Give the man a job! I liked him when he was caretaker manager for the last few months of the 2013-14 season.

It feels to me like there is something about his managerial capability or style which Club owners know/ believe; but not many supporters are privy to it

The Wales job would be good for him, as a Welshman. Picking an international team isn't rocket science usually, not too high expectations etc

Clearly club owners don't believe it or he'd of had a job by now.

I'd find it odd if Everton hired Giggs instead of even someone like Arteta. Giggs hasn't been part of a successful regime. He also hasn't coached in some time. He really should've agreed to stay on as an assistant to Jose and coach the u23's. All that experience helps, look at Zidane who worked behind the scenes until he was ready, Pep dominated with Barca B before they deemed him ready.

Spot on. Show me a job where your first position is CEO.

Straight choice question

David unsworth or Ryan giggs for Everton job?

Unsworth has emerged as one of the lead contenders for the Everton job with a similar experience to giggs, but I don't see near the same level of outcry. In my opinion this justifies those who feel giggs gets hammered for reasons other than his coaching experience or Is David unsworth an entitled prick too who feels he doesn't have to ply his trade in lower leagues?

Back to the question as it seems Everton are seriously considering unsworth , unsworth or giggs if those were the two choices?
Unsworth wilk likely to accept that he manages everton, with the aim of staying up this season, using the best possible short time ways.

Giggs is used to united, facilty and players etc. He'll probably mouth off in a month or so saying the everton are skint, it takes time, etc. He's too big of a profile. Just like keane with wolves.

I'm not saying it'll happen, but it could be a more safer choice to go with Unsworth in the eyes of the chairman. They probably think giggs won't stay for long and any bits of good results he'll be off on the next train

Surely this is a joke? Youth director in Vietnam? He should take the job as Dutch national team head coach. Not like he can do worse than Danny Blind and our whole country is clamoring for a foreigner.

[...]will be responsible for coaching players, training coaches and participating in building and developing PVF to become the leading youth football training centre in Vietnam, in line with the famous football academies across the world.
Training coaches?

That's a strange one.
Even stranger that Scholes would go unless it hardly involves being over there. Unlike Giggs he's still a family man and we all know how much of a home bird he is said to be.

Yeah does all sounds a bit weird if true, might be something business related in/with it for them.

I think Barry Mcguire wrote a song about the involvement of western amateurs in Vietnam

I suppose if the standard of football education is that low, what Giggs and Scholes have observed and been taught will be invaluable to their coaches.
Welp, not that I lambast Giggsy or Scholesy or their experience but you'd expect somebody perhaps more experienced as a coach to coach coaches.

Well well. Fair play if true, after all the criticism he's had for wanting to avoid the hard yards it sounds like he'll be getting down to some meat and spuds coaching over there.

The arrogant bastard. How dare he expect to get this job without having worked his way up from the bottom of the Vietnamese youth academies.

It may be just a short time kind of thing. It is a club and not even the national team which is crap anyway. I think they are the same level as Maldives. It sure is a funny one.
