Willian made 56 appearances, Pedro 52, Higuain 18, Morata 24, Shaqiri, Lallana and Origi a combined 70. Even at City, Jesus would not have been bought if Rashford was already there, and I think he would have done significantly more in the 30 league appearances than Jesus did. That part is insane. Which attacker in the top 6 could rashford bench exactly? I understand martial not being a regular on work ethic alone because he does have the talent but rashford? Even if we inlcuded wide forwards to the discussion Im struggling to see who he replaces in any team other than Arsenal.
He's been nothing but knuckling down since he got in the first team. Rashford has been giving 100 percent since his debut. He's aNow do yourself a favour and sack off your hanger-on Jessparagus and knuckle the feck down.
He's 21 and going to be leading the line for us now. It makes sense that he was getting a good contract. 150k was never happening, he'll be well worth it a year or two. Love to know what price he'd be sold now for on your planet. Stop moaning and get behind a class player who actually loves the club.Good words and an admirable attitude towards the club. Can't doubt his work rate and attitude one bit.
But in no planet is he worth £200k a week. That is an absolute joke and balls up. If he was genuine in his words, we'd have been able to sign him for sub £150k. Either he's not as in love with us as he says, or we suck major balls in contract negotiations. Probably the latter.
Your speech alone was worth 50k. Stop moaning, he'll be first choice and no reason he can't be competing with the best strikers in the league with a run in the team. The team is lamenting 6th? You played a big part by playing shite?? No problem, son. You’ll still be rewarded handsomely. That speech alone worth another 50k/wk.
Can’t wait our 200k/wk striker scoring goals like other team 200k/wk striker (i.e. Kane).
So you expected him another club would pay him 100k a week, have a day offAh, I get it. We pay double what everyone's worth. That's our game. Smart.
Stop moaning, if he continues to grow to be the main man at United you'll be happy we got him signed today. What year do people think it is, we finished 6th and are retaining the fewHis agent has done wonders. Not even 5+1 either. So we can expect another round of negotiations in a couple seasons. The joy.
Your bullshit stat of 45 /170 games. How many of them games did he play 90 minutes or even close to it. He was a bench player under Jose and looked amazing under Ole before he picked up the injury. Stop moaning!Great! £200k a week plus bonuses for a kid who has never scored more than 10 league goals in a season. And has never scored more than 13 league goals in a season.
To get that kind of money, he would have to be at least 20 goals in all competitions by now.
I've seen few teenage sensations come along in my time ( Owen, Rooney, Mbappe, Ronaldo (both), Messi). All of these so called teenage / early twenties attackers had 15 plus goal season or a few by the time they Rashy's age.
Based on his record and games to goal ratio he is closer to Francis Jeffers who had 33% goals/games ratio at Everton before moving to Arsenal (20 goals in 60 games).
Our Rashy has 45 goals / 170 games. Which is 26% ratio.
He better prove himself to score more than 20 goals this season with those wages. That's all I say!
He's 21 and shouldn't be leading us week in week out. That's my point. He has a lot of potential but hasn't sustained consistency anywhere near long enough to command £200k a week. He's 21 and going to be leading the line for us now.
£150k is a good contract. The bold bit is presumptuous at best.It makes sense that he was getting a good contract. 150k was never happening, he'll be well worth it a year or two.
This is a forum for discussion. Good points are raised and bad. No one is "moaning".Love to know what price he'd be sold now for on your planet. Stop moaning and get behind a class player who actually loves the club.
It’s £200k clearly written, so why try and add another £100k on?
okay £200,000 per week. Still too much. It’s £200k clearly written, so why try and add another £100k on?
The renewal in itself or the figures of his contract?Unbelievable people are actually happy about this.
It’s decisions like this that make us the laughing stock of football. It’s just pure embarrassment.
Take a look at Martial's contract thread, see the reaction then vs how he's viewed now. These large contracts just serve to pile pressure on our youngsters who shouldn't even be first teamers yet.@VP89 your everything wrong with this forum these days. Absolute moaner polluting threads with multiple posts. This thread should be something to be happy about. A young academy player who clearly has the tools to bring us forward signs an extension. It's not a discussion though, it's just you venting over what should be offered that isn't set in reality. Marcus was always getting this deal with our wage structure and what we bring in. He's one of our most valuable players, this was always going to happen.
