If him and Levy get along well, he will stay quite long there i think. Could turn Spurs into a proper force. I dont see him in the PL at another club, maybe Real later.

He's not a man suited for Real. Too much drama and kleenex waving over there. He's better suited at a club like Spurs where the pressure isn't too big and he has all the time he could ask for.

He'd get sacked from Real after one trophyless season. He is aware of this himself hence why he turned them down.

Exactly. Every thread, every one of them.
It will hopefully get better during pre season and when we've brought in some new players. Although while I can get some of the anger at the moment, I'm massively looking forward to next season.

Yup. Would have loved him at United. After tonight, though, there’s no way he could have been tempted in the summer. So that eases the sting a bit.
Yeah he might have been great here. Although part of me always wanted him to stay at Spurs to see how far he could go with them(Same with this Ajax team, it would have brilliant if they all stayed together for the next couple of years.)

Pochettino is the perfect combination of emotional motivation, man-management, tactical nous, having a clear playing style and excellence at player coaching.

When you look at the money spent - both wages and net transfer spend - by European and Prem rivals in comparison to Spurs, he has done a truly remarkable job.

He really is a top, top manager.

Yes, and that's been United's biggest problem … believing that money is the solution.

Pochettino turned down Real Madrid in the summer - as he himself has recently confirmed. There is zero chance he will come to United to play in the EL next summer.
Agreed, money isn't all that. At Tottenham Poch will feel comfortable, he knows if you play badly next season you won't kick him to the curb like we would.
This forum is a decent representation of it, people want Ole out already, why would Poch leave Spurs to join a worse squad (in my opinion) with unrealistic expectations? I wouldn't anyway.

Funny how his own player stated that this win wasn't tactical, it was just hard work!!
Fair play to Poch and Spurs, but he didn't exactly play a tactical blinder here!
Could end up being a decent season for Spurs after all!
It was tactical though. They went route one and capitalized on the size difference between Blind and Llorente.

which is?
A good balance between attack and defence, able to play on the counter when needed, able to dominate possession and go all out attack when needed. But above all, belief: a never say die attitude.

Don't get too carried away folks: 13 PL defeats and an abysmal run last weeks. And you'll be facing the apex of Klopp's Liverpool.

The bundesliga is nothing compared to the premier league. Winning something in that league is easier than winning something in the premier league. Give Pochettino similar resources Pep and Guardiola has the past few years and the answer might become clearer to you.
He's been there for years though, he lost the title to Ranieri with an even smaller budget. The prem has only become really difficult to win since Pep and Klopp got here.

Our PL form recently has been hugely disappointing, but it's pretty clear we've taken our eye off the ball in that respect. Not acceptable of course but the perils of a shallow squad and some injury issues combining, it's hard for us to focus on two competitions.

Who gives a feck to be honest. You finished 4th and that's what matters in the end. I'd love to be in your position at the moment.

He ain’t going anywhere unless Levy tells him there’s no money to be spent again this summer. He’s finally at the brink of achieving something with the group he’s been building for 5 years.

Only a disagreement at the board level will set him free, but after tonight I’d wager they’d be more inclined to give into his demands.

Yes and also I forgot to say that with the run you've had in the CL it was only inevitable for a drop of form in the league. You've basically fielded the same 11 every game, everyone is knackered and yet you got 4th and reached a CL final. Fair play to you guys I truly am impressed.

Now don't let this arse kissing deceive you, if you don't smash the scouse cnuts you'll get scolded.

On the ball your team seems like a jack of all trades master of none. Off the ball it's pretty much a pressing side like most top sides are.

To do this all with no signings in the last 2 windows? Unbelievable honestly. I expect spurs to make some big moves this summer win or lose the final!

*you better fecking win though!

That post match interview is from the same guy who says trophies are unimportant.
Obviously he means for the health of the club long-term, but obviously chances of big trophies are huge for individuals and clubs.

Well, we mastered City and Ajax in the CL, so really your analysis doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

It's going to be a tough ask that's for sure.

Say what you want about that bunch of cnuts, but they're a proper side.

I wouldn't bother, there are some absolute bell ends on here at the moment. Who's main goal is to fill up every thread about United being shite.
It’s sort of the overriding theme and reality of the moment. It would be much weirder if everyone here was in denial.

That season was an outlier. Like someone on Redcafe winning the mega billion lottery. Most of the top six teams had their issues and everything fell perfectly for that leceister side. The premier league has always been difficult as there are more challengers for the title and it is not a one horse race like the bundesliga where Bayern has no real challengers beside themselves. The premier has also had some good managers in the past that could compete with Pep and Klopp team. Mourinho chelsea, Wenger invincible, Sir Alex 07/08 side and so on.

Saying that trophies doesn't matter actually doesn't matter as long as you win them.

Fantastic manager. Even if we had made CL and we hadn't hired Ole, there's no guarantee he would have come. He showed so much emotion and passion at Spurs.

Well done Poch and Spurs. Now please beat Liverpool.

Love the man, genuine tears at the final whistle which makes me so proud to have him at our club, that one meant a lot

Please back him Daniel, the man has worked miracles, if he gets the players he wants we can be a genuine challenger to City and Liverpool, consistently.

He was talking about that after we were knocked out the FA Cup by Palace, even then he didn't say trophies didn't matter, he said that he believed the domestic trophies don't take you to another level.

He's always said that the CL and the League are most important.

Wasn't someone on here telling me Ole was better because he won a Norwegian title.
