Extra time and a spurs win has surely got to be the best result for us hasn’t it? Make them feckers run and run and Traveller themselves out. Hopefully the scouse get Shakhtar, home first, in another game with extra time and penalties in the second leg.

Trends will be trends
Memes write themselves

It's quite incredible when you think about it, to do what they're doing on their budget. They should be everyone's 2nd team yet most opposition fans revel in their misery. Mainly due to their obnoxious fanbase.

Spurs look a bit spent to be honest. I know everyone loves the pressing game but it does take a toil on their players especially after 70 minutes or so.

It's like our QF clash with Juve a few years back, where Müller scored the 2-2 with a header in added time and we then won it 4-2 in extra time. I aged years during that match :D

Think more to do with the mental strength. They need to believe that they are not bottlers

Why are Spurs crossing so much now. Chiellini will deal with those all day long

City are losing 1-2 without de bruyne. They're playing almost full strength (Jesus for Aguero).

Chiellini has completely turned his game around. Was horrible for the first 20-30 minutes but now found his Sayan mode. A bit like Smalling against Palace how he started off being reactive and then took charge of the game.

Seriously, anyone saying they'd rather Pochettino to Mourinho in a game like this doesn't know their football. It's hipster bullcrap.
I don’t know, Monsieur Butter (if that IS your real name!). :)

As a neutral on this one I totally take your point on Mourinho’s mastery of this type of two-legged European tie. I would be intrigued however, to see what a manager like Pochettino would get out of players like PP, Rashford and Martial, even Herrera maybe.

I do think people go a bit overboard on Poch’ but he’s a very good young manager. If he continues on this path, and adds a trophy or two I could see him at United at some stage. A few ‘if’s’ and ‘but’s’ in there though.

They've been caught using blood-spinning technique in the past, their physical levels won't drop much despite their intense pressing game.

Son is quality. He doesn't have weaker foot which gives him so much advantage, wish more players improve their weaker foot, especially attackers.

You joking, right? Juve needs to score one more for win. You know away goal counts for two! Someone once explained here..
I think you misunderstood what I wrote.

No, that's the League Cup and I think FA Cup replays.

0-0 or 1-1 would have seen Spurs through. 2-2 is extra time and penalties if needed. 3-3 and above will see Juve through.
This isn't the league cup. Away goals count at any stage.
Fair enough, my bad.

Love how Juventus celebrate defending.
As it should, never understood the hate defending as part of game gets, like its cancer of football. Always found it weird when people see good/great defending as easy, hell proper working bus parking isnt easy.

But they have been 2nd best for most of the game, no? They have played like the older team, heavier legged on in general.

They may win but they have been 2nd best till now
They have been in both the legs, but doesn’t count for much when you concede soft easy goals like they have both in the first leg and now. It’s more a lesson in naivety. An experienced team who are used to winning shouldn’t blow a match that you dominated.
On the other hand Juve with their dismal finals record are exactly what a big European team is like, grinding wins while not exactly dominating.

Poch is a superb young manager I agree. But too many Utd fans on here quickly write off our Jose who's won it all and are quick to praise a guy who hasn't won jack all.
