I’m not complaining Spurs refuse to sell players to United. I never wanted any of them.

The original point was in relation to the myth that Levy negotiates good fees for players and is adept in the sales market.

If he was at United I would hound him for his record.

‘probably for money’, unquantifiable.

‘lack of investment in quality players’, a just reason for someone who ‘was part of the most successful period of United's history’ to leave.

That's what this forum is about. Still love and chant about the guy who threw a fit all summer, called himself a slave and after two years of whining in the media finally got his "dream" move to Madrid and acting like DDG has been some sort of martyr all because he's been "quiet" with his demands to leave whereas the guy who never publicly said anything about leaving until Fergie made it public (absolute masterstroke that) but then still went on to stay at the club, become captain, lead us to titles and become the clubs all time scorer is the one who got hate all his time here.

Rooney was definitely wrong to want a move even if you could understand his point about the lack of investment in the squad but he behaved a thousand times better than Ronaldo, he behaved better than Rio and he was as quiet and respectful about his desire to leave as DDG has been and yet he's the only one who's gotten hate. I understand it was a far bigger shock that Rooney wanted to leave and we were all angry but he ended up staying and he wasn't actually batshit crazy about wanting investment in the squad. We would not be in the state we are right now if we actually had invested well then.

Spurs are not in any great need of money. We are in the global top 10 income-wise, with more income than Juventus, and have recently recorded profits larger than any football club ever.

Our income from the new stadium will exceed that taken from Wembley - which means that our overall income will continue to rise. Moreover, having a relatively low wage bill is a good thing … so I'm not sure why you cite United's huge wages bill as if it's some to be proud of.

I said Spurs now have a larger income than Juventus. According to Deloitte's most recent report (January 2019) it's 428.4m euros compared to 394.9m euros, a gap that will grow wider from here onwards. And shortly our income will exceed that of Arsenal, who currently sit one place above us in the money league.

Me neither. Dalot can be used as a back up option to both full back positions and can also be used as a winger. Makes no sense for us to sell a young player with potential.

Agreed and that's why we went out and spent £50M on AWB. I think Dalot is a good young player with plenty of room to grow, selling him before the likes of Jones, Smalling, Young etc would be criminal.

I could believe that if Maureen was still here, but under Ole I doubt it will have been the case. Possibly Dalot's asked about his future considering we've signed a new RB and he's been told he'll be second choice and can leave if he wants to find a club where he'll be first choice.
