Actually thought that subs were a bad idea. We had some momentum going no matter how bad Rashford was in the first half. If anyone should have gone off it should have been Sanchez. Lukaku offered nothing after I thought we needed a focal point.

When does the game start? Seems like all of our players forgot we actually had a final on today, disgraceful effort by all the players. Provided feck all for 90 minutes and were dominated by a Chelsea team that hardly crossed the halfway line, be fecking ashamed you pieces of shit

Red Card for Casemiro!
Hazard showed up. Sanchez did not.

That's my cue for a hiatus till the World Cup begins. Can't even bear to watch the football Liverpool will play in the CL final.

We did really well in the second half. That first half was awful, encapsulated by Jones's brainfarts. But we pegged them.back for the majority of the second half, and deserved a goal.

Ah well. That's football, innit?

This is the end for this current generation of players. Smalling, Jones, Valencia, Young. Rashford, Lingard, Herrera, Sanchez all not up to standard. This is as far as this team will go.
But apparently we've made progress ... It's a season to forget. Our weaknesses well and truly exposed. Both players and manager. We are a coward team. Our approach to games and our style of football is a disgrace. Spurs would've played this Chelsea team off the park if they'd gone through I'm sure.

Obertans #1 fan.
Also absolutely definitely I’m being proven right by Mourinho. No one has had their reputation improved by him. He has won on average a poor trophy every year.

Would anyone swap our last three years with Wengers? You’d have to think about it and that it mad.

For once it's not going to be a long summer. Can't say I'm gonna miss this. Started to switch channels and semi watch with 10 minutes left.

Anyone who is worried about rashford and martial leaving are fecking deluded

I love rashford but not good enough the second half of this season stopped doing all the things he did when he broke through

Martial awful lack of effort

Inconsistent end product from both
Rashford is shit, Martial is shit, Sanchez is shit... it seems like all attacking players with flair turn to shit at Manchester United. At this point it's hard to blame the individuals.

Mourinho has taken us as far as he can. We haven't improved even 1% over the course of this season. In fact since Christmas we have regressed.

There really is so much to despise about this United team.

Maybe now you can all stop deluding yourselves into thinking we have and i quote 'One of the best defences in the league'.

We don't, we have the best goalkeeper in the world and he makes our average defenders look better than they are.

They win the cup and will sack their manager.. we’ll keep this Cnut in charge and fall even further back next season.

Sell Jones tomorrow. Sell Valencia. Send Rashford on loan.

Jones is a disaster. Valencia is so predictable and easy to make him ineffective. Rashford has been atrocious for months now. Doesn’t deserve to be starting for United at this moment.

Lingard shouldn’t ever start games of this magnitude. No where newr United level even though he had a good patch of form a months back. 1 month of good form doesn’t warrant a starting place for United.

That team today was awful.

Individual players are pointless if the manager is failing to motivate them to play as a team.
If our players need a manager to motivate themselves for a fecking cup final then you can bin all of those fecks for my liking.

Jones had a mare, but today can't be blamed solely on him. When we have a team with Pogba and Sanchez in it that still can't create a single chance, not only do their mentalities have to be questioned, so does the managers.

From the kick off until the final minute was not good enough today in any respect of the word. As usual Matic did himself proud, and Young worked his socks off for the millionth time this season, but we either need half of a new XI, or a new manager.

The most apparent thing about that final was that Spurs would have beaten that Chelsea side hands down.

We played with fear and a lack of flair. Sadly I envisage more of the same next season

Chelsea got the luck. you need it in finals. Second half was decent by us. Just knew Chelsea would win though when Pogba did not even get that free header on target. 1-1 would have been a fairer result given the chances we had. On another day Sanchez would not have been offside for his disallowed goal.

Rashford looked poor in the first half. got better in the second half.

Still think that if we were to play this match ten times in webley against chelsea, we would win the majority of times. Chelsea got the luck today and you need luck in tight matches where teams are evenly balanced.

Mourinho will be fuming for their penalty though. He has told the players about forty times to watch Hazard. Ah well, good performance in the second, bring on next season.

I hope that today is end of:
1) phil jones in united shirt
2) all those stories based on stats how good he is, top english defender, etc...
He and i will openly say it, only he is quilty for this loss. We are better team than chelsea and only stupid thing like this can win them game against us. How many games, how many points and now how many titles this guy costed us? Enough is enough. His great performances against wba or watford at old ttafford can't hide the fact that he always has mistake in big games. He must go.

Congratulations to Chelsea. They defended well and capitalized on that mistake from Jones.

Man Utd had more from the game, but it was very difficult to create clear chances against the low block from Chelsea. There were a few good chances, but in such a tight game you have to be really clinical.

Many people will be very happy now to tear into the players, but I think they can keep your heads up today. The tried everything and did well enough, but one mistake basically decided the game. Chelsea is a good side, too, when they turn up and can play their game.

1 more Season of this but with different personnel

Rashford should be sold and his wages offered to Martial if that persuades him to stay.

Yeah if every single one of your attacking players is playing badly including the one that is paid more than any other player in the country you kind of have to wonder if there is something deeper that is the problem.

It's Jose who picked him in the starting lineup over the other defenders we have to be honest.
Yep. Jose's not off the hook by any means. But you can't plan for your players to make such fecking basic errors.

Strange thing is I thought that was one of our best games in the sense of going forward, actually playing and not sitting back. i felt we deserved a goal in that game. I would have taken a typical drab play but Mourinho win.

Rashford was poor. Sanchez was very average. Jones' error proved too costly. Hazard showed his class. Pogba was really good.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
That's on Jose far more than individual players … if any other manager let that lot lose they'd wreak havoc

Chelsea's tactics were "if youve got a chance FFS do not try to score ≥ move away from goal and go down.

Glad Conte and Hazard will both be away from Chelsea next season … hopefully Hazard will be with Jose and Fellaini at PSG

Deserved.

We need a new manager.
What ever anybody thinks about Mourinho he wasn't the one giving the ball away, he wasn't the one making crap crosses, he wasn't the one doing the poor defending. Once again our players let him and us down; why didn't they play the first half like the second? The players need to take responsibility on the pitch.

Somewhere they can't find me.
I feel nothing unsurprisingly. Not pissed. Not sad. Just can't be arsed to invest emotionally into a team that cares so less and a manager waiting to deflect blame onto others.

Smalling, Jones and Bailly have a mistake in them & will never be good enough.

Add Valencia and Young to that and is it a surprise we soo shit.

Mourinho is going into his third season and he hasn't sorted the defence out is jist not good enough.

Disappointed and it’s gonna sting for a while but the better team won on the day.

A decent of try of it in the second half but not enough and the final balls were as bad as I’ve seen so it was all a waste of effort.

Without doubt, one of the big talking points will be Jones going to a World Cup while Smalling stays at home. Whoops, Southgate.
