absolute nailed on certain starter. Hoping Valencia is fit enough to play right back is kind of indicative of where we are, nevertheless, I hope he’s fit.

    Hopefully Carrick starts.

It’s a big game against a top 4 rival and therefore id expect something a little different from Jose. With Zlatan out, I am going for Rooney in the false #9 with Martial and Rashford as wide forwards.

    Soooooo

    --------------------De Gea-----------------

    Valencia--------Jones------Blind------Shaw

    -------------------Carrick--------------------------

    --------Herrera-------------Pogba-----------

    -------------------Rooney-----------------------

    ---Rashford-------------------------Martial---

Lots of bodies in the middle but Maintaining width up top and with pace.

This was the last side we put out when we last won 3-2 against Arsenal at home:

    De Gea
    Varela
    Carrick
    Blind

    Rojo
    Schneiderlin
    Herrera
    Lingard
    Mata
    Memphis
    Rashford

Those in bold I would guarantee to be starters against Arsenal, but not too sure about the rest. On paper, the side for the next match is considerably stronger than last seasons side that won. We don't have any excuses should we lose.

This was the Arsenal side that played us:

    Cech
    Bellerin
    Gabriel
    Koscielny
    Monreal
    Ramsey

    Coquelin
    Walcott
    Ozil

    Sanchez
    Welbeck

Those in bold I think could start for them, and just not sure about Sanchez, with Bellerin and Welbeck out too.

    Cech
    Bellerin
    Gabriel
    Koscielny
    Monreal
    Ramsey
    Coquelin
    Walcott
    Ozil
    Sanchez
    Welbeck

No Mata, Rojo? Or am I missing something.
Mata could come on as substitute but Rojo. I think it would be good for Shaw to get experience alongside Blind and Jones, with Valencia wearing a cast.

We had no fecking business winning that game. Remember waking up the next day, hungover as hell. First thing that happens when I wake up, my mate comes busting into the hotel room still buzzing about the match. Great day out.

    Sanchez will play against Uruguay.

If he's fit for that game, he'll be fit for Saturday.

    De Gea

    Valencia Jones Blind Shaw

    Carrick

    Herrera ............. Pogba

    Mata .......................... Martial

    Rashford
    Subs:

    Mkhitaryan
    Morgan
    Young

With Zlatan out and Rooney doubtful, this looks like the most likely lineup.

Shame rooney is out. His best game in ages and then gets injured and we all know how long it takes him to recover his fitness from any injury. Looks like we are missing 5 or 6 potential starters for this though?
    My guess is:
    De gea
    Darmian Jones Rojo Blind
    Carrick
    Mata Herrera Pogba Martial
    Rashford
Possibly Mkhitaryan though I cant see Mourinho starting him. I would put him on the left with Martial top if it was up to me though, leave rashford to be a sub.

Jose should be starting Martial/Rash up top. But he'll start Rooney no doubt, and I'm almost certain the Arsenal defence will have no problem dealing with him. Unless we get proper confirmation, I don't believe Rooney's injured.

In any case, not confident about this:(

Have you not seen recent events? We are down our full defence (first choice) and without our main striker. Arsenal are flying and top of the league or there abouts. You think there is no excuses?

I think beating them last season shows that we should really beat them any season, regardless of the circumstances. They last beat us in the league at OT in '06 (I think).

Valencia wiil not start, he fractured his arm a few weeks back.
It may be too soon for him but he's no longer wearing the cast on his arm as he posted a video of himself training in the gym over a week ago...

Also a few news reports this week are claiming he could be in line for an early return this weekend. Given what Jose said about players making themselves available despite a bit of pain... it wouldn't be a big shock I don't think.
