The Pogba red card soured what would have been an absolutely fantastic result.
It's still an absolutely fantastic result. A shame about the red, sure, but big three points.

Lingard was brilliant. I never expected such a clinical performance from him. Overall... it was mixed. We should have had more control of the game at 2-0 up because the way we were playing, with a mortal goalkeepr they would have equalised. Great counter-attacking and a very fun game though.

Fecking hell, what a game. I'm exhausted after. Brilliant result. We finally see Mourinho's top 6 away game tactics work out as expected. Terrific bit of form for Lingard at the moment. Long may this continue. Young continues to impress too.

De Gea Motm for me. Some absolutely fantastic saves in there. Matic very good too.

The Pogba incident leaves a sour taste for me looking at this result. We should be talking about how well he did for Lingard's second, but instead this. For me it's harsh, as I don't think it's intentional at all. Missed the City game too. Very annoying.

DDG was fecking unbelievable today. When are Bailly and Jones back ffs?

Rojo is clearly still finding form and shaky.

Ashley Young looks like he is 22 not 32. Amazing performance and really smart/experienced leadership. Basically told Mourinho that the red was coming before the ref even showed it (after asking him).

Glorious victory! Bittersweet but glorious! At the moment I am absolutely shattered from watching that, it was in a way a very entertaining game because it had everything. We had fantastic attacking football, lightning fast counter attacks, backs against the wall with brilliant blocks, controversy and a red card to boot. I didn't think much about our tactics, we didn't do well enough to break their rhythm and let them onto us far too much which made for a very nervy affair. But we were just ruthless on the break and scored 3 excellent goals, the players gave everything against an Arsenal side that were relentless in their pursuit of the equaliser.

The red card? Well, I can't complain too much as it was a nasty foul, rather unlucky as opposed to reckless but I understand the decision. I thought that their centre back should have seen red when Lukaku was about to go through one on one on Cech, but then again they should have had a penalty or two at the end.

Unfortunately, the hardest game in the hardest period of the season just got that little bit tougher, so our league campaign could be over next week if City take advantage.

Fantastic result. De Gea was on steroids today. What a performance. To everyone worried about the City game without Pogba forget about it. We will have 11 players out there against 11 and we have a week to prepare the tactics. Let's worry about that one later. I want to enjoy this victory at the moment.

A base camp for the last, final assault
we should have won that game by a countrymile. Cricket score stuff.

typical mou bus and wait for a loose ball counter attack and hope for the best performance, but have to commend on united strikers for taking full advantages.

difference between two teams tonight was being clinical in front of goal. That said, you guys will get demolished vs city if you were played off the park by us when we got outplayed by city only a few weeks back.
 Great preview for AFTV.

Outplayed except first 12 minutes but we got the win which was important. Lingard playing himself into that second striker role at the minute, although methinks he wont be the permanent one there after the transfer window. Did you see Ozil and Martial having a laugh and a whisper at the end? Just need a miracle next week.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
I did not think we would get 9 out of Brighton (h), Watford (a) and Arsenal (a) so that's a bonus.

Have to review the Pogba thing as I think that will be a big issue for the derby.

Jose should not have shut up shop with an hour to go IMHO! I have heard him blame the players before now but they were his tactics obviously this time so the Post Match will be interesting.

Had he put them to the sword after the first two goals, instead of sitting back after the Arsenal change, he could have taken off Matic earlier (who I thought was lucky to stay on) and Pogba, to rest him.

Why wasn't Axel even on the bench today if we were really so short of mid-field bodies?

Would not call that lucky at all. We had a good game plan and Arsenal were very good in attack but, we defended well and at the back we had the best keeper in the world. Up front we were lethal. Only thing I wish we had done better was push up a bit more and not make it as easy for them to get near our goal.

Pogba - ugh. Am trying to find a way to convince myself it's a conspiracy but, that was dumb by him. Others are going to have to step up. For the City game we were going to always play on the counter but, hope after that we don't go into our shell and play like we should be able to.

Clinical but having problems keeping the ball. Pogba out is such a bummer... DDG give him a lifetime contact.

14 official saves for DDG... 15 if you include Lukaku's "shot". WOW. Best in the world undoubtedly; I don't even care

Bitter sweet.

We were fantastic today. Yes, we rode our luck, but we displayed some fantastic defending and always looked dangerous going forward. Thank God for De Gea, eh?

The bitter bit is that Pogba is out of the derby.

Great win, though.

Get the feck in. Defensively a mess. Shite for us that Pogba is gone though, very very tough to get anything vs City now.

On today, attack linked up brilliantly when they got on it, those 3 with pogba have a great understanding with each other and feel really well balanced. Tactics were a bit shambolic though. It happens every time we take a lead like that, we pull back and stop playing any type of attacking football and let the oppo in. And our defending when we park the bus is not good at all. Too many mistakes. Worked out in the end though.

We had McTominay and Herrera on the bench, how many more midfielders do you need?

I'm not sure Pogba's red card was deserved. I don't think he could avoid the leg of the other player and he cerrtainly didnt put any weight on the leg otherwise the guy would have been stretchered off. Also Bellerin went into the tackle in a manor asking for trouble, very clumsy.

I love it when we beat any of the southern teams, Fantistic

De Gea and Pogba are two indisputably top performers. If Pogba keeps the form he has been showing when he's been available this season, he will be as good as anyone in this league. We are very clinical compared to last year, we are creating roughly the same number of chances but finding the net much more often which is clearly changing games. Being able to control games from the midfield and not be pinned back to our final third against the better sides is still clearly a massive issue and is stopping us from being a truly top team.

Fantastic result. We got a chance to challenge for the title if we beat City. With Pogba out though the odds are stacked against us against Man City. We can do it though. We seem to be in better form than them and we always got De Gea that could save us if we struggle. Our attack encourage me a lot cause we know we can defend and well if we can get 1-2 goals we always have a chance with that plus De Gea.

The midfield could struggle big time now though. Mourinho need to solve it and find good balance.

Yes I will say this. We can win the champions league if we hit top form when the big games come. Need a bit of luck, but we got big players that can help us out big time. Particular if we can add one player in January.

Anyone whinging after this game should have some fresh air. We just beat 3-1 an in-form Arsenal at the ground they were winning everything up until now with all the pressure on us not to let City run away with it. That was stunning performance apart from the circus that created our CBs in the first half.
