Errrrr Leicester also have Maddison. Tielmanns could have replaced Herrera and we could still have signed Fernandes for when Pogba inevitably gets his move.
I'd like to see how he does over a longer period than 13 games. He was decent at Leicester, but coming off the back of two very poor seasons, it wasn't enough to say he'd "walk" into our team or improve it in any significant way.

Mings was only worth that much to Aston Villa because they had him on loan and he was their best defender which meant they knew what they were getting and didn't want to let him slip away, no one else would offer anywhere near that figure.
We haven't even seen Rojo play since he done his knee in nearly 2 years ago and is nearly 30, he's worth 10-15 million and even then I struggle to see us finding a buyer. I also think that story is crap, all the papers said we sold Fellaini for 10-15 million and it turned out it was around 6 million when the figures were released. We will prob get rid to some mug for 10 million hopefully and then thats one crap defender we can forget about.
People have moaned for years that we sell players way too cheap. Club asks for 25m for Rojo and they aren't happy. In a world where fees are bloated this is hardly a massive fee.

We can't win (not just on the pitch At the moment, it is hard to find a top class player that wants to play in the Europa league or under Ole. Bale is not my first choice but he would be effective for Ole counter attacking football and briefly solve our right wing problem till we get back in champions league. A loan with the option to buy plus £110m-£120m will be good business for United. It will give us money and a player in exchange.
Why is everyone laughing at 25 mill for Rojo. If Mings is worth 25 then Rojo is worth at least that.
If we get Fernandes and Pogba goes then it will be Fred and McTominay/Matic as the double pivot, which imo would bring the best out of Fred.

I think the issue here is that we should have sold them both 2 years ago and £25m would have been realistic. Instead we expect to get this amount when both Rojo and Darmian hardly played for 2 years. Who is gonna pay that amount now?
I don’t think I’d be unhappy with Bakayoko, I watched him at Milan a few times and thought he looked good.

Was one of the worst players in the league when he played in Chelsea, one decent season in a different league means nothing.
He was very good for Milan after a poor start. I don't think he ever really got a proper chance at Chelsea.

Sure, but most of the time it's either overpaying for perceived potential or the player has performed well on loan. I don't remember many outlandish fees for garbage players on 160k pw who haven't played for 2 years. It's just not comparable.
