The amount of business Mou/United do with Raiola and nothing with Mendes is weird. Surely there is something wrong behind the scenes with Mendes and not just a conicidence
Just bad timing with Mendes and the clients he has. Look at the players we signed and tell me who from Mendes list could compete.

Look at what you've just written.

I can't be the only one who is fuming at the dynamic of football right now.

I don't believe it's coincidental that we have now taken 4 of the guys clients.

Some may say that he has the best clients so obviously we deal with him often. I don't buy that.

Agents are moving close to exclusivity of sorts with clubs. It's a really weird time. Don't like it at all.

Who owns Man Utd? Mino Raiola does. Now go and sign up Mbappe as your client!

Mendes probably has a voodoo doll of Raiola full of needles under his bed.

We are the biggest cash cow in football, and Raiola got us locked down tight.

What would you prefer it to be like instead?

What would you prefer it to be like instead?
- The players to be in control of their own destiny.
- The agents industry to be capped, regulated and transparent.
- Conflicts of interest declared and agents be 'recused' from certain deals.
- Handcuff deals dead and buried.
- Agent press releases being given the derision they deserve.
- Agents cannot represent players as well as managers.

For starters. I could go for days. Even the points above have sub-points.

It's a putrid swamp of toxic shit. Everyone knows it but nothing is done about it.

My friend is an agent to a few players. He hates the industry but earns decent coin. He's rewarded for unrest and not good intentions. He has a decent moral compass but after his daughter was born he basically engineered a deal that benefited him and nobody else. He did that for regular-people money. I can only imagine how tempting it is for real money.

Who else does he represent?
We have all of his best players. The only one left who doesn't currently play for us or hasn't in the past, who you'd actually want, is Donnarumma.

We just need him to sign up Mbappe, Neymar, Veratti & Sandro and we're laughing.

I appreciate that we signed great players he represents but he's a shady cnut. I'll withhold judgement until one of his clients is up for a new contract.

Mino Raiola has played a key part in Manchester United’s bid to snatch Romelu Lukaku from under the noses of Chelsea.

United surprisingly moved into pole position to sign Lukaku for £75million from Everton after receiving a tip off from the Belgian’s agent Raiola at the start of the week that an agreement may be possible.

Chelsea had been expecting to take Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer, but progress regarding negotiations with Everton and Raiola had been slow.

United’s close relationship with Raiola seems to have been vital in Jose Mourinho’s bold move to hijack Chelsea’s interest in their former player.

Are you serious? The fat piece of s*** is the reason Pogba left us in the first place and is now getting rich off of us because we're willing to spend incredible amounts for his clients. What exactly has he done that is so valuable to us? The sole reason he moves his clients to United is because we fill his pockets, that's it. Jesus Christ, some of you are true muppets.

I have never been a fan of one agent representing too many key players at the same club. Its too much influence and leverage in the hands of the agent imo.

Would rather have players from multiple agents and having those agents competing.

I agree he's a piece of shit (but that's what it takes to be successful) but I would have left too if my manager had someone unretire instead of playing me (and play a RB in midfield)

We're supposed to praise an agent now?

We're probably playing a dangerous game by filling our squad with so many of his players. Contract renewal negotiations are going to to be hell.

According to the Forbes list posted in the other thread Mendes is much more successful than Raiola. Maybe the needle thing is the other way round?

People hate him because he has a reputation of someone people should hate. I have no clue what it's based on though. The fact that Fergie didn't like him?
Raiola is a tough negotiator & he doesn't bend. SAF has his own way & he doesn't like people who go against it. Just different characters having different interest clashed. Doesn't make one bad person & the other saint.

He's a cnut, but this is why he is really strong in nowadays market tbh. As long as he's on our side we're good. The problem will be if he decided to turn the tables on us some years later.

As other poster has said, Mendes trumped Raiola in money making. Mendes pretty take over & string clubs, while Raiola pretty much just served his clients to take the cut however big the fee is. Mendes would appreciate Raiola taking the spotlight & getting investigated while him quietly get the money flown

Appreciating an agent. Seen it all?
Yeah, I'm not one to shit on agents because I believe they're vital to players not getting fecked over by clubs but an appreciation thread is fecking weird to say the least.

Financial Times interview from October.

In 1992 Intermezzo helped with the transfer of Dutch winger Bryan Roy from Ajax to Foggia in Italy. Raiola’s personal service included spending seven months with Roy in Foggia, and helping paint the player’s house.
All in all, he doesn't come across so bad.

Zlatan also mentioned, that when meeting Riola for the first time. Riola told him to sell his cars and watches and start working harder.
