Worth reminding you that Arsenal have finished above United for the last four seasons. Not saying this to wind anyone up BTW just worth noting that whilst he has undoubtedly been an excellent player for the club he has not really improved it. United have a better squad than Arsenal but him alone does not take you guys to the next level, just IMO.
Alexis has been a big reason why Arsenal have finished above United in the last 2 or 3 years though. I'm not saying he is Messi/Ronaldo level but we haven't a player who can score 20 plus goals from wide areas since Ronaldo left. Last season was his best season in terms of goalscoring and people on this forum have been crying out for a gamechanger like Sanchez in recent years.

Perhaps I'm being pessimistic, but I'm sticking to what I said originally. Until I see him in a United shirt from official United sources, I'm not getting overly excited.

It's just that we're no longer considered Manchester United, but rather a club in the same city as Pep's golden boys. Who cares that we've 70 years of history and are spending a bit to win titles, when Pep's holier than thou philosophy is being followed by a club that has never spent more than 600000000 a season.
70 years?

We won our first league title 110 years ago this season and our first FA Cup the following year.

What are the chances of Sanchez pulling an Adebayor in his celebration if he scored on Arsenal?

Think it's kind of high. He's the type of guy to do it
Highly doubt it.

Adebayor hated the Arsenal fans and they hated him back. They sang silly songs about his family washing elephants and they deserved that.

But Sanchez has been respectful. Don’t think Arsenal fans blame him for leaving. Why should he stay?

Where as at the time Adebayor left for purely money as Arsenal were better than City.

We’ve literally won three major trophies to City’s one over the last two seasons. Not sure I’m too interested in players who move to clubs simply to join the trophy parade, as opposed to wanting to do the hard yards to earn them.

Still think United being decisive and committed here makes a big difference. It was the same with Lukaku. Sanchez has already been let down by City’s dithering once. I’d be swayed by a club doing everything to sign me over one who wants me, but is more concerned by getting maximum value and is leaving me hanging.
He is going to United mainly for the money, there really isn't anything wrong with saying that just like most big of Man City's recent big signings have been for the same reason. Of course United can also offer other great things such as playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, playing in the Champions League, potentially winning trophies so the money is not the only reason but at this stage of his career the financial reward is the main thing on his mind. You should just be happy that United are in the position they can pay it.

Until we see that pic of him signing the paper with a United shirt on I don't want to get my hopes up.

What a signing he would be though. In today's market he is worth it completely. High wages - fair enough, but this is Sanchez we are talking about. The man is an individual matchwinner. I genuinely believe he will be a major impact signing, almost like RVP without as many goals.

How come the likes of Juve, Madrid or Bayern are not showing any interest?

I think I read that Bayern were close to an agreement with him but backed off because of his wage demands. That may have been in the summer.

Friends, don't get excited but we're going to win the Champions League.
Nah, we're going to win the FA Cup, Champions League, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World cup, Community shield cup and will win Premier League when we sign Sanchez that will be led to City collapsing this season to be ahead at them eventually. However, the media will still talk about people choosing us for money over City for trophies.

Juve and Bayern won’t offer him the wages.

Real Madrid wanna refreshen their attack with younger talent as the BBC is getting old. Also not sure Perez will sign a Barca reject.

I agree to an extent, and especially with the final part of the sentence. But Arsenal were finishing in the top four long before Sanchez came to the club (granted Spurs are a lot stronger now) so in that aspect he didn't quite have the impact on the team that was expected although indivdually he went up a few levels. I think he's a brilliant player and mostly enjoyed watching him for the last few seasons. He's certainly one of the best players we've had since being at the Emirates. For the price tag it's certainly worth the purchase for sure.

Bayern don't want to pay those wages, juve can't afford to, and we've decided it's funnier to shoot our dicks off

I hope this doesnt in any way or shape mean Martial plays from the bench. He's as much as a game changer as Sanchez, and feel they will have an incredible linkup if given so
