No

We need 4 in this summer and the same again next year plus shift out the deadwood before we can even start thinking of a title challenge.

Saying that I can't see us ever winning the league or CL under the current ownership.

No.

Not because we can't improve a lot and do really well. Just because City and Liverpool are really fecking consistent at the moment. It will be hard to bridge the gap that quickly.

I think we will surprise a lot of people though and make progress

With the strength of what is ahead of us no, particularly city, even a prime SAF would be up against it, however with the right physical prep and producing that early form under Ole last season we could certainly get in among it and ask questions which is what I'm hoping for and give us something to build on to have a proper go, if that happens then the future could be bright as Ole is a young coach with the right United traditions.

We can win the league if:

We sign a world class CB, midfielder and RW who all settle in very quickly.
Pogba plays consistently well all season (that's if he stays).
DDG returns to his best form.
One of our forwards scores 20+ league goals with others chipping in as well.
We suffer relatively few injuries.
City and Pool turn to shit.

Let's be realistic, we're probably more likely to finish outside the top 6 than win the league. Top 4 will be an achievement of sorts if the quality of football improves.

No. City and Liverpool are streets ahead and even Spurs could pull away if we don't sort ourselves out.

Top 3 could be achievable if went on a run similar to when Solskjaer first took the job but that's a tall order given we've (so far) done nothing to replace Herrera and still have other problem positions like right wing and centre back.

To stop this City team you're realistically going to need 95 points at the absolute minimum, and even that wouldn't have been enough for the last 2 years. We are an 80 point team at the absolute max. Getting to 80 points would be a very good season for us.

Premier League? No.

Europa League? Still no.
I'm pretty sure we could beat Arsenal and the mighty Frankfurt to be fair.

God I can’t wait for the league to start again just to stop these ridiculous threads.

No. Let's not forget that five teams finished above us last season. One won the league and the remaining four played in European finals. It would be remarkable if we beat all of them to the league. Especially considering our squad and inexperienced manager.

I just hope we can finish top four relatively comfortably.
We aren't any worse than Arsenal or Chelsea and finishing below them was ridiculous. Now with Hazard-less Chelsea it would take an abomination of a season not to better them. He was the only thing they had going forwards, look at their squad. Arsenal is obvious.

We still won't win the league of course, a TOP 3 finish would be a success for me.

3rd would be a fantastic achievement. Winning it would be our most unlikely title win in my lifetime

You can't win the league when you can't built from the back because the players are mediocre on the ball, when you don't exploit the entire right side because you don't have the players and without 2 or 3 world players and a top coaching staff.

We are a dysfunctional club. On and off the pitch.

And the only good player wants to leave this mess asap

We can definitely do it. If we count this years tally as well, we really might get to 99 points and pip City and Liverpool to it.

I think we have greater odds of being in the bottom half of the table than of winning the league. But most likely we will be between 8th and 3rd.

If we sign a top class midfielder, CB and Right winger then we have a slim chance.

Bollocking about fluently.
Meh we're not looking like a challenger as of now - too much damage done over time for us to bounce straight back up I think - and also this league is more competitive than it's ever been making such a leap even less likely. We're in the process of building a new squad and restructuring our entire approach - so as long as we get to see a change in atmosphere alongside young talents developing and impressing us throughout the season - I'd be thrilled with us putting in a serious challenge towards Champions League (yes even if it means barely missing out on it). Cementing top-four would be an achievement - challenging for the title would be nothing short of a miracle. Realistically though I expect we'll be contending within the top-six - and then make the bounce further up back towards the top come 20/21.

There is a small chance....

If we sign Koulibaly, De Ligt, Fernandes, Ndombele, Tieliemans, Sancho and Mbappe

And even then they have to gel quickly and perfectly and we need to find some concsistency and a way to play that works.

So no..no real chance.

No but I am sick of the club acting like a mid table team. Ole and everyone around him should be saying we are going to win the league. He should be going to Woodward and saying this is what I need to win the league. All players should be told that is our goal. Yes its a hard job but the management need to get them believing they are going to do it. Whats the point of saying top 4, oh we need another season, oh players need time to gel etc. That set us up for a loosing mentality straight from the get go. If you aim for 4th then 4th is your apex but likely you will come 5th or 6th. Aim for 1st then we might come 2 or 3rd. Sir Alex never set a level of 4th or 5th when everyone was saying you cant win anything with kids.

I'm not confident we can even make top 4. I've got a feeling we'll be more like the team we saw at the end of the season than the one we saw in Ole's first few games.
With the current squad I think we will be closer to the Wolves, Leicesters of the league than the top 2.

Not been involved in a single title race since Fergie left. Even the year we came 2nd we weren't in a race really. It was over before New Year's Day.

4th is the best we will achieve. More than likely finish 5th or 6th again though. Europa League is going to be huge for us next season.

Our league performance is based on whether the likes of Martial, Rashford, McTominay and ilk can have break out seasons with big numbers. There is enough talent in this squad to beat anybody in the PL on their day, but it depends on how hungry the players are.

Not a chance, the bar has been set too high by City and it will take 100 points five or take to win the league. We won’t get anywhere close to that.

Getting in the top four isn’t going to be easy but is clearly achievable and that has to be the aim.

When you look at what Leicester did, the answer to 'can we?' is of course yes. However, it's so unlikely that I would argue it isn't even worth thinking about yet, despite the size of our club. Also, the fact that Man City and Liverpool are so far ahead right now and will almost certainly break 90 Points again or close to it means that I think it's kind of pointless for other teams to even dream. It's why I like the transfer strategy of most of the 'top six' clubs to bide their time - I feel like any of United, Spurs, Chelsea, or Arsenal could spend absolutely silly money and still finish third at best, so why bother? Do it over time and aim to close the gap marginally each season for two or three years.
