He is going nowhere and is simply angling for a maximum payday from us and rightly so.

He is our only "star" level player which puts us in a weak bargaining position.

Until we genuinely have a quality squad that challenges, it's ridiculous to expect the couple of top players (him, DDG) to not flirt with moves frankly.

Red Card for Casemiro!
I don't see why it would be wrong if he left.

We sell the likes of Fellaini and Blind because we think they are not on our level - how is it different from Pogba moving to a club which is on a much higher level? No matter what his consistency, his quality is world class and he'd like to be in a world class team which can aim for honors like the CL. We struggle to finish in top four consistently and are more of a marketing business than a football club. What can we offer that Real can't?

Even from a footballing point of view, our only midfield legend at the club who can help Pogba out as a player trash talked him during his punditry. Real on the other hand, are managed by the greatest French midfielder of all time, a man who was probably Pogba's idol growing up - someone who possessed a similar amount of skill and made it count when it mattered. Pogba will in all probability be a much better decision maker and leader under Zidane's tutelage.

I'm glad he's said he's happy and that he has a good relationship with Ole, and that he wants to stay for now. That's far more than what we can ask given what we offer in return.

Meh. We have at least another season. We genuinely compete next year and he'll not need to be swayed.

Don't think Madrid will be interested. They have far too much they need to spend on other more pressing areas.

Now seriously, and as I told you before I think Zidane would like Kanté and Pogba as first options, but I think he is aware that there will be other more realistic options.
Raiola + the price makes it very difficult.
He would have to create a situation of great tension and Madrid have a very weak position.
They would have to raise a lot of money with some unexpected exit, like Varane or Kroos

truth is, if he leaves, his stock will only go up.

Real, despite having a bad season this year, we are like in our 5th bad season, have a tradition of going for the best of the best and chances are they would surround him with real talent.

at United he has to carry the attack almost single handedly:

Nothing to be concerned about. Answering in such a way gives him a better position to negotiate from when discussing new contract. He keeps his options open but insist he's happy here. I have no doubt that he'll be here this summer and beyond .

Didn't Raiola say something about returning to Manchester and then on to Spain after a few years? This was at the time of his return from Juve. Maybe the lad likes it here and he'll stay but if Zidane does come calling, I reckon he'd give it some very serious thought.

I have to say I hate seeing United players talking about other clubs as dream clubs. It’s completely unnecessary.

We won’t keep the best players if we stay a level or two behind the best teams in Europe. Club has to add quality and seriously challenge otherwise I would not blame the likes of Pogba or De Gea leaving.

I don't think he'll go this summer anymore. But, if we're honest, he and his twat agent are not going to be here forever...

Wouldn't be surprised if both him and De Gea goes in the summer. I will say though that it's very annoying how he keeps making interviews like these. When you are at a gigantic club like Manchester United you should never, ever mention any other clubs. Plus as we all know his agent is a massive piece of shite.

He still has some years on his contract so the club shouldn't worry about this summer at least. A lot of posters are sad feckers though, players come and go. It's part of the business.

Currently my favourite player, but if he goes at some point, he goes. The club moves on. Players come and go, that’s the nature of the game.

Get a good fee, sign someone else, tweak the team to suit and move on.

I wouldn't care to be honest.

I think he is slightly overrated - only because he is constantly allowed to play as a CM without defensive impact etc.
We change formation and players to try to get the best out of him - which is a tad confusing. Many better players in the world than Pogba.
Agree. I think Pogba is like Stevie Me - individually a very good player, but he does hinder the team play somewhat. I think a better team could be created without him.

He is just so annoying. He isnt worth the hassle really. He might want to look at himself for a minute, he has been terrible since we threw PSG out. I wouldnt mind if we got rid.

We've survived with better players leaving us before.

Not too fussed when he does leave.

He still has a few years left at the club.

Wouldn't be bothered in the future, I feel like we rely on him a bit because we lack equal quality around the pitch, if he left but we replaced him with other quality players on the pitch I honestly don't think we'd miss him that much. However, we can't really afford to lose him this summer.

AS have just run a story saying Pogba wanted to sign for Real in 2016 but Florentino wouldn't deal with Raoila.

Shows how highly Real value Pogba doesn't it. Maybe he should think about it.

As expected, various posts bashing the board, top reds waving goodbye, wailing abouy Real getting whoever they want...

Is nobody concerned he literally said we are now in Top 4? Am I the only one worried that after all the excitement of the chase and underdog spirit we suddenly collectively switched off after briefly reaching 4th spot and making it to the CL QFs?

There's no "we clawed back 12 points trophy". Stop congratulating yourselves and focus on the job at hand: the next game, then the other.

Don't see the appeal of moving to Spain personally. Apart from the sunny weather, it's rather shite.

Well, I wouldn't like to see you or most fans here run a big club, or we'd have sold the likes of Ronaldo every time dared mention another club, or have a quiet game where he gets shackled by the defenders. Big clubs try to keep their world class players, not by being petty because our club isn't their one and only love.

It's an easy story to write. Wasn't their excuse at the time that they refused to pay an agent fee or something? Now it's Flo didn't want to work with his agent.
All nonsense.

Incredibly generic response. While Mourinho was here, there were loads that blatantly wanted to leave. Ole is here, Pogba and others are happy, they'll all stay (if Ole wants them) for the foreseeable future. Foreseeable future means next 2 seasons. Pogba just turned 26, is world class, and could start at any club in the world. Pogba has a contract with a +1 option currently expiring in summer 2021, option til summer 2022. Summer 2022 he'll be 29 years old. He'll want trophies at some point. So of course, he'll probably look to leave in summer 2020/21 if we fail to compete for the top trophies then. If we do, he'll stay.

He didn't actually say anything that literally every player would ever say. It's incredibly dumb for a player to ever say "I'm never leaving". What they say is "I'm happy where I am now but long term nobody knows". Standard. He was asked about Real Madrid and Zidane. Zidane is french. Pogba is french. What do you think anyone would say? Pogba is happy with Ole here and will stay another 2 seasons so long as we keep improving and challenge for trophies.

Might be a slightly controversial point, but Scholes, Giggs and all our other United legends wouldn't have stayed that long if we weren't the best side in England for 25 years. Since Fergie retired, we have been top 4 contenders and nothing more. De Gea staying this long is a miracle in itself and nobody could say a single thing if he decided to leave, because being honest, he has been a level or 2 above what we've been the last 5-6 years. Any top player who can start at any club in the world will leave at some point if your club doesn't compete for trophies. Players like Totti who were world class but just loved their club that much and decided to stay their whole careers there despite the lack of competing for big trophies are 1 in a million. Neville would probably have been that with United. Scholes and Giggs are possibilities but it's hard to say for sure because we always were winning, so it wasn't a worry. Whenever any stories came up, the first thing they would say is: "We're winning trophies every year, why would we leave?". Well, put them in our side the last 5 years, with Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho all making a mess. You can bet your ass that there's a good chance a few of them would go.

We should be preparing for any chance he might move and be ready with a replacement so that we won't be shocked when it happens.

For me I'm certain he's not going to stay here long term.
