It's weird though, because a few years ago I went along to an event where he was speaking about his latest book on Ronaldo and afterwards spoke at length about several issues at the time and took questions from the floor. Quinton Fortune was a guest too and I thought they both spoke really well and offered interesting and well thought out points, on all football related chat. I have no idea why he comes across so smug/cnut-ish on social media. I think you're right and he is heavily pro-Barcelona and Madrid therefore will always defend those clubs' POV's, and by extension Pep.