What the feck are you on about? Look at my first post in the thread - I praised his attitude, work rate and welcomed his words in the interview. What I am against is maintaining the structure of overpaying our players.@VP89 your everything wrong with this forum these days. Absolute moaner polluting threads with multiple posts. It's not pros and cons is it though, a debate usually has people discussing and debating points. It's just been toxic venting from you today in this thread, we don't know the breakdown of his contract. What the base line weekly wage is and what are the bonuses and incentives. Far too long cnuts in here have been moaning and getting away with it. I'll be calling you out in other threads if you continue it and other posters, this needs to stop. I'm not saying everybody has to agree far from it, I'm saying stop filling threads with toxic negative posts. The fan base is clearly frustrated but this is a positive move by the club. What the feck are you on about? Him being academy is immaterial. His overall output isn't as valuable to the degree of his wages either. Call a spade a spade - very likeable player with high potential but not worth £200k a week. It's not a moan, it's a statement. Get your head out of your own ass and put away the pitchfork attitude to anyone that wants to debate cons with pros.
Terrible isn't it. They can't work on two things at once so our transfer business stops while they sort out Rashford. Oh my gosh. It's so tragic. My word. Why the hell are United doing contract renewals during the transfer window?? It's ridiculous. Renewals can be done any time... Do United consider this something akin to a new signing? I hope bloody not!
Both imo, rashford isnt even an elite striker he can barely score into double figures and yet hes on more than Salah, firmino, mane, aguero, kane even vardy,The renewal in itself or the figures of his contract?
Look at this overreaction using incorrect information. Also, not even factoring in when contracts were signed and the state of the market.Keep reading 'Speaks like a fan', like that's some kind of achievement...
He might 'Speak like a fan', but he plays like an upper mid-table striker, and has just haggled the club up to 200,000 a week...
We've just put Marcus Rashford on the same wage as Harry fecking Kane...!
Paying premium wage for a player that wouldn't start (as a CF) at any other top 6 club.
To be blunt - I think it's yet more awful business from the club.
That's not how they report it. They use the total per year and divide it. Each season has a bonus set tied to that season so it's easy to work out what the basic+bonus is. It's only listed weekly because that's how it has been.I dont know, but its hard to know ahead of time what someone is going to be paid in bonuses. If they knew that already they wouldnt be bonuses.
I've only voiced concern about the wages, nothing else. I've stated a few pros in my first post. You evidently struggle to read. It's not pros and cons is it though, a debate usually has people discussing and debating points. God this place has deteriorated. He has raised very valid points and a bunch of sensitive twats are shooting him down. Astonishing. Engage in healthy discussion, don’t fecking call anyone that disagrees with you ‘toxic’.It's not pros and cons is it though, a debate usually has people discussing and debating points. Yeah I'll agree it's deteriorated alright. I'll say what I want, healthy discussion? Like your replyGod this place has deteriorated. You don't have to. In fact, you shouldn't. Immerse yourself in twitter idiocy for too long and you'll find that shit is contagious. Both imo, rashford isnt even an elite striker he can barely score into double figures and yet hes on more than Salah, firmino, mane, aguero, kane even vardy,
Theres something very wrong about rewarding a player that's done nothing.
You only have to look on twitter rival fans are just laughing at this news. It's just another stupid error to put with the countless foolish decisions this board has made in recent years.
Cheers mate. I think @Morpheus 7 genuinely has a problem in interpreting posts.God this place has deteriorated. He has raised very valid points and a bunch of sensitive twats are shooting him down. Astonishing. Engage in healthy discussion, don’t fecking call anyone that disagrees with you ‘toxic’.

No, it really really doesn't. Rival fans have always found reasons to laugh at us, even during our most successful periods. Assessing a situation based on their mockeries makes no sense to me.Yeah but it speaks volumes that rival fans are literally laughing at us. It’s not even a joking but quietly scared laugh it’s a proper we don't care it’s hilarious united have fecked up again thing. Go on any comments page of a website and they all know we’ve been bent over yet again by an average player.
It’s just another awful decision in a long line of very bad decisions made in recent seasons.
Yeah...No, it really really doesn't. Rival fans have always found reasons to laugh at us, even during our most successful periods. Assessing a situation based on their mockeries makes no sense to me.
Nah just idiotic posts like yours today, sounding like a spoilt kid coming to vent. Stinking the place up because they fancy a good old moan.Cheers mate. I think @Morpheus 7 genuinely has a problem in interpreting posts.

On the day Moyes 6 year contract ended, we give a 21 yr old an insane contract. Sums the club upIt's simply too much money. I wonder what they base this figure on. If it's on goals then he's costing about 500k per goal assuming he nets 20 goals, which for him would be a massive improvement, and that's not counting assists or other bonuses like appearances and goals. People would be estatic with 30 goals from him but that's 350k per goal. Is he really worth that amount of money?
The money in football is leaving you kind of jaded at this point about the whole thing.
