Why not allow Inter to pay in instalments? Both should work this out as both want it to happen. At least it gets the player's wages off the club's accounts first

Deals are already mostly done in installments.

It's just doesn't seem to be something they do, if you look at their transfers over the last 5 years, they tend to spend about 50-100 in total and fairly balanced books, they play about 30-40m at most, they just buy a few of them. So unless they sell a few before hand, I can't see it.

United should demand Icardi in return. Fantastic value for Lukaku. Both sides will be happy.

Is his general play that bad? Surely its much better than Lukaku's.
I honestly don't think it exists.

I mean, that's hyperbole but he basically lives and dies inside the box. He won't get involved in the build up, won't drop deep. Even Lukaku going out to the right is far more than Icardi would bring.

Rumours have dried up havent they.
Wish we were more proactive in the window. Dont think we will see wholesale changes this window
Last summer we wanted four or five and ended up with two (plus a 3rd choice keeper), one which was a very young player (Dalot) the other a player from Ukraine we knew wouldn't make a huge difference (Fred) for the season.

We want five or six now and are being fed information that it will be four or five but I'm thinking two or three signings maximum with one being Daniel James. It's just how the club operates now. We aren't very good in transfer windows because our scouting is crap, we don't have a DOF so it's reactionary signings and a bunch of guess work. Very indecisive too.

There is no way Ashley Young leaves this summer. I think we will see a similar situation to Valencia this season, where Young will be our captain on paper but (hopefully) start few games, and leave the club on a free next summer. He has just signed a new 1-year extension, and it wouldn't make much sense for him to leave now. Young is a decent backup at both RB and LB, but we have to make sure that our first-choice options are so much better than him that he is forced out of our starting 11.
Unfortunately true and even more tragically, I think he'll be our starting right back for the most part.

I fecking hope not. He’s probably the best RB out there to get.

They’re improving on Walker (a weaker link in their side but in no way abysmal) whilst we’re likely to give Ashley Young (THE weak link) captaincy and an actual role. Ridiculous.

I'd be in favour. Quality on the ball and has a goal in him

Yeah, let's free up Barca's salary cap and give them some transfer money so they can afford De Ligt.

Let's buy Gareth Bale, while we're at it, he can play 5-6 games a season at a high level...

The day we get Young, Rojo and Darmian all out of the club, there should be a thread in here to celebrate and rejoice. Bloody freeloaders these three

 The state of affairs at our club
This here shows why we are sixth and they are domestic treble winners
We should have tried very hard to buy Cancelo, I'm sure Ronaldo would have put in a good word for us too.

If this is true, which looks like it is because there were rumors that Young is going to be our captain next year, then goodbye Ole. It's he can't see how shite Young is and is giving him the captaincy when he shouldn't even be on our bench, then his blind loyalty is going to get him sacked by Dec.

We will sign a RB, why are you guys unnecessarily bringing young into it ?

Young is probably our backup next year.

There were rumors that young will be captain next year. Captain won't be backup
LvG is gone, the captain shall not necessarily always play anymore. We've had club captains that barely played in recent years, like GNeville and Valencia.
