His off the movement is good but he clearly lacks quality on the ball , he misplaced pass all day and break down our counter attack more often than not.

Just saw the press conference and the journalist said described Lindgard and Martial as two young players. Will Lindgard be described as a young player until he hits 30? It's quite funny.

People need to stop reducing his movement to “running around”. There is thought and method in what he does, it’s disrespectful.

Next season, assuming we sign a top class RW, does anyone think we could play him at #8 alongside Pogba with Herrera at #6?

A lot depends on the manager. I think if we get Pochettino, he will go after Sancho. With Ole, think he sees Jesse as a top level player and a key part of the first XI.

First thing he'll do is go after a big mobile #9 for the focal point of his 4231. Rashford won't work there and Lukaku isn't good enough. Then there's the problem of Pogba - completely wasted as one of the holding mids and doesn't fit anywhere in the 3. Maybe he'll adjust his system to the players available, do I hear you say. Good luck with that one. He's as completely wedded to the 4231 as Mourinho and we know how that went. Either way, Jesse will survive, Amazing how every manager seems to think he's better than the Caf's opinion of him.

He hasn't played 4-2-3-1 this season, and and he regularly change tactic to fit what players he has available. Pogba would probably play where Eriksen has played this season in a deeper midfield role, Lingard would probably play how Poch use Alli.

Yeah, for sure in certain games. Pogba might accept to play a bit deeper every now and then and with a RW like Sancho or similar we wont starve for creativity from having Pogba a bit further back. Lingard could work more effectively as an 8 with someone out wide aside him. Add a right back to the equation and we might have a fully functional and well balanced team.

When ole compared him to park, I really had my eyebrows raised.
Ole just want to big up the guy, make him believe he can be on that level. And if Jesse gets anywhere near it we'll all be happy.

Would be perfect for the game vs Liverpool. His work rate has been really good. I hope He'll play.

Just hope he’s back for when we go to his dance floor next weekend. Not looking likely though.

That international break is well timed coming up for us, just a shame we had a midweek game to contend with too.

Im guessing he would have been fine if he was successful in rounding Allison but the keeper stopping him done him. I reckon medical team would have thought he was fine for bench but not to start (have a 30 min run out). Was surprised he came on before Alexis (but then Alexis was so poor against PSG I can see why)

I am glad that he has started training and hopefully will be involved against Wolves in some capacity. Without him I feel our attack becomes disjointed. And I look forward to the trio of Martial, Rashford and Lingard being fit and firing alongside an in-form Lukaku.

He has a free role in the team and did nothing. Incredibly frustrating and I don’t know why Ole left him on for so long.

Not sure what the point of Jesse Lingard was today? Especially vs a team that had such a low defensive block

The last thing we needed was running. Seriously lacked creativity and Lingard doesn't provide that. Awful today.

Pointless player. Brings nothing to the game. I can't believe he makes it into the team when guys like greenwood and Gomes are knocking on the door.

Can't do anything when denied space. First player we should look to upgrade.

Useful when we need to cover the ground, but we need skill to unlock a defence he's pointless.

He needs to fast become a bench option for us, not a starter.

Unbelievable how he's our first choice for the right wing. Un-fecking-believable.

I don’t even think he’s good enough for back up anymore. I really hope we get shut in the summer but that would mean bringing in an experienced manager too.

How lingard has been a Utd player as long as he has is mind boggling.

He should have been shipped out years ago.

A totally average player.

So bad today. Offered nothing to the attack or the midfield.

Against a low block team such as Wolves, im not sure we needed a player like Lingard to cut in. To expose defensive teams, you have to stretch them and it took too long for us to get the ball from one side to another, which meant their back five was always set. We needed to drag them across the pitch and to do that, we should have probably looked to have two out and out wingers or wing backs.

He probably shouldnt be starting in peoples summer muppet lineups.. good player especially when on form, but tonight played like Alexis. Didn't do enough to step up when we needed movement and link up, which is what he is good for.

He's another, like Rashford, who is far too inconsistent. Nothing more than a bang average PL player.
