In a way, yes. But with us he can still grow and potentially become part of a very successful United. All he can do at PSG is help them win the CL but even then he won't build a legacy like he could at us or Barca.

If he signs with us then fantastic. If not then there are other CB's we could target who not only will improve us but will be considerably cheaper imo. Which in turn would enable to have extra funds for other problem positions.

Yeah it's crazy down there. It's their own fault in believing the ITKs who had their hopes up. Both deals were going to be extremely difficult to pull off. De Ligt wants to go to Barca, I believe UTD , PSG and the other teams are being used as leverage to get Barca to raise their offer.
AWB is possible, but with the EPL money, none of the premier league teams want to sell their best players for cheap. If we want AWB we can get him, but we would have to over pay by alot. I believe one of the papers had him valued at 70 mil pounds which is ridiculous.
Even going after players like Maguire and Madison is going to be hard.

I am still hopeful that we have a chance. It might be true that other clubs are in the mix. But we know our offer is superior to Barca's. I am not sure about PSG's though. Juve and Real are out of the reckoning. Bayern need to sell before bringing in another CB.
