I think it's been better than last season. The middle few episodes were a bit shit, but I think it's picked up again in recent weeks now that the story has become more focused.

I'm three episodes in and I'm not that impressed with season 5. Is it worth sticking with?

First episode was interesting. The next few were all over the place. The last couple have settled down again. It's getting better, imo.

I'm forced to watch this with my g/f but this season has been a lot better the past two. I'm getting into the narrative and I'm loving the 80's theme. Lady Gaga was a big surprise and she's looking fit so happy all around.

First season was alright. Second one is very good though, I enjoyed it.

Haven't watched more, but from what I hear the second season is considered the best. Quite rightly so. Some great characters there, also decent story.

Is this worth watching? Summer lull coming up and need something to binge on … welcome any comments
Yeah, it's inconsistent as each season has a different theme.

Second and third seasons are the best IMO. Freak show was the worst one so far IMO, which is a shame as it started so well.

Crime Story I thought was very good, apart from the guy that played O.J. Simpson. Which kind of ruins it a bit.

I havent seen series 5 yet, after 4 - the freakshow one - I was a bit put off. But I will watch it and hope it gets back to its old self - the first three serieses were very good I thought.
Hated season 3, really liked 4 actually. Have you seen the movie Freaks from 1932? It paid a few great tributes to that film, which is why I may have liked.

Season 6 has started well.

So I just watched the first episode of season 1 after hearing a lot of good things. I got to say, I absolutely hate the editing and pacing. I'm also not a fan of the characters and the dialogue so far.

Does it get better? I heard that every season there's a new story, so my hope is that the writers and directors also change.

Season 1 is probably the best at out of the lot. Stick with it.

Quite enjoying season 6 so far, I wasn't sure about the premise to begin with but it's grown on me.

Yes I'd say this has been good, probably the show's 2nd best season (so far) and far better than last season by far. Besides the first 2 episodes, pacing has been good, and it isn't as convoluted with too many plotlines happening at once, which has been one of the shows faults in every season. Plus there's been some actual horror too.

I've seen the first 3 seasons now, most of it overnight whilst sitting in a rocking chair with my 2 year old son while he has the flu. It's good camp fun so far, but the first time I've seen anything scary in it is the clown in season 4.

That was the worst ending of them all. Disappointing considering the strong start.

Recently finished the second series of this. Thought it was better than the first, but in both series I was having to force myself to watch the last few episodes just to find out what happens and tick off a series, lost interest a bit in them towards the end.

Not sure whether to continue into series 3 and beyond. Is it just more of the same?

Coven (season 4) is completely different from Asylum. Give it a go. Freakshow (season 4) reminds me a bit of Carnivale (early-mid 2000s HBO show). There's a dichotomy between the series which I think should be enough to intrigue you to keep watching

American Crime Story
American Horror Story
The Americans

All average?
They are all produced by FOX and all screened (in America) on the FX channel. Sara Paulson who's been in every AHS season played Marcia Clark on American Crime Story and Cuba Gooding jnr who of course played OJ also had a role in AHS Roanoke. They are all very well produced and written shows. The Americans comes highly recommended and its a regular series with a continuing story of a married couple of Russian spies living in the US during the Reagan/Cold war era.

There's another show called American Crime produced by ABC that has a similar concept to AHS, same actors playing different characters in new stories each season
