Yup. The same lot booed Ronaldo for feck sake.

If one instance of fully justified jeers from a few Mancs got under his skin, just wait until he loses the ball on the half way line for Madrid, only to be seen walking back as Courtois picks the ball out the net. He’ll be crucified.
You’re absolutely right. If Pogba leaves, he better choose to go to PSG or Juventus. Madrid fans are absolutely ruthless and will start booing him at the first sight of him jogging when the team is down. No worse fit for him in world football than the Bernabéu.

He’s good but he’s not that good and massively inconsistent. Get a good fee for him, reinvest and we will likely be a better team for it. Biggest concern now is it’s looking like next season we may be starting with a totally new team it’s going to take time to knit together

Agree. Big, big gamble being made by a manager who is a gamble appointment in himself. If we don't make the right decisions this window, I could see us failing out the top 6. Yes it sounds knee jerk but the shits really that real if we get these kind of decisions wrong. Selling him and potentially DDG going ok, but it's who comes in to replace them is as much of the gamble as selling them....
Thats exactly how I feel. We risk a potential crisis at the club if our biggest players leave. I wonder if Woodward anticipated this?

You cannot blame him. He is wanted by the best club in the world that is managed by a top manager. Why should he remain to OT were he gets blamed of everything?
Yeah I bet he'll be treated way better there. Or maybe he should go to your favorite club?

Because that's assuming our board (well Woodward) is capable of signing Bruno and Tielemens, on top of replacing Pogba which we know fine well isn't the case. At least if we got Isco in the Pogba deal it's a case of just negotiating with the player, something surely the clown Woodward can do.
Our competition on Tielemans is Leicester city. Our competition on Bruno is Inter & Atl Madrid. I think we will get them if we want them.

I'm actually excited for a couple of reasons.

It's another player leaving that I have no affection for.

We're going to sign at least two new midfielders to replace him. Fernandes, Eriksen, Lo Celso, Ben Yedder, Tielemans, Maddison?

All round good business in the end.
Ben Yedder is a striker.

Maybe but that doesn't account for our recent record in the transfer market and clubs now wanting more than ever for their players. Our midfield is non-existent without Herrera and Pogba and selling clubs will be all too aware of that.
From the reports bouncing around it appears we're already in advanced talks with a few so I'm going to reserve judgement on the window until it's shut. I'll be fuming if we don't sign big but I'll be happy if we bring a few good young players in.

If his attitude matched his talk he would've been amazing. Happy with 150m!

All the talent is leaving and our rumoured buys are basically brexit-FC.

Jesus. As long we get 125+ million i don't care. Let Juve and Madrid get into a bidding war.

The only problem is that Woodward will probably take a cut-price deal because we'll get Bale in an offer :nervous::nervous:

We should drag this transfer to the absolute last hour of the window unless we get 180m early. We don't need to sell, he has three years on his contract, he's one of the best in the world, one of the most marketable as well. Other clubs are taking us to the cleaners for mediocre players, we should do the same. Any figure less than what Coutinho cost is unacceptable.

This is going to be terrible for us regardless, because other teams will know we are desperate for replacements let alone reinforcements.

Our best player wants to leave and Woodward in the meantime takes ages to sign 1 player from the Championship. We are fecked.

Of course, the players are there for the taking If we want them. Problem is, Woodward has been proven to not be able to negotiate well with clubs and likes to haggle over a few million here and there, which leads to deals not happening.

Does the same rule apply for Bayern when they buy all the best German talent?

Yes please. Sign three midfielders to replace him and drag this out until the last hour of the transfer window so even if Madrid can't work the fax machine he sits on the bench.

Bayern actually buy the best german talent while the best british talents are playing for our rivals. The players that we are linked with are the second rated british players for the most part.

There's no way back from that comment so it's a done deal he's gone imo. Doesn't want to play for us, so see ya. Go and play for Madrid, because if you are leaving United cause some fans have called you out on some shite performance's, wait until the Madrid fans are kicking your car in.

Agree, Woodward should've forced James to skip his dads funeral and international duty to sign with us.

unlike Ronaldo, Pogba can be replaced. There's a couple players that should be available for around 100M who would be better for us than him.
Agree.

I'm actually quite excited for the up coming season. I'm not expecting us to win trophies, however, I'm expecting a better consistent team. I'll be very happy with that as a stepping stone.

Tielemans is available for £40m with Bruno for £70m. What makes you think Ed can’t accept those fees? It’s not like they are asking anything above £100m. There is a reason why I shouted those 2 names because the fees are reasonable for Ed, realistic signing and less wages compare to Isco.

We’re Manchester United in the Woodward/Glazers era.

He’s going to leave and we won’t sign a replacement. Or Longstaff will be considered the replacement.

Pretty clear he wants out. Issues now are getting the best fee for him and making sure we get a good replacement.

He's basically said he wants out and people still think we're in a position to demand £150 million?

He is another luxury player isn't he. Long term he could end up like Mata

I think you're reading it wrong. I think the deal has been done and he's off, otherwise why say those comments? He would be a target coming out saying those comments to united fans now, so why would he say it if there is a chance he won't be going. This is done imo
