Lot of rumors of him playing most of the WC through the pain barrier, hence big cartilage problems in his knees.FFS, is it that bad? Had no idea, albeit I knew he was injury prone - especially this season.

They usually dissect other sources.
The post above yours was sourced from Euro United in Paris but I know nothing about them.
nope
Thank youThey translate other sources. The latest one translates Euro United, who have been pretty rubbish when it comes to United related stuff from what I've seen.
That rumour just about sums up silly season. We will get linked with just about anyone, but why on Earth would we sign a striker on the wrong side of 30? Sure, he's a great player, but that's not going to happen. Doubt we even showed any interest...no to Lewa
You do realise Ligue 1 is way better than the championship right, so I would argue that Pepe is much more proven than James. Pepe has 22 goals and 11 assists this season whereas James who is just two years younger has 4 goals and 6 assists? The club's back up plan to Sancho is an inconsistent 21 year old with a grand total of Zero PL minutes? Well, we are truly fecked.
We could easily add someone like Pepe for 50 mill Euros or something.
Huh? Cos the 23yr old Pepe with NO pl minutes for 3/4 times the price is such a sure thing as opposed to the 21yr old with no Pl minutes?
We are fecked from 1 transfer RUMOUR?
Get a grip on reality and give the window a bit of time, its been open for LESS THAN A DAY
Selling Sanchez and Lingard and signing nobody would be an improvement - they are both not needed
Thanks for the update/response bud.Lot of rumors of him playing most of the WC through the pain barrier, hence big cartilage problems in his knees.
Hey, inconsistent is a lot better than completely fecking useless.Getting rid of Lukaku and Sanchez and then left with Rashford, Martial, Lingard and James. 3 inconsistent youngsters and one old inconsistent youngster.
Not 100% sure, but i remember reading somewhere that it changed (think it was when City bought Laporte). I think the taxes thing is scrapped, so now the player only has to deposit the money he got from the club in the La Liga headquarters and he is out of contract and can sign for the new club.Isn't there some deal with the player having to pay the release clause in Spain and if the parent club doesnt want to sell, it can be more expensive than just the release clause if someone wants to buy their player (taxes I guess?)
Or has that changed?
I'd disagree - a player from the championship is just as likely to adapt to the PL than a foreigner. Its very naïve logic to think Pepe will settle based on the league he plays in.You do realise Ligue 1 is way better than the championship right, so I would argue that Pepe is much more proven than James. Pepe has 22 goals and 11 assists this season whereas James who is just two years younger has 4 goals and 6 assists?
Not to mention players from Ligue 1 adapt very well to the PL whereas players who do well in Championship may struggle to adapt to PL, look at Neves who was tearing it up in the championship but has been hit and miss in the PL
Also mate, stop yelling. Looks like you are the one who needs to get a grip
Oh yeah let's sell Sanchez and Lingard and sign no one, let's go into the season with Martial, Lukaku, Rash and James as our attacking options and when Martial gets injured on the first game, let's throw our teenage academy products in at the deep end. Solid plan mate, who needs bench strength anyways especially when we have forwards who never get injured
How many times is this going to be posted? Sport Witness are fine. They just translate foreign stories into English.nope

Same, one reason why i don't think they should be classed as a reliable source. They translate other sources. The latest one translates Euro United, who have been pretty rubbish when it comes to United related stuff from what I've seen.
Same.I saw plenty of him at Celtic. He was fine for the SPL and stood out as a cut above. However, unless he's improved substantially, my opinion is that we need better quality.

Fired? So if we don't spend this summer he should be fired. He's basically said we'd spend a lot. (Talking about Woodward)
Seems 25% is the popular guessWhat is the sell on clause we have?
I think we are splitting hairs! Can they be relied upon/trusted as a transfer source was the intendard question. No was the answer. Not can they successfully translate from English to Spanish or German or Swahili. Because they aren't very selective on what they translate, we can't trust what they report as gospel. I don't see what the big deal it tbh must be a slow day todayBut they're not a source (most of the time). They just reliably translate other sources.
People are obsessed with this man on here. Woodward is as qualified as you can get in business, I’m sure the real football world doesn’t operate in such a manner where teams, especially teams that have been appearing on the top of the Forbes list for a decade, have to pretend they are skint to fool everyone! Why does Woodward always shout about us having and spending money? That’s not exactly a good negotiating tactic is it?
I don't think it's a secret, but what I think IS a worry, is that he clearly likes his statement signings, rather than focusing on what would be best long term. Why does Woodward always shout about us having and spending money? That’s not exactly a good negotiating tactic is it?
FM says 50% and they're supposed to be pretty accurate. The Palace chairman also said it was a large sell on fee which was the reason for the low initial fee.Seems 25% is the popular guess
Hmm, 50% and they're quoting 100mFM says 50% and they're supposed to be pretty accurate. The Palace chairman also said it was a large sell on fee which was the reason for the low initial fee.

It’s clear as day that we need a lot of work this summer, widely reported. He’s simply said he will back the manager in the market. One person has already gleaned from that that ‘so he should be sacked if we don’t spend loads’. I mean, c’mon.
There’s absolutely nothing to see with his comments, it’s just some are so determined to see it regardless.
According to that Reddit "ITK" account, he instructed his agent to tell us to feck off.Hmm, 50% and they're quoting 100m
We're buying him for 100m and getting 50m back aren't we
Wouldn’t be surprised - he’s had a few interviews where he expressly states the club didn’t support him. Natural if he has bad blood against us.According to that Reddit "ITK" account, he instructed his agent to tell us to feck off.
It was a conference call for the third quarter finances. Knowing if we're going to be backing the manager is the kind of thing they'd be concerned with. He'd hardly be saying in the conference call "Hey, come invest in us. We've not qualified for the Champions League so naturally our earnings are going to decrease, but don't worry, we've sorted that out by not going to spend anything this summer so you can expect us to be out of the CL for the foreseeable."Why does Woodward always shout about us having and spending money? That’s not exactly a good negotiating tactic is it?
