Yeah the Dutch are quietly confident, but we took Feyenoord apart earlier in the season, and they are currently above Ajax in the league.
Nope I live here and there are a lot of loudmouths. In the media, among fans and the casual "woah dutch club in a europea final" watchers.

Hate to play devil's advocate because I am hating their guts and the way they look down on us, but Ajax took apart Feyenoord just recently. It was 2-1 with a lucky feyenoord goal at the death but everyone including feyenoord acknowledged ajax Could have scored five or six. Had the league gone on for a few weeks more they would have been champions. He lost stupid points when he tried to change the de boer system into his way of playing during the frst half of the season.

They are the most in form eredivisie team and it says enough that Bosz the ajax coach has been chosen As the manager of the year ahead of van Bronckhorst who delivered feyenoord their first title in 18 years.

This is going to be a tough stuff. Last four games in this competition were heart attack stuff.

Mourinho celebrated and was so emotional at the end of the semi-final, that I am sure he is CERTAIN we can easily beat Ajax.

Their style of football plays perfectly into Mourinho's hands...he loves soaking up pressure and hitting sides where it hurts. Ajax leave a lot of space in behind. This is Jose's dream scenario. Ajax are a very good side, but they are the perfect side for United to play against. We'd suffer against a worse side with a different approach.

Mourinho knew when we beat Celta that we would be lifting the Europa trophy. We'll pick em of easily.
Given that we struggled to beat Celta Vigo and Anderlecht I find that highly unlikely.

They're a good side, as we saw against Lyon, but I think it will depend on the mindset of the United players after last night. If they're subdued, we could be in trouble, but I think we'll be up for it. Credit to Mourinho to persevere in this competition when he could have prioritised the league. The United players know they'll be playing for a chance to be in the CL next season, and I think the Ajax defenders will struggle to cope against the speed and skill of Rashford and Martial. Ajax are very open and attacking, and I think this will play right into our hands. Mourinho is the master tactician, and he'll have Ajax sussed.

I'm shitting bricks here lads already.
Also events from last night have shocked me. IF we lose tomorrow I'm thinking about not watching football for some time. It's cause I know the reaction here will be shocking and she cannaet hold the strain (or how it goes :D ) and it will be poisonous. Also when you see things like the attack you realize football is just football, a game, it isn't the most important thing in the world.

I'm a bit down tonight, I guess I'll be my oldself tomorrow. :)

Just seen some phtotos of the players in the stadium out on the pitch!

It's good to see DDG there! Surely if he was nailed on going to Madrid JM wouldn't want him around the squad before the most important match of some of their careers. Good sign.

? Jose is not like that, he likes to involve everyone, it's his way of doing things. So we wouldn't know.

I'm not going to declare LvG's time here a success. But now because there's no alternative and the media protect Mourinho suddenly the standards are lowered drastically. You're fooling yourself and your clutching at straws and you probably know it, I'm not going into all the stuff people here make up to make it look like he's done a good job. The man is not a guarantee for success, he has failed in Madrid, at Chelsea and now at United, in the old days he used to have something invincible about him and had his players play with all the confidence and prowess in the world, but I've seen nothing of that kind in this United team. It's over, he's lost what he had, and referees and opponents don't fall for the same mind games anymore either. The only ones who still do are the supporters who were expecting him to challenge for the PL this season since december '15. A sneaky, cheating win tomorrow won't change that.
No he did not fail at madrid. Where did you get that. Prior to zidane winning the la liga, he was the manager who helped them won the laliga and that ti when barca were dominant. He improved Madrid's mentality big time. They were just like us now, all galactic signings but in shadow of barca. Under jose, madrid played one of the best counter attacking king footballs , and yet people say he failed. No he didn't, if anything he made pep quit barca.

And neither did he failed at Chelsea, yes he had a bad last season but he still won the league. If you call that failure then what does that make other managers.

As for his time at united, the jury is still out. If tomorrow we win the europa, how will that be a failure. He is here to stay and we can judge him at the end of next season

Chelsea 4-0 in the FA Cup final in 1994.
Oh, and Newcastle 2-0 in 1999 was a bit of a stroll, unlike another cup final that year.
FA Cup final in 2004 against Millwall

Champions League final in 2008 could have been if Tevez didn't miss those two sitters in the first half.
Could have been 3-0 in first half and game over.

Agreed,This place will go Bat sh!t if we loose tomorrow.

This is probably the first final in a while I havent been confident we can win post SAF as the EFL one I thought we would win easily only it didnt exactly pan out that way only for some brilliance from Ibra.

What happens if Romero got injured ?
I doubt he'd call upon Pereira for such an important match.

Hoping to stumble upon some United fans in town, if anyone has any information on where that might be, let me know.

I am unusually working in London all day, torn between getting 'home' or staying in London to watch the game with fellow reds, any suggestions about where to watch if I stay in London ?

If we lose, I just hope we get deservedly beaten. It'll be a lot easier to stomach. I don't think I could bear getting cheated out of it by a ref decision or whatever
