Probably been posted before, but this is one of the better compilations of him. Looks electric. Played some games at RW too which is good to see. Can put in decent crosses and is right footed. Good buy as we lack depth and pace on the right

Had a look at YouTube videos since never seen him before, didn't really look that technical with the ball. But I didn't see that ebough from Mane when he was at Southampton to see the step up, so hopefully the scouts have unearthed something good here.
Mane still isn’t particularly technical at Liverpool, let alone at Southampton.

Cafe is moaning about this signing, that can only be a good sign.
Pretty much, basically the opposite of what Cafe Philosophers say, is normally true.

On an unrelated note, I really feel we should go for Ben Godfrey and/or Max Aarons from Norwich, would be similar signings to this one and they both have huge potential.

Have a look at the video I posted a few posts back. He does a Bergkamp-esque flick/pass at 7:40 that is delightful. Certainly has potential in that department.

I think people would be more excited if his name was Danielo Jamesinhio coming from the Narnian premier league for 100m.

Excited about this signing. Not expecting him to be a world-beater but he's young and promising, and a nice, fresh addition to the side. Worst case, he's not very good and we sell him for a small loss. Best case, we got a bargain.

This season really killed my mood and i am sorry because i became a moaner( i am aware of that, at least). So i don't see what is the point of this signing. His goal/assist stats are average at best. I also like his speed but he is not quality for first option winger. We have depth on wings. We need instant quality. We just added another average( solid, decent, hot prospect) player to our squad. He will just take minutes from Chong or Gomes or Greenwood.

I hope that this is not our only right wing signing.
Yeah we really need to sign another right winger to ensure Dan James doesn't take minutes from a centre forward and CAM.
I'm concerned by your post . . . Deeply so

With the prices in the English game we won't really lose any money on this if it doesn't work out.

Will be our best signing, ever. The scousers and citeh will rue the day they let this one go under their radar. I’ve just got onto my mate who’s a mason and he’s getting me a quote for his inevitable statue.

@Ban - Last 4 pages i've only 2 negative posts and 1 of which was a tongue in cheek comment. Maybe there were loads of negative posts first thing in the morning. *shrugs*

Might be more as I didn't show Ignored content mind you.

I’m about as excited for this signing as I was 6 years ago when Moyes was announced as our new manager. Back then I thought it was the wrong move, but he deserved to be given a chance. I hope this turns out better and my gut feeling is wrong. It all depends on what the rest of our transfer season brings and also how Ole plans to use him.
Top 4 here we come!

Two questions:

Why do we always seem to pay higher than the initial reported fee?

Will he go straight into the main squad or do people expect him to be loaned out?

The only reason posters make posts like that is so they look positive and everyone else looks negative. Self-glorification innit.

You didn't follow this thread at all, did you? Most of the people are happy with it, some people will always moan even if we bring Messi in as it would hinder the development of our brilliant youngsters.

To be honest I think its something journos love to do with us. They either deflate the fee before the signing or inflate it afterwards. They also have some room to expand the fee via ambiguous add-ons that they most likely know nothing about.

And I think he'll be straight in the squad, be very surprised if he goes out on loan.

Good news. Hope the kid does really well. If he is technically sound, intelligent, rapid and works hard, then he will be a nice addition to the team. Even if he doesn't end up top class that combination in itself can make for an improvement in the squad.

Also the negativity here is tiresome. And without having seen much of the player as well.

I get your point but not the best example. Sancho is an exotic name. I didn't even realise he's English until I checked
 that's true.

I was going to say Hudson-Adoi there but that sounds good too..

Damn multi-cultural young English players.

At least Daniel James is nice and unappealing!

No he isn’t. Very good player of course though.

Okay.
Did you see the Bayern goal? Dribbling at high speeds yet having great close control, finishing off both feet, is an example of good technique, only Hazard or Neymar are more technical wide forwards than he is.

Okay.
Depends on your definition of ‘technical’. He can play across four attacking positions at a top tier level.

I still don't understand. Is he RW or LW? Right footed or left? From this video he is more like right footed left winger
