Sometimes for the sake of the club it is better for a certain player to go no matter how much talented he is. I feel that he is too much extra baggage for the club. To be honest Jose if he gets rid of him could change the whole dynamics of the team and in fact with another player could be much better too.

He doesn't have a long future here. It's very obvious I can't understand how anyone still thinks otherwise.

Both and Mourinho will probably not be here next season.

As I've said before, he's a trophy wife that you're miserable with.

Hes done pretty much nothing at the club so far, can be a very good footballer but shows it so inconsistently, and there is constant problems behind the scene. Left us once, came back for the headlines, now constant shit and probably wants to leave again. He really isnt worth the hassle. Get rid of both him and Mourinho (and Woodward while we're at it) and turn our shambles of a club back into a football club and not a circus.

He has to go. Not because of his abilitys but because of the drama surrounds him. It will never be quit regarding Pogba, the drama will continue.

He's also the complete opposite of a player you should build the team around. For that, you need to be conssitently brilliant in whatever your supposed A-Game is. Pogba turns in one good/great showing every 5-6 games.....you cannot build a team around that and expect big things.

Why would we sell him because we don't like his agent?
What is wrong with you people!

I think if we're going to line up three midfielders that are not defensive minded, we need to press high and play heavy possession/attacking football.

As we saw many times, including when Barcelona lost badly in the Champions League, when that kind of midfielder need to really defend long periods of the games or sit deep, they can be exposed.

It doesn't matter if United sign Modric or Thiago Alcantara if the playing style will not fit the players.

If it wasn't for this poxy window ending because of that stupid, stupid vote last year, I'd love to see him gone. Imagine getting £150m for Pogba. We'd be laughing. Plus he'd struggle at Barcelona. Way too lax, slows the game down to a snails pace.

the whole situation is pretty depressing. I might be old-fashioned but giving Pogba the captains armband in the first games really didn't sit well with me. I think the armband should be a privilege for a great servant of the club, not a sad attempt by the manager to paper over some cracks in his relationship with a player. Mourinho's whole sucking up to Pogba was pretty pathetic IMO. The armband might just be symbolic, but giving it to him over a model pro like De Gea feels almost insulting. The "there's things I can't tell you or I'll get fined" comment after the first game as captain also pissed me off, and his agent causing trouble behind the scenes doesn't help. I really don't care that he apparently was the head cheerleader of a talent-ladden French squad, he's done zip at United so far.

I'm so tired of the cheap Mexican soap opera these days. Mourinho, Pogba, Raiola ... tiresome.

If our beloved club has to rely on Pogba/Lingard to bring leadership and Manchester United values to the team, than the future is bleak.

Agree. Some players you can tell would be angry about losing 5 a side in training, don't see it in many of our players.

I guess when a team performs badly, the superstar in the team gets the blame. Because Pogba is the reason all our players looked like amateurs against the almighty Brighton.
Yes lets bin him and use the money to bring in other players. In a few months, those players will obviously blend in with the rest of the team and the revolution of shite continues of course.
When will people realise the players are not the problem? All these players were very good players when we got them; Pogba was one of the best midfielders in the world when we got him too. But no, lets bin the very good players we have and bring in more players to turn to shite.
Fecking hell, we'd bring in Messi, make him look like Djemba Djemba and everyone will be questioning his mentality and clamouring for him to be sold.
A footballer that have even half a brain, shouldn't want to play for this team these days.

Anyone suggesting we build a team around this guy, hasn't a clue about football...

Two....Two good games at a World Cup and all of a sudden, he's one of the best and he had an amazing World Cup...

Sooner Elon Musk builds some transport to get the feck out of here, the better

i hate Pogba just for making me agree with Danny Mills..
Fergie wouldn't tolerate it, but that's because Pogba's overall 7/10 showing (at best) since he's been at the club, wouldn't justify the drama. If Pogba's contribution was maybe up to peak Ronaldo levels, Fergie would find a way to work around it.

Opened this thread and the first posts I saw were post Leicester game — "World Class", "Our captain" etc. I wish that the opinion here wouldn't change completely after one game, be it a good or a bad one, and included the evaluation of his whole season performance.

I love watching Pogba play when he is at his best, I also have always been very fond of Jose. That said I just find myself feeling like I don't particularly care about their little spats. Despite their time here I don't really feel like either are ingrained in Man Utd, they have both been extremely inconsistent in their respective jobs and are both probably more concerned with their own image than the long term success of the club. I truly think Pogba is the most naturally gifted central midfielder playing the game today, he has every tool and skill you could ask for but he is approaching the age where potential HAS to translate to consistent performances.

It seems to me like our club has been hijacked by these two and their 'super' agents and the whole thing is so tiresome that I am at the point that I would not mind seeing both of them out. Man Utd are bigger than them, their agents and their lovers tiff and both better players and managers have left on multiple occasions.

It feels like being a shop manager having two customers argue like children on the shop floor "take it outside".

Exactly.
Pogba, his agent and fans acting as if it’s the first time Jose has had to work on CM and their development. Forget how he turned Lampard, Essien, etc into world class, took Modric, Sneijder, to another level, etc.

That was a decade ago except Modric who was the worst player in la liga with Mourinho ;)

Btw Essien was WC for Lyon.

You wish for too much. You are only as good as your last game on these performance threads.

Were the people slagging him off the same as those who were previously praising him?

If so, then they’re fickle idiots. If not, then it’s a daft comment. Pogba fanboys will stay away after a poor performance; haters will stay away after a good one.

Was it not Ancellotti who massively improved Modric? Mourinho had him playing as a number 10 and his first season was rather bad iirc

I've never seen a Jose team as clueless as this one. He isn't improving anyone at United. Perhaps when Jose figures out a functioning game plan we can then compare and contrast individual players from united and Jose's past teams.

Jose hasn't turned a single United player "into world class" ever since he's been here, including his own signings. A few (Young, Lingard) have shown slight to moderate improvement, others are performing at relatively the same level as they were prior to his arrival, while most are performing below expectations. We then have to suffer the ignominy of watching our star midfielder, whose lack of consistency at United is apparently 100% his own fault, go on to win plaudit after plaudit in a World Cup winning campaign under a manager with a similar ethos.

Feck him off to Barca in Jan. We're not going to finish top 4 so won't matter.

Starting to hate him already. Complete prima donna.

For someone who people want to be the figurehead of our team he's incredibly ineffective and sloppy in the middle of the park all too often. Needs to rediscover his WC form.

Actually would have taken Mina and Gomez for him when Barca offered them. That's the state of me now.

He is young but the inconsistency in his form is just nuts. First half we were great, I thought he was set for a great game. Second half, never left the changing room
