The only time we looked half threatening was after he came on. Our only player that can actually go past a man.
To be fair, Lingard created our best chance with the through ball to Rashford.José will get the blame but his second half tactics has given our attackers ample opportunity to break Chelsea down.
Nobody supplies our strikers. Not Martial, Rashford or Lingard.
Hope he leaves and proves Mourinho wrong. Really has gotten to that point for me.
Don't say that. Otherwise some geniuses will label you as Martial FC.Goodbye Tony M, it will be sad to see you become a world class player for another team...
This is nonsense. It is a valid argument for some players like Valencia, Smalling, Lingard etc. but definitely not for Martial. If anything he is one of the rare intelligent players we've got along with Mata, Sanchez etc.If he had a brain he would be dangerous!.
I've said it for awhile he doesn't have the football intelligence, you can get away with one braindead player but to have Rashford, Jones, Lingard, Smalling, Valencia to name a few is a recipe for failiure.
Get a grip...Martial and intelligence do not go together!Don't say that. Otherwise some geniuses will label you as Martial FC.

Because Jose expects his players to think on there feet and LVG is a lot more automated. How can Van Gaal make good use of Martial and Mourinho not?
Or because LVG trusted and gave Martial confidence, also maybe because Jose hasn't been able to get much out of most of our attacking players.Because Jose expects his players to think on there feet and LVG is a lot more automated.
Did he? I didn't see anything special from him in all honesty. If Mourinho sells him or tries at least he should get the sack. Feck him, today Martial showed he shouldn't be on the bench while brainless wankers like Rashford and Sanchez start, so I'd rather Jose feck off than lose this guy.
Mourinho has scored more goals than LVG and we have created far more. If what we saw today and against Brighton is what he sees in training, I can see why he doesn't start because clearly he has a serious lack of football intelligence and a piss poor attitude.Or because LVG trusted and gave Martial confidence, also maybe because Jose hasn't been able to get much out of most of our attacking players.
The only player that made Chelsea to take a step back and held the ball with some confidence while attacking and we looked better when he came on. Rashford and Sanchez were pathetic so my standards might be low to be honest.Did he? I didn't see anything special from him in all honesty.
Chelsea started the game in defensive mode - so I'm assuming you mean it would have been useless to start him.Its useless to put him on when chelsea already in defensive mode.
LVG used him the same way he did with Rashford. He sets them up to run onto the ball and hit opponents on the counter. Jose seems to favour a passing game with a slow build up, waiting for opponent to make mistakes. Unfortunately Martial/Rashers usually ends up making the first mistake. How can Van Gaal make good use of Martial and Mourinho not?
Yet we didn't make top 4.Or because LVG trusted and gave Martial confidence, also maybe because Jose hasn't been able to get much out of most of our attacking players.
Name me an attacking player that is currently flourishing under mourinho’s management and you may have a point.Mourinho has scored more goals than LVG and we have created far more. If what we saw today and against Brighton is what he sees in training, I can see why he doesn't start because clearly he has a serious lack of football intelligence and a piss poor attitude.
We also didn't under Jose last season, we came 6th, that is after spending shit loads on the 4 specialists Pogba, Bailly Mhiki and IbraYet we didn't make top 4.
Thats the problem .The only time we looked half threatening was after he came on. Our only player that can actually go past a man.
That's fair, can't say he did any worse than those two today. The only player that made Chelsea to take a step back and held the ball with some confidence while attacking and we looked better when he came on. Rashford and Sanchez were pathetic so my standards might be low to be honest.
I was sick seeing Van Gaal face and his football by the end of his time here, but his managing of Martial and Rashford was good. How can Van Gaal make good use of Martial and Mourinho not?
The better question is name one player that both LvG and Mourinho had that is playing better under Jose? Martial, Rashford and Mata got worse and the rest kept their level. How can Van Gaal make good use of Martial and Mourinho not?
The only point of making top 4 is to qualify for the Champions League, which we did last season, so 6th is kind of irrelevant in that context. Still an unacceptable league position. We also didn't under Jose last season, we came 6th, that is after spending shit loads on the 4 specialists Pogba, Bailly Mhiki and Ibra
I don’t know where you get this. He looks clever when a defender is high up with space in behind. He is brilliant using that situation. When the defense is set and deep, he quickly runs out of ideas when wide. He’s good at one twos and interplay more centrally, but he doesn’t look too versatile or clever otherwise. This is nonsense. It is a valid argument for some players like Valencia, Smalling, Lingard etc. but definitely not for Martial. If anything he is one of the rare intelligent players we've got along with Mata, Sanchez etc.
