He's been shot for a long time so I see no possible way he could ever return to anything like his previous best. If he's scores 12 league goals this year he'll be very happy imo.

It would be the most shocking part of next season for me, I just don't see it. Zlatan is a bad comparison because he was always in shape and always had an impact, it also didn't hurt to play in the French league for years with a stacked team. I'd be very happy for him though, the way his career is slowly wrapping up, I wish he could have closed his chapter here with a league title or a champion's league, or had an impact in the final of the europa league. I just hope he gets a good send off at the end of his playing career.

Cant see it happening,to be honest.Rooneys fitness and form has been in steep decline for over a couple of years now.His body shape means its very unlikely he will get back his touch and form of a few years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. I actually expect him to make a big impact. Rooney has struggled in recent years, but so have United, I'd be more surprised if the move doesn't reinvigorate him.

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. It's not as if he wasn't given sufficient opportunities at United, he played almost every game until it was beyond a joke. His performances during LVG's 2nd season were an absolute disgrace and quite how he retained his place in the team is beyond comprehension. If Memphis goes on to be a world star then I'll wonder if perhaps we should have handled him differently, similarly Januzaj.

Rooney should have left years ago. If Everton get a good season or two out of him then good for them. Having said that, I don't like their chances.

Playing for a top 6 team is different to playing for Everton, though that would change if Everton forced their way into the top 4. The challenges are different, the opposition doesn't necessarily set up in the same fashion or play with the same intensity.
