Can’t find any source tweets to confirm but reading a lot of chat on twitter that DC United are interested in taking Ashley Young for £6 million??
Seen a few things about this too. Doubt it but the gifs and images are brilliant on twitter

I would take him to DC United myself :lol::lol:. But probably won't happen so don't torture us :nono::nono:. The only thing that Ashley Young has contributed to football is a bird shitting in his mouth.

Originated from PHardingSport which is yet another fake account.
Looks like it. His previous post was claiming that De Ligt's agent has said he is 'very close' to agreeing terms with United, which is just a lie.

The amount of fake news from bullshitters this summer seems worse than ever. Might be better off with a white list of acceptable news sources instead of a black list of banned ones.

Young going to DC United would feel as good as a proper decent signing. And £6m is a fantastic offer for him.

No worries. From a quick glance it was started by PHarding yesterday, then earlier today 360Sources (another fake account) said it escalated into a bid. They have 100k followers so it has spread like wildfire.
Aye I saw loads of United accounts and people I follow on Twitter talking about it. Just shows how much absolute rubbish gets peddled and quickly becomes something that's passed off as genuine. Again, apologies.

i wish journalists would stop trotting out this repetitive 'no CL football' line. players don't give a feck if they miss out on one year of CL, there's so many other more important facets to a deal.

Yep. It's only really important for players who've never played in it before for exposure. If you play for United you don't need to worry about that.

Didn't rate him when he was in the Premier League and I'm not surprised he's flopped at Barca. The fee they paid was absolutely ludicrous and they'll no doubt be looking to recoup a large chunk of it. We should absolutely avoid this one like the plague.

Typical ABU bullshit. Was barely mentioned before United missed out on CL.

And frankly if a player thought that I'd say no worries we'll find someone who does and then when we are back to peak don't expect another phone call, or us to answer when you are begging to come to the biggest team in world football.

A slightly arrogant view, but frankly we have the biggest fan base, one of the greatest stadiums, a rich history, we pay top dollar, our fans are some of the best.

Mundo Deportivo reporting it. Plausible since Ramos wants to leave. If true then it'll be very hard for us to get him.

I'd be surprised given the money they are spending elsewhere

Hazard £60-120m depending on what you believe
Militao £45m (surely a ready made Ramos replacement already, albeit inexperienced)
Rodrygo £40.5m

They also clearly want a midfielder, with Pogba high on the agenda (although maybe another year). De Gea might be unlikely but that's another in consideration.

This said they might recoup some money and wages for James (not sure many would pay big for him given wages) and Ramos (cant see a big fee) and maybe Bale (though likely to make a loss on removing him)

I feel only Madrid and Juve are real alternatives for De Ligt. Both can afford the potentially deadly wage (genuinely don't think Barca can) and the crazy fee (dont think PSG can) and both have a potential spot in their centre of the defense that De Ligt may get the game time he needs. That being said Ramos is unlikely to leave, even if wants it and they just signed the guy from Porto for 50m. They may move for a more low profile CB than De Ligt who wont make as much noise or take up a vital chunk of the transfer budget. Juventus just have Rugani (seem less and less interested in him every season), Bonucci and Chiellini both getting worse with their age.

As far as the Spanish are concerned, every top player has a contract offer from us.

This is a scary statement.
why? United are one of the most famous clubs in the world. If you join us you're instantly famous over night. Not many other clubs can do that is what I mean.

Joining a CL eligible club doesn't automatically mean that.
