He had a fallout with Zlatan. He posted some video in which he called out Blanc for allegedly being a suck-up and Zlatan for running the show in PSG.

Club later suspended him and wanted to get rid but shortly after he was back in the team as a starter.

No apology from his part tho.
There is no fallout between them.

Yeah you just made my point, he thought Zlatan was untouchable at PSG (he was their star man, what did he expect).

Imagine him with guys like Rooney? If he can't deal with star plauers getting preferential treatment (think Ronaldo, Cantona etc) then his character should stay well away from a top club that tends to be full of top players demanding special treatment.
Don't think that the ego was the problem, it was more Zlatan's "bullying" that sent him on the rant path.

Don't really want him anywhere near us. He seems like a waste of space and a bad influence in the dressing room.

Bullying? Thought he was pretty well liked at PSG? From the rant that Aurier had all I got from is that Blanc was a weak manager that let his players do what he wanted, and Aurier didn't like that very much so had a little cry.

A team dressing room at a top club is made up of egotistical players who will constantly try to push the boundaries and its up to a manager to keep that I'm check, a player (Aurier) doing what he did just reaks of cowardice that he could voice hia concerns through the proper channels.

I wouldn't really want that type at this club, also I didn't really want Zlatan (evidence buried in the newbs sorry).

Zlatan was one of the players who 'voted' to bring him back, no? I'm sure I read one of the PSG/French posters say something like that.

Check out that video on YouTube in which Zlatan kicks Cassano during his time in Milan. There were bunch of prayers he did stuff like that to.

That's great, I don't really care about a character that's on it's way of this club, I care about players who could be joining this club, Aurier doing what he did doesn't show the right mentality to be here, we need to get out of this phase of bringing in whiny, weak and petulant attitudes.

Zlatan might be a bit of a prick (is) but that doesn't absolve any questionable actions Aurier has taken.

Yeah, of course. He is a very talented RB but he tends to do stupid things quite often.

They didn't really vote, iirc the club asked the players if they had a problem with Aurier and they said that they didn't. Only Blanc and Al Khelaifi were really bothered by Aurier's comments.

What I remember about Ibrahimovic specifically is that he asked someone to translate what Aurier said and along other leader of the locker room thought that it was stupid but there was no fallout. Basically it was the same situation than with Drogba, everyone think that he is a nice but slightly dim.

Zlatan gives zero fecks about anyone's safe space. Those nicknames are hilarious people are just too damn easily offended these days.

On topic - would love Aurier here. Hopefully his arrival would be preceded by a discussion with Mourinho about maturity and professionalism.

I think Valencia has matured into a very good right-back. If, Darmian leaves we just need a young player to replace him as a squad player. I thought Mensah was decent when he played at right back.

Our priority is Carrick replacement and a left sided winger. Martial and Rashford can then be future forwards rather than wingers.

Only problem is that he'll by 32 by the time the next season starts. He's a physical monster, but how much longer can he go on for? Most players tend to lose their pace somewhat sharply near that age.

If Tony loses his pace, he's got nothing. Aurier is a dipshit but he'd be an excellent addition if Jose can keep him productive.

He is a very fit guy. I would think he has a few more seasons at the very top.

If a disciplined replacement for Carrick can be found Valencia can be very effective going forward. He would then not need as much pace and energy. He was very good yesterday knowing Carrick would fill any void if he was out of position. Herrera, and Fellaini are not the players to protect full-backs. Much of our problems this season have been Carrick not playing, or able to play many games.

Distin kept his pace at 35. People are different. I played against a 42 year old who was electric on the first ten yards. Not everyone is Rooney.

Good post. I'm surprised not more people see how well Carrick covers for fullbacks, especially down the right side.

Back over on newbie forum i kept saying that we can't see Valencia's full attacking potential due to him having to play it safe because he knows there's nobody holding his back if things go awry.

Yesterday he had Carrick covering for him and he was our best man on the pitch. Would like to see Valencia unleashed as RW with Darmian on RB behind him.

Would PSG actually sell Aurier? I thought he was their first choice RB but maybe they have someone else coming through to replace him

Agreed. Would love to see him at rw again. He looks for less apprehensive in his approach. Monreal was useless against him.

I don't think they are friends but they could play together once again without problem.

Aurier has never insulted or offended Zlatan just said he was not scared of nobody, including Zlatan

Zlatan used to give nicknames to his teammates and I know Aurier was not very happy to have been nicknamed 'Bamboula', a term that could be viewed as racist term.

Trapp was called 'Adolf'

Di Maria was called 'Dumbo'

Verratti 'Spaghetti'
Pastore 'earthworm'

Rabiot 'Maman Rabiot' because his mother is his agent

Blaise 'Banania'
Zlatan the big racist.

I think you're joking but for anyone who'd take this seriously.. He was (still is i'd presume) good friends with Camara at PSG and Vieira at Inter etc. Seems to be getting on well with Bailly as well.

Pourquoi?
I think it was for assaulting a police officer in Paris a couple months ago.

He's not that great a RB, he's not in a proven league and he seems to be a bit of a nutter. Surprised we're even linked with such shite.

The authorities have cited that as the reason but apparently full transparency was given to the authorities on PSG's initial application to which they allowed him, only for them to turn around after and cite the reason (they knew of when they allowed) as the reason they are disallowing it.

Sounds like foul play to me, perhaps Wenger had a word ;)

Do we really need another A-Hole at the club? Aurier is a clown personified. LvG is a twat. Should have spent money on Coleman instead of Darmian at the time. He ticked all the boxes. Our transfer planning is a shambles if we buy this fella.
Obviously haven't seen much of Coleman the last couple of years

Zlatan tend to do that with weak managers. In Italy a sarcastic group called the autogol used to portray Allegri as some sort of Ibra's ruffian.

Out of interest, how long would a person get in the UK for resisting arrest, causing affray and assaulting a police officer. Aurier got 2 months prison which of course he's appealing and won't serve at any time soon. He is however a convicted felon.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
PSG think Arsenal are behind the decision and believe the decision "attacks the very integrity of the CL"

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...arred-from-entering-britain-for-arsenal-clash

Couldn't be clearer really:

“Mr Aurier received a two month custodial sentence in September for assaulting a police officer. The immigration rules clearly state that non-EU nationals who have received a custodial sentence of less than 12 months within the last five years will be refused on criminality grounds.

“All applications are carefully considered on their individual merits, in line with the UK immigration rules and based on evidence provided by the applicant.”

Do you know that Aurier also applied for french citizenship a while ago but his demand was rejected for some stupid reason (a fight in school with kids or something).
You lot berate immigrants and then when someone's visa/citizenship request is rejected, you then call foul play.

:boring:
