Why were Arsenal trying to get rid of Mustafi anyway?

I mean he's nothing special but they're not really in the position to be chucking central defenders away.
Trying to trim squad, we have 35 players and need to get it down to 25. Unfortunately no one wants shit like Walcott and welbeck so anyone showing interest for our better players with a decent price is getting shipped.

Also Mustafi supposedly questioned Wenger last year after a few trashes and has told him of his desire to leave.

Looks like we are making up for lost CL revenue through player sells.

The next 2 years we'll probably transition from top 4 to top 6 club, spending even less and generating the lost cl revenue through the league revenue. Also good performances in EL should net us some additional income which I think will be much more than our usual last 16 CL money we get.

Either way, I'm hoping those that turn up at the Emirates do so armed and in voice.
Hopefully gazidis takes first hit, the lying bum mentioned we had 200 mil cash reserves when season finished only 2 months ago, which was around the time season ticket renewals were ongoing and now that it is all finished, we suddenly have no money.

The weird part is that at this stage, it wouldn't have been too hard to replace sanchez. Get Mahrez and Draxler and I think that's a decent job of replacing him done without being absolutely fleeced.

So Wenger renewed knowing it would have been the same old story. He is just addicted to Arsenal.

I have never felt sorry for a manager the way I did for Wenger after Sundays' game. He looked completely broken. Then I realised this stubborn fecker got a raise in the summer and stopped caring.

I remember when Wenger kicked at bottle at OT and got sent to the stands. That's probably the only time I've sympathized with him. The way he just calmly walked up behind the dugout, stood there, arms folded, then did a Jesus Christ Pose while asking the ref what the feck he more he wanted from him.

There's only one United!
Doesn't it make you think how the Ox played so badly against Liverpool last Sunday and then joins them 4 days later?

If I were an Arsenal supporter I'd be fuming at him.

Just thinking aloud, nothing else.

With the little kid that looked like Rafael/Fabio laughing at him as well . I must admit I do like Wenger and his big winter coats. I actually worry for the mans health the way he fidgets when his team is getting one of their usual dickings. He's getting on in age, just retire and enjoy the money. Like someone else said on here, he's addicted to Arsenal.

So everyone of those Arsenal players who played are moving to Liverpool?

Arsenal is the new Enron.
They're the socialist club with aristocrats & real estate developers in the boardroom, an economist in the dugout, and the highest-priced season tickets in Europe.

I do understand the need for fans to support the team through thick and thin, but the Arsenal board and and Wenger are taking the piss out of the fans who pay for the most expensive tickets in the league. They are about to become City's b!**h once again after putting up all that fuss earlier in the summer. They could have taken the money earlier and planned a way forward with replacement players.

Many of our fans are starting to support against us. You just can't support us anymore.

If I was an Arsenal supporter I'd be in Moyes-season dejection. Wondering what the hell the people running the club were doing.

The supporters defending Wenger are delusional - just as the United supporters who said all Moyes needed was more money.

Never understood why Wenger wouldn't give him chances. I felt he was very versatile and offered far more in attack than Welbeck. Scored a screamer against Bournemouth last year I remember.
Yep, Welbeck would have missed it . I also liked his link-up play. So, so good.

It was scandalously bad judgement from Wenger! He must have known something was brewing, not necessarily it'd be Liverpool, but he must have known bids were tabled.
Let alone seemingly only playing that system for Ox's benefit, with barely any of the other back 5 comfy, with Bellerin, left wing back!

Could you imagine if Moyesie was let loose now? Some of the insane bids we'd put thrashing around late on?

Didn't show it on Sunday. Was easily one of the laziest on the pitch.
He was only playing his first game, but even still I don't agree.
There was one instance he single handedly pressurised the whole Liverpool back line only to turn round and see no one else was.

Maybe but there were occasions he turned over possession and just walked back.
