Nonsense is those stats. This is what they actually look like in terms of progression:

Lacazette:

Season - Goals - Minutes per goal
14/15 - 27 - 106
15/16 - 21 - 141
16/17 - 28 - 86
17/18 - 14 - 158
18/19* - 10 - 172

Giroud:

Season - Goals - Minutes per goal
10/11 - 12 - 243
11/12 - 21 - 153
12/13 - 11 - 212
13/14 - 16 - 193
14/15 - 14 - 133

I don't need to point out when they both moved to England, its quite clear. Lacazette saw his productivity literally halve and Giroud took 3 seasons to get up to the pace of the PL.
Here are the total stats from transfermarkt if you want to check:

Giroud

16/17 1780 16 7
17/18 2157 12 3

Love Rashford, think he can be one of England's best in a few years.

But Mbappe is arguably the best teenager since Messi/Ronaldo. He's so good, his performance at the World Cup was insane, let alone for a 18 year old. Just think he's a bit better than Rashford at this moment in time, and likely has a slightly higher ceiling.

Transfermarkt is where the numbers I posted came from. We're talking leagues here btw, not friendlies and first round cup games vs Timbuktu.

I can't find a single striker coming from France who hasn't seen their performances dip in the PL. You'd have to assume Mbappe would be no different.

Mbappe is ahead of Rashford, but imagine Rashford's stats if he'd been playing in a one-horse pub league like the PSG players have.

Fans overrating their player, shocker.

Rooney was great, but not Mbappe great. Mbappe at 18 dicked on City's defenders (lead by the mighty Pep), and made them his bitch.
Rooney was better than Mbappe at literally every aspect of the game except for pace. That's only because Mbappe is exceptionally fast. Rooney was the complete forward in his prime. You're deluded if you think people have that opinion because they support United. It was England fans that called him the White Pele, not United fans. I really hate what Rooney became in his later years with us but i'll never let that blind me to the fact he was one of the greatest youth talents i've ever seen.

He was absolutely sensational (and that's not taking anything away from Mbappé).

Rashford is good, one of the top prospects in football. He has been good for us for some time and great for the last two months, but Mbappe is THE TOP prospect. Even supporting ManUtd we can't deny that Mbappe is the bigger talent, that doesn't mean that Rashford can't or won't become world class, but Mbappe is the one to look in that generation.

If Rashford continues to have the run he is having consistently then we can start talking about him being on Mbappe's level, but right now there shouldn't be any doubts, Mbappe is best.

Guardiola was failing badly at the time, until he was given a blank chequebook for a new team.

Teenage Rooney looked like being the best player England had ever produced.

Mbappe is a better player than Rashford, I'd say by quite some distance too. Could become one of the GOATs. Rashford would do well to reach Harry Kane's level.

I think Rashford's career was held back in some respects under Jose. We're seeing him now playing his natural game and under Ole, he really looks the business. That's two seasons lost from the formative years of his career. Mbappe is a phenomenon and I wish we had him.

At this moment in time, Mbappe is better. Mbappe is one of the best forwards in the world at this present moment in time and one of the best players.

As of right now, Mbappe looks like, and has been, the more talented player - someone who seemingly can reach the very very top of the game.

If I told you that I'm from the future and in 5 years' time Mbappe has won a couple of Ballon D'ors you probably wouldn't be that surprised. If I said the same about Rashford however, there would be a lot more raised eyebrows.

Both great prospets of course, there's just a clear difference at the moment.

But things change in football, sometimes quicker than you might think, so who knows...

I hate it when people do these comparisons. Both of these players could fade into obscurity and mediocrity by the time they’re 25 for all we know.

There’s load of players who looked amazing when they were teenagers but faded with age, and a load of players who looked nothing special when they were younger then exploded in their later career.

I know what you're trying to say but Mbappe is far too good to do this. I'd say there is absolutely 0% chance unless something like a bad injury occurs.

Anybody still think Rashford is even close? Mbappe is one of the best players in the world, Rashford isn't anywhere near that. Oh well.

Don't even think Mbappe had a great game. But he's just a different gravy really. Terrifying when he gets on the ball.

I don’t know anyone who thinks Mbappe isn’t more talented and better. That doesn’t say Rashford won’t be a great player. Pointless comparison imo.

How fecking rapid is Mbappe? Jesus Christ. Imagine what it must feel like to be a defender trying to catch up with him running at full pace.

Mbappe would have struggled second half if you swap him and rashford imo

Mbappe was kept quiet first half and rashford defo had a better first half
Mbappe however came alive once we went 1 nil down and started leaving so much space

There's no comparison between the two. Rashers is a good young player, Mbappe is perhaps the next global superstar.

Basically this.

I love Rashford but Mbappe is the best young player in the world bar none.

He's on a different planet when you compare Rashford and him. What sets them apart is decision making and finishing, even though he missed a few today.

M'bappé got the goal, and I rate him higher regardless, but there wasn't much in it here. The only difference was their CB was allowed to manhandle lil Marcus.

You're crazy. He was a great talent, but he was nowhere near what Mbappe was doing around the same age. Mbappe is a better passer than Rooney, a better finisher, he's quicker, more skillful, and has better vision. Also, he's actually accomplished more without being a passenger whether it's the CL or world cup where you can't use Ligue 1 against him. He's won the Ligue 1 with two different teams as well, when everyone assumes PSG wins every year.
