Pogba, De Gea and Rashford can have whatever salary they want. The rest should be negotiated.
Not really, but he's got a sentence in our most popular new singalong song.Does Rashford have a song/chant?
De Gea, Rashford and Pogba dont have songs? What about Mata? Not really, but he's got a sentence in our most popular new singalong song.
Ole’s at the wheel,
Tell me how good does it feel,
We’ve got Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Fred,
Marcus Rashford is Manc born and bred
Doo doo doo doo doo doooo
The greatest of English football
We’ve won it all
De Gea has one. It's "Everywhere you go, always take de gea with you" to the tune of Always take the weather with you.De Gea, Rashford and Pogba dont have songs? What about Mata?
Imagine being a post millennial, it's like being an after thought. I'd be insisting on Gen Z...I genuinely believed that millennials were kids born post 2000
Harry Kanes on 200,000 quid per week....But I think 150,000 may be just about right for Rashford considering the market right now. Will be interesting to see what De Gea and Pogba want from the club...They May want parity with Sanchez....What has he done to warrant 150 grand a week? I don't think even Harry kane is earning that much. Marcus has had a decent few weeks but that's about it.
That Sanchez deal is killing us.
Paying shit wages only gets you shit players. The wages we pay are mental tbh.
Fixed that for you. What is Martial's new salary ?
I'd be surprised if Rashford's new deal, when it is eventually agreed, comes much under 200K a week.
Our elite players right now are De Gea, Pogba and to a lesser extent Martial and Rashford. Our top paid players are Sanchez, Pogba, Lukaku (12m according to Football Leaks book), De Gea (10m - 12m), then Matic or Martial, Mata (7.5 - 8).
We are currently paying Lukaku 12m with the possibility of more if he hits difficult goals and assists targets, based on a season for Everton in which he managed a non-penalty goal or assist every 100 mins in the PL. Sanchez's best season for Arsenal, again a non-penalty goal or assist every 100 mins in the PL. Right now, Rashford is matching that goal or assist every 100 mins in the PL, despite a slow start to the season.
Rashford's goal to game tally is currently better than Ronaldo's was after the same amount of games for United. We should be doing everything possible to keep the rest of Europe away from one of our prized assets, that can ultimately be one of the best strikers in Europe.Harry Kanes on 200,000 quid per week....But I think 150,000 may be just about right for Rashford considering the market right now. Will be interesting to see what De Gea and Pogba want from the club...They May want parity with Sanchez....
Well said! Also, i would rather this money go to Rashford, who will spend and distribute a lot of his income around Manchester, than to the Glazers. In general I'm fine with a club's money going to players rather than owners.Don't even care how much we pay him, I honestly don't understand why so many supporters are interested in the financial outlay of the club. We're not in any danger, we have owners who apparently are in it for the money and fans still moan when they spend too much. They can't win.
The shirt means more to Rashford, Lingard too, than anyone else at the club. I don't begrudge them earning what they do when we have other mercenaries that don'd give a shit.
Transfermarkt says «relatives».Unless there has been a push from Rashford's side, I don't see why the hurry to give him a new contract. Isn't there enough contract situations to already worry about?
Does he have an agent or does his family look into things?
We always paid good our top players. Rashford IMO is our fourth best player after Pogba, De Gea and Martial, so 150k/week (after bonuses) is not that much for one of our top players. Signing someone like him, would cost north of 100m, and will be instantly in 200k/week.It does look like our new policy is just out pay the competition so that they aren't tempted to leave. The big contract we need to make sure we get nailed down in the next few seasons is Pogba.
That’s exactly what we are doing, what year are you in? Do you think if he goes on to prove what you hope he will prove that he would ask for £150k a week? He’s getting what he deserves right now, and if he gets even better, he’d get even more. This is the Sanchez effect then.
We should be paying him like he's still got something to prove, not like he's already made it. It's not like he's going to leave us if we don't break the bank for this contract.
Traditionally, attackers get paid more too. I agree about the replacement price, it makes a lot more sense to tie Rashford down to big wages than have to replace him with someone who costs north of £100m.We always paid good our top players. Rashford IMO is our fourth best player after Pogba, De Gea and Martial, so 150k/week (after bonuses) is not that much for one of our top players. United is known to have the 2nd largest wage bill in the whole world, just below Barca, but above Madrid. So, those numbers might be accurate. Those are more or less the reported net salaries after tax, though I'm a bit dubious about the exchange rate used in the article as well. The cost to Real Madrid is roughly double that.
UK football pay on the other hand is reported in the press pre-tax. That £150k figure would put him on Kovacic money, and significantly less than Asensio for example. We'll be very lucky to get him for that - especially if there are no increments or release clauses in the contract.
Hopefully we'll get a deal that suits him and us sorted quickly and quietly. I'm sure we will, transfer fees make no economic sense, and Woodward knows economics.
Yeah, lets buy a young player for 200m and give him 300k per week, thats how it's done. Giving Rashford 150k is too much of a good businessMore penny pinching by the Glazers I see, going with the cheap option as always of extending a contract, instead of just buying a better player, which is what real men do.
I also don't think any club would be stupid enough to pay some of our other players that stupid wages. Not when we've been a nothing team past SAF.Some of you lot, man.
"The games gone..."How anyone can complain about paying under £10m a year wages for a player we'd value at over £100m if he were to leave, I don't know. I'd have thought he could get £250k a week to be honest. It's not as if we could easily replace him with someone better. I'm surprised folk get worked up by this sort of thing, Utd earned about £600m last year. That figure could have been £500m or £700m and none of us would have cared about the difference, yet a few million extra in wages to one of our best players and suddenly it's an issue?
I put the link from totalsportek. It's literally there. So we won't be top. Barca have added shit loads of players, Madrid will sign lot of players this summer.
In any case, your initial list is just wrong, Sillyseason, Sportskeeda are crap sources who don't even know the difference between gross and net wages.
Rashford isn't on the same level as Mbappe.Honestly don't get people complaining about his salary?
How much do you think it would cost to sign Mbappe and pay him? If anything Rashford should wait until the end of next season and hold us ransom for a new contract.
If Rashford payed in the French league he'd be better.Rashford isn't on the same level as Mbappe.
They also just got rid of Ronaldo.I put the link from totalsportek. It's literally there.
Anyway, all sources put United as above Real Madrid. On wages. That's even they've just won Champions League 3 times in a row.
