From a tweet: "Fernandinho will get four match ban (2nd red in PL). Will miss Cup game v West Ham plus PL matches v Everton, Spurs & West Ham"

I don't think a red card will make much difference. It was Burnley Herrera was sent off against wasnt it? And we just kept piling on the pressure after that and still should have won easily.

Defoe should've had a bloody hat-trick by now.
And that's the thing about Defoe, he's a real wind up. At West Ham, Spurs wherever he always needed a ton of chances to score, always took the greedy ball option of pushing wider and wider to shoot even when he could have thought about creating options for team mates -now he's supposed to be a hero because he got a few goals for Sunderland.

4 game ban though, and his replacement will likely be Fernando who is rubbish.

Teams create chances against us regularly? I think we allow fewer shots against us than most.
No. They create their chances from mistakes from your average defence. You have had more goals conceded from errors than any other side in England if you want to mention stats.

When Sturridge gets the ball outside the box keepers may as well automatically start diving to their right hand post. He's that predictable.

Sturridge has been dangerous all game. His feet work is so quick and get off a shot very fast

GJ Fernandinho. How are City looking though? Odds are pretty high on them to win the game now.

Red card looked no worse than what Rojo's twice got away with, hilariously.

Oh well yeah that's a valid criticism. It's what Chelsea don't seem to have an issue with.

Dont get why they keep allowing him onto his left foot. You know thats what he wants to do. Im pretty sure Everton allowed it as well.

How are Liverpool and City that high up the table with that kind of defending?

John Hartson on the BBC:

I don't think it is a red card, I think it is harsh.

His feet are up, but when he actually makes contact with the ball his feet are on the ground. It's a little soft and Fernandinho should know you can't go in with two feet, but for me it is just a yellow card.

I think he makes contact with the ball and the player when his feet are firmly on the ground. It's more of a block tackle.

Wtf is a 'block tackle'? Pretty sure he and the rest of his BBC cronies couldn't stop going on about how Rojo should've been sent off twice for a not too dissimilar tackle.

He flopped around like a starfish a few games in a row in the Moyes's season and got a bad rep then. Getting nothing from refs ever since.
Even then players were always going in very hard on him on a consistent basis and he rarely got anything from the officials.
