Cheers for the suggestions chaos, think we are going to give peaky blinders another go, we tried it briefly for about 3 episodes ages ago but didn't click.

After doubting sons of anarchy for so long and then taking a chance and loving it I think peaky blinders deserves another shot.

I got recommended "End of the fecking world" on Netflix by several people but really don't see the fuzz about it three episodes in.

I liked it for its general feckedupness and the weird main characters (who are responsible for approximately 90% of the feckedupness initially, but are totally out-fecked-up later).

Just started Goliath on Prime last night. Fantastic so far. The end of episode 2 though.

Edit: also started Mind Hunter. Wife and daughter gave up on first episode. I'm going to continue but if it doesn't get better soon I'm fecking out.

If you loved Zodiac you'll like Mindhunter. I thought it was great.

Just watched the Amanda Knox Netflix documentary and all I kept thinking was how this was just a lite version of Making A Murderer, fecking hell.

I could've told you the conclusion shown at the end from the Supreme Court halfway through - the sheer ineptitude and ignorance of the police, investigators and prosecutor are out of this world with regard to questioning, handling (DNA-)evidence and empathy towards different people in particular situations. It's hard to believe a general prosecutor can still have such tunnel vision in these times (ten years ago but still). It's getting harder to keep faith in a correct prosecution and fair trial if you watch shit like this.

The Daily Mail journalist was being a fecking asshole throughout as well but his last part really capped it off - "It's not as if I could say 'Hey, hold on a minute, I just want to double check that myself', could I?" What the feck man?! Probably the first thing they teach you in journalism, I'd hope.

Try 'The Alienist', quite a gruesome serial killer series set in 1896 New York.

I saw 2 episodes and am quite impressed with the screenplay. It's rather disturbing at times.

On episode 5 of Everything sucks. This show keeps getting better with each episode. People raved about End of the F****** world but this is so much better than that.

I have some free time now, so I'm keen to go through either Westworld or Black Mirror. Help me choose.

Hmmm I watched it and thought it was pretty average. That kid was super annoying and it becomes super cheesy and predictable. It’s certainly worth a watch if nothing else is on but I think EOTFW was better in my opinion.

I've been watching the Korean TV series 'Stranger' and it's well worth checking out. Anyone seen it? I'm hooked.

The chemistry between the quirky male and female leads makes it a compelling watch. But the complexity of the story and the list of foreign names to remember gets a bit much so I'm not finding it not so easy to binge. Reminds me a bit of 'Dark' in that respect, but it also reminds me of the scandi crime dramas in structure, which ends up making it feel quite un-korean.

I can't watch one episode without craving kimchi soup though because they constantly seem to be eating it. I've eaten Korean food three times in the last week!

Thanks for this post. You just gave me my next show to watch!
I've seen some amazing Korean historical drama (Six Flying Dragons, Tree with Deep Roots) and the I like the premise of this show so I am going to check this out today

It's a great show. Every show has a dip and season 4 was it's low point, but I binged season 5 in 2 days and I never do that.
Just wanted to update you I got to season 5 finally and binged it as well. Definitely the best season of the show and a superb season of drama. Almost even a little too heavy for what I was expecting yes?
Thanks for the recommendation. The fifth season was worth it. I never warmed to the Ray Donovan character though. Easily my least favorite character in the whole series. I like his brothers and father a lot more haha.

I just finished The Deuce. I really enjoyed it. Lots of fun and shagging. Plenty of tits.
The problem was where I watch it. The only time I get free for TV shows is on my train journey to and from Okayama City every day. I am always surrounded by school girls (2 big schools on my train line) so occasionally I had to hide the screen.

Very different shows apart from the fact teenagers are the main parts. EOTFW is more a nihilist short tale whereas Everything sucks is a proper coming of age cliché story - and so far it works pretty well for me (I'm about 5 or 6 episodes in I think). It's a very charming show I feel.

Just finished the first season of ALL OR NOTHING on Prime. If you're an NFL fan, it's a great watch.

Just started watching The Americans and it’s pretty slow as feck so far...does it pick up...?
I'm at number 9 or 10 of season 1, I like it. But...

It's gotten a bit silly at times.

First 2-3 eps are a bit scene-setting, absolutely making sure you get the back story, yes.

I liked 'Hell on Wheels' a lot & would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it.

And 'The Looming Tower' has got off to a great start too.

Is Justified any good? Considering watching that after I finish Generation Kill (which is great).
