Would love Boetang and Alderwierald. That would be the best scenario.

I think Maguire and Alderweireld would be better.

Assuming we shipped out two of our existing centre backs.

Would cost a fortune though.

I can't believe that we (seemingly) aren't in for any LB or RW. Does the board (or Mourinho, whoever makes those decisions) actually feel comfortable going into another season with Young/Darmian and Mata/Lingard?

Boateng would be a great signing, if he wasn’t made of glass like the rest of our defenders.

Should just pay the money for Alderweireld at this point.

Bayern always sell rotten goods, stay the feck away from any player they are desperate to get rid of.

We've wasted enough years paying Hargreaves wages and then Schweinsteiger's.

Boateng is too injury prone mate.
19 apps last season isn't terrible - and he'd be way cheaper than Maguire. Bringing Alderwierald and him would be a bonus tbh.

Alderwierald and Bailey defence with Boetang managed on the side would be a great shout.

There is definitely some truth to this. Furthermore, I’d always be wary of any top talent being ‘allowed’ to leave Germany. If Bayern are selling, like you said, there’s something awry and probably should be avoided; if another German club are selling, and Bayern aren’t interested, I’d avoid them as well as they don’t tend to let the most talented players leave Germany.

Wasn't Boateng supposed to be going to PSG? This could just be tactic from Bayern to get them to pay up.

Going to get burned from Bayern again. They don't sell good players important to their team.
Bayern are happy to sell him judging by reports. He's only played 15-20 games per season (over the last few seasons) for them due to injury and they have Pavard lined up.

Why don't we go for Pavard? He can play right back as well. Solves two problems. Or are all German clubs cucs and will only sell to Bayern.

Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws claims Manchester United have been interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld since last winter.

his employer has an option of extending it by one more year and he doesn’t want to let that happen.

The two clubs are yet to reach a final agreement and Alderweireld’s future is in the hands of his chairman Daniel Levy and Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

Time to ban MD?
They claim to have spoken to Raiola in England about Pogba but Zlatans Instagram shows the agent to be in Miami.
As a media outlet you just can't come back from that surely?

Can't we just buy Bernat from Bayern? He looks a competent left back and won't be able to play over Alaba. He could be first choice here.

I second this, instead of getting tricked into buying an over the hill injury prone defender, we should be looking at this guy but something tells me we ain't and he will end up at Bayern next summer if not late in this window

Yeah, we'll sell our most important midfielder with 3 days to go in the transfer window. And they have just signed 2 CM's (Vidal and Arthur) while still having Rakitic, Busquets, Coutinho, Denis Suarez and others. Absolute bollocks.
