Miki +15m to 25m euros seems steep to me.

Hopefully its the lower end of that scale.

Miki must be worth at least 25m euros in this market.

Basically there or Dortmund. Probably better money at Arsenal but I don’t see many other decent teams looking at him.
You never know what happens in summer. Arsenal are a touch chaotic now with Walcott, Sanchez, Ozil, possibly Giroud all set to leave soon.
He would want to go to a more calmer team.

But what if he doesn't want to go to Arsenal?

Plus the club signed a contract, and he's entitled to hold them to it.
He doesn't have a future here and there are no suitors for him elsewhere. If he doesn't go to Arsenal now he will go to a club like Seville or Everton next year.

or, he would want to work his way into the team, given he's a professional footballer with ambition?
Can’t see that happening, with Sanchez ahead of him if he comes and even if not he’s clearly out of favour with Mou and thats not likely to change.

Some people are way too harsh on Mkhi. You just can't force him to go to Arsenal, he has a choice.
This deal doesn't depend on Mkhi, if he wants to stay, we will just pay what is necessary to Arsenal.
I think it then becomes dependent on Malcolm.

Problem is his opportunities would be extremely limited, he'd be well down the pecking order - pretty much at the bottom of the pile as it is.

What if everything breaks down and Sanchez ends up signing new contract with Arsenal :houllier:

I don't like how Miki is being branded as a villain in the current narrative.

Feeling positive about the deal, though.

This is nearing an end, surely the only question is how the deal is structured..

I expect a headline along the lines of 'Taking the Mkhi - United's £120m Sanchez deal' in the Mirror tomorrow. Can't wait for the bitterness

If Mkhi stays and screws the deal the hostility he'll get will be unpleasant.
If Mkhi refuses to move, then I hope we wont play him again and he trains with the youth team the rest of the season.
Why?

It's not on him to see that this transfer goes through, he might simply not want to move to Arsenal, and when we signed a contract we made the same commitment he did.

Are we not better than that?

I personally would hold a huge grudge against Mhkitaryan if he does anything but sign for Arsenal. Have pride in yourself and go somewhere where you will play and try to prove us wrong.

Mickhi shouldn't be abused cause he's honoring his contract and doesn't want to move to a club he doesn't want to go to.

Nonsense, Mkhi doesn't have to move to a club he doesn't fancy just to help us sign his replacement.
He doesn’t have to be I think the boss has made it clear to him privatley, he’s not in his future plan I.e. he has to go.

I don't really think there's much chance of us pulling out of signing Alexis Sanchez because Mkhitaryan wouldn't go, or that Arsenal would similarly resign themselves to him leaving on a free if Micky doesn't join. That would make no sense.

Sky now saying it's going to be a straight swap and no cash involved. What a deal that would be.
I don't think Sky know anything to be honest, unless it's Di Marzio's lot.

Now the deal looks sensible. Didn't want mkhi to go for nothing.
Tweet is saying we are paying money on top of Mkhitaryan to get Sanchez. This is what has always been the narrative of this deal. So I'am a bit confused about your statement.
