Seems like this one is happening eh? Pff, did not want anyway. The italian Welbeck.
:-(
Meanwhile you are stuck with the Honduran Joe Hart in goal

On a serious note though, do you think he'll do well in the PL?

He is very talented. The question is whether he will be able to make the next step and establish himself as a top 10 striker.

Think like Pogba he might need time to acclimatise and the Caf will be full of stupid threads before that like Pogba was subjected too.

But I think this will be a signing that will help make us more than the sum of our parts.

It is something our attack needs.

I am sure he will score for fun and at the end of the next season people will say something like "he has improved a lot" because most people can't live with the fact they were utterly wrong.

Of course and the media will be out in full force, Souness will say he's not as good as Origi, oppo fans will say he's garbage for not scoring at a rate of 2 in 1. Then when he scores that important goal and gets on a run "Oh but he cost ____"

My guess is yes but no idea really. The huge pricetag might bring a bit of unnessecary pressure though. I hope you guys don't expect a new Messi or anything.

I didn't realise how poor his goal scoring was for Juventus, 15 in his first season only 12 the next, hope that was due to his age
Wasn't their starter, subbed in more than started. Still the second highest and third highest scorer respectively.

he was 22/23,when he played for juve and still got double figures.was a bench player last year and was playing with vasquez, isco and James whenever he comes on and still got 19/20 goals..he is 24,so isn't even yet at his peak(bit like saying pogba is at his peak already) and never been given a proper chance...

he is a grounded boy and knows he has to work hard when he gets here, doesn't have an ego and doesn't feel like he has made it,so as something to prove...

he will surprise people here, juve were raving about him and pogba when they had them.would have kept him if not for the buy back clause and Madrid activating it.

Screw the fee. It's just money and not our money. Morata was such a game changer of the bench for us. We will not be able to replace him.
A Player like him was never going to be content with that role, if I was in charge of Real I'd offer him a starting role quick sharp to ward us off, you'd be daft to let him go.

Because he is not a starter? He was only 22/23 years old back then, no way he is starting every game for Juventus already. He has 15 goals in 25 starts for the first season, and 12 goals in 24 starts for the second season. Looks much better now, doesn't it?

That is the standard approach. Pogba even made a top flop list in the English media, meanwhile someone like Xhaka didn't get a mention.

Also his transfer fee will be translated directly from Euros to Pounds and made to include add-ons, bonuses and wages.

Here you go muppets, time to get your cocks out. He's exactly what we need in front of goal.

He's quick and keeps it simple, his link up play could excel along with Rashford. He's played at the highest level so OT stage shouldn't bother him. He's only 24 and still has a lot to learn. Not a fan of him but I will back whoever comes to this club.

I don't really know that much about him tbh but if Jose wants him that's good enough for me.

He should settle in fairly quickly too due to the heavy Spanish contingent we have.

We have a 3rd.

This is turning into a meme, soon we won't be able to tell apart those who genuinely think he's Italian. :(
It's one thing for a sea of drones to speak with such certainty about a player they've probably never even see play, but getting the nationality wrong, and being so certain, "Italians can't cut it here" as if it's some sort of absolute truth, should really be some sort of ban

Gathering a little bit of momentum this, I think he would be quality for us. I have a feeling not everyone will be satisfied with our transfers this summer(unlike last year). I think Morata is quality and will fit in well, his conversion rate is good. There are not many good options left and he's been good whenever called on. He's a good age and had a great stint in Italy in the past(scoring in a CL final). I find it disrespectful that people are calling him the spanish Welbeck, he's not always injured and is much more clinical than Danny. I think the potential transfer fee is putting people off, each to his own I suppose.
I'd much prefer us quietly putting together a championship challenging team that people on here underrate, rather than the sea of hype from last year!
Or even from the Schmidfield!

I avoid YouTube clips from Scout Nation. The first minute is usually intro with sappy music, then the video starts with even worse music.

This is a massively underrated benefit.
Which is quite curious really, as everyone was raving about the Griezmann - Pogba potential, from a few international meets. You can't beat proper week in week out linkups

Very, very excited about this signing. Hopefully we can agree a few with Real Madrid.

He is strong, fast, classy on the ball, great header, superb finishing, good footballing brain and is at the right age. He may be a tad overpriced, but that's how the market is right now. The most important thing for us supporters is that our team gets the injection of quality we need.

The comparisons with Welbeck and Giroud is some of the most ridiculous stuff I have read on a football forum. Just lazy, and shows a total lack of knowledge of the player.

I have confidence in Mou's ability in the transfer market, and Morata will prove that in abundance if he comes to Old Trafford.
This!
So many opinions thrown around without even watching a player play the game before...

For the prices mentioned it would be a rip off.
From my calculations he's worth about 35.5 at the most, United could add 2 or 3 million but anything beyond that is crazy money.
United accountants don't know anything and for the mentioned prices it would be too heavy burden on his back and he would probably play badly.

Haha

I'm excited!!!!

They are much better suited on the field. The Griezmann Pogba combo sounds good in theory and off the field they are massive, but on the field i think Pogba could thrive more with Morata, due to playing further forward and leaving room for Pogba behind him to operate as he wishes

Yeah, realistically your not going to get better bench players than Morata and James.
Yeah, but it was fun while it lasted and it made sense in the end. Just look at our season.

We love to hate Benzema, but his selfless approach to the game does make Ronaldo a better goal scorer. There's no denying that.

Morata is a real 9, he looks for the goal and there is nothing selfless about him. Our game would suffer if he was to replace Benzema in the starting 11.

Doesn't always work like that. Morata can potentially get team mates involved more, rush the opposition defense more, help us play a faster pace and be more clinical when it matters. All possible.

I think it's a good signing for the team and for the player.

We lost Ruud and didn't have a better goal scorer immediately but went from league cup win to premier league win.
Yeah, I get that, it's not that simple. I would be happy with this signing but we still need more creative players around him, that's all I'm saying.

Agreed but Music aside his compilations are usually the best.

I think he would be a good signing for us. It's the wide positions that I'm worried about. Hopefully we get this one done soon, so we can focus elsewhere.

Yes. If Mou can get him to make the final leap he'll become one of the 6-8 best players in the world. Remember peak Torres? He'll be better than that
