I'm starting to think a proper right winger is now by far the most important signing of the Summer.
That and at least one top full back (ideally two) and imo we'll challenge next season. Anything less and we'll still lack enough attacking power to vie with the top teams.

Someone able to play like Januzaj did against Atletico Madrid today.
Just watched his highlights on that match, very good from him. Still think he can make it at the top level but it's too early, he needs another 2-3 seasons at a club like Sociedad.

Malcom looks a good option based on this.

I'm okay with Gareth Bale if we can get a left-footed right winger under 23 years old to rotate with Bale. Bale on form, he's world class. A young player could learn from Bale. Imagine Sanchez, Bale, Pogba and other midfielders the like of Kross or Verratti, etc on form, that would be devastating.
Then imagine our in form full-backs Messi and Neymar, with Mbappe helping Salah in the middle of defense - Devastating.

Malcom was the guy i want for our right wing as he's left-footed and one of the most exciting prospects in world football. Willian is 30 in 3 months time and i think we could have signed a very similar player in Lucas in January for a cheaper price and 4 years younger too.

1. Eriksen
2. Dybala
3. Pulisic

It'll be fecking Bale or Willian.
If Bale is 75% as good as he was when he left he Premiership then we automatically have the best player in the league in one of our weakest positions. I’m for Mahrez but if we got Bale I think I’d still do a little celebration dance as he is a monster of a player.

Bale is more like 25% as good as when he left the Premiership. This season is almost over and he's managed to play a full 90 minute match just seven times, in all competitions. That's absurdly bad considering how much Madrid are paying him.

I don't think we are going for a genuine RW. We have played a narrow formation for multiple months and have seen some really good performances. We play a midfield 4 with a no.10 and striker up top.

I think we will get an inverted RW, and a RB that will provide the width that Valencia can't. I think our RW will be an upgrade on Mata/Lingard.

Dybala, Griezmann, Mahrez, Bale

All left footed forwards that operate in the right half space. A grey area between a no.10 and RW.

Why don't we just play Alexis on the right and be done with it? Fecking annoying, that Martial, Lukaku and Sanchez are out three best attackers and we can't/won't fit them into a starting line up.

Its something even I've wondered
Did Mourinho buy Sanchez to play him as a LW? Does that mean Mourinho doesn't rare Martial?
Ideally we should play Martial on the left and Sanchez on the right with both having a free roaming role

Bale is about 20% of what he was at Spurs in that last season and basically a walking injury, he'd be on 300K a week at nearly 30 with his key assets greatly diminished and would likely be be fit for a third of our games if lucky.

Just watching a rerun of Bordeaux vs Psg and Malcom looks like a proper talent to me.

He's done some good work from the right as well, like the goal against Spurs and the bit of play leading up to Pogba's first against City. I figured it would work well, like a lot of people on here, but Mou doesn't seem to be a fan of it.

Malcom or Douglas Costa would be solid left footed winger options. A risky, but potentially high reward option would be Adama Traore. In the past, the major problem with Traore was his lack of end product, but in the last few months, he's really stepped up a level or two.

Willian seems the obvious fit but can't see Chelsea helping us again

75% of Bale would be better than Salah? That's a very bold statement!

Shaqiri, cheap and has PL experience.
Would open up budget for signing two quality fullbacks.

Bale for me. For the games in which he's fit he'd be the best player in the league and would add a massive new dimension to Mourinho's counter attack. Certainly feels like his time at Madrid is coming to an end.

My signings for the Summer would be Bale + Toby + 2 younger players like Sessegnon to keep the nice age balance we now have in the squad.

We have too many injury prone players here already. Hope we don't go for Bale. Sessegnon would be a very good addition and Toby or Maguire for CB. They both have Premier League experience and could fit in quicker.

They are pretty much all in defence though to be fair. Mata, Martial, Rashford, Lukaku, Sanchez, Lingard are barely ever injured, meaning that for the right deal, we could accommodate Bale.

I just don't see another "gettable" player right now that could take us to the level a fit Bale could.

I would personally stay clear of Bale, just for the cost vs reward. I’m assuming Real are kicking themselves based on what they pay him and get out of him.

Would rather push Alexis to RW and buy a young player to deputize him, like Malcom.

Then spend money on other positions.

Bailey or Kluivert.
Both seen as not good enough by the guys on here who are from the countries and watched the league regularly.

Not really any good RW's out there.

IMO we should buy the left footed Nabil Fekir, stick him and Alexis behind Lukaku and have them cut in from both flanks. Width to be provided by the new FB's.
