I would be devastated if we got Allegri.
I like this bit;Decision won't be made until end of the season

Hopefully the truth and not a PR charm offensive.“He also said [owners] the Glazers are huge United traditionalists and they want to emphasise that they want things to be run the Manchester United way.”
"The Glazers are huge United traditionalists"...?I like this bit;

It could be argued that trying their best to trust the manager more than any other top club would do is somewhat a Utd tradition. These are the people who have run the last 5 years of the club! Employed Moyes (at Fergie's request or not, they employed the fecker and gave him that daft contract), employed LvG and kept him for too long with that awful, dreary football, and then employed Mourinho - the King of cynical football, and gave him a fecking extension...
Yeah, they are clearly "huge United traditionalists...
After the 3 idiots we hired, you should excuse people if they get worked up over seeing the name of a defensive manager linked to us.Calling Ed a tosser, idiot etc because of a lousy romour. Oh red cafe
You're not going to get managers sticking at a club for 10-20 years anymore mate, it just won't happen. Wenger & Fergie were the last of a dying breed. There's far too much pressure on managers to deliver instantly from the media and fans a like.Zidane. Build the perfect team and he'll accept managing it! If he thinks the team is unable to win a season he'll quit and run back to France!
Allegri, who?
Poch. Bring him, pay a lot. He'll stay a couple of years and when he gets an offer from Real Madrid or PSG he'll move on.
I really don't see any of those 3 as a lasting manager for the next 10-20 years. Big names will result in big changes and we'll have the past 5 years all over again. We need a manager that is able to adapt to the club and not the other way around.
I don't know if they are HUGE United traditionalists, but to be fair, it's still Old Trafford and not Kohler or TAG Heuer Stadium."The Glazers are huge United traditionalists"...?
Who on Earth could even entertain such utter dross?

Allegri could easily be a Glazer/Woodward pick. Hopefully Ole and the fanbase let them know the way United should play.
They floated the idea of selling the stadium naming rights to PepsiCo a few years back. Fortunately, they thought better of it.I don't know if they are HUGE United traditionalists, but to be fair, it's still Old Trafford and not Kohler or TAG Heuer Stadium.
As a Coca-Cola shareowner, I can't say the thought pleases me.They floated the idea of selling the stadium naming rights to PepsiCo a few years back. Fortunately, they thought better of it.
How does Pepsi Cola Old Trafford sound?
Anyone who's voted OGS is living in a fantasy dream land currently, it's no wonder we are where we are as a club, I love the man but it's been 2 games, even if he got us into 4th I would still take Pochettino.
Marco Rose and Rene Maric would be my choice if we don't get Poch. These two fit our club ethos like a glove. We should not get duped into big name management appointments again. We need to evolve our squad, rather than try and revolutionise it.
Does this guy speak English ? Very exciting option. Would need a Carrick type midfielder though.
This article seems genuine given the direct quotes from the man himself.
Agreed. After what we just passed through, the last thing we need is another Mr Negative.I would be devastated if we got Allegri.
I find myself questioning whether there's a "right choice" for us out there anymore. Ideally we should be getting a manager capable of outdoing the likes of Pep and Klopp while respecting our traditions of attacking football and youth development. But the two are in a league of their own at the moment. I don't know if Poch can do it.
It's still a bit unfair to compare Poch to either of those two given the relative investment each manager has been allowed to make.Poch is not as good as Pep or Klopp. We are sssmoky not going to hire a better coach than those two.
However, it doesn't mean we should hire someone who does not fit our ethos because he's won a few trophies.
Hire the best fit available and focus on improving the squad. See where that takes us. We don't have to win the title next season. We need to build. If in the next years, someone even better becomes available, hire the man.
