I think the simple minded are the top reds that get offended every time someone dares to question the club's lack of ambitions.
This forum is infested with people jumping from thread to thread moaning about the exact same things, many behaving like minors. You don't have to have a go at the club at every turn and be a "top red", as people like to put it.

You can question the club’s ambition without resorting to acting like a baby, though.

It’s clear as day that Ole doesn’t give a shit about Lukaku leaving. He doesn’t need to spell it out in a presser. If anything, Madrid are weakening their bargaining position for a player that is still very good. Why would we do that for a bloke we’re trying to flog for our money back?

They want to get rid of Bale for some time now, but he was happy to sit on the bench/treatment table and pick up wages for nothing. They had to go public to kick him out. They are not a charity. Bale had time to look for clubs, but seems like he had to be forced to. Just like players can stay of course, clubs can force them out in a way as well. May be classless for some, for others it isnt. Bale knew before going there how they operate if they dont want you, plenty of examples in the past.

I have zero sympathy for bale but this approach by zidane is stupid and classless. Real madrid offered him the new deal when they could have sole bale to us 2 years ago so don't understand why they are acting so precious. This is no way a sign of being ruthlessness but sign of being a d*ck.

A has been Relegated to reserves and not good enough compared to Bale who won them a champs league final and has won 13 trophies at the club.
But Bale isn't good enough for them now it's no different.

Plus he's taking circa 600k per week... Hardly slave tackle is it.

Ah yes, poor Bale, treated like a rejected millionaire. He knew very well where he went. Sorry but he has nothing to complain. Move on and show they were wrong.

Amen. It's a delightful situation to watch when you dislike both RM and monkeyboy.

I don’t have nothing against Bale, but feck me, what the hell was he expecting from Real Madrid particularly under Florentino Pérez?

Sorry if I don’t cry over millionaire footballers who are more interested in playing golf than restarting their career elsewhere.

Don’t feel sorry for millionaire players, they’ll do fine elsewhere, feel sorry for my bank account.

I would love if he saw out 4 more years of a 600,000 euro a week contract. You can't just turn around as a club and say we wish we didn't sign that so please leave

Bale is living the life! It's OK for him.
So everyone should feel happy for him, don’t worry he will be better than anyone of us here. He can do whatever he wants, certainly deserves to play elsewhere but I am not inside his head to know how he feels.

It's been reportedly widely this summer that bales happier to see out his contract earning £600k a week than to take a pay cut to go anywhere else, even if it means little game time. If I was him I'd be the same, his injuries mean he's unlikely to get anywhere near that anywhere else, and imo he has nothing left to prove. He's been a top class player over the years, just a shame it was at Real Madrid. Hope he bleeds them dry.

Comunicado Oficial : Slapped by Bayern, Hazard looked alright, Bale was nowhere to be seen.

I'm glad we aren't like this. Disgusting behaviour.
Not really. There's been plenty of instances where managers started forcing players to leave the club against their wishes. If someone was one of the top earners at your club but content to literally do nothing but collect wages and publically said he'll chill and play golf instead of forcing an exit, you'd try everything to get rid of them as well.

Schweinsteiger will go down as a bigger footballing legend then Gareth Bale.

Schweinsteiger?
The man jetting off to tennis matches? Even ignoring the respective contributions of both players for the teams in question, Mourinho’s treatment to Swiney was nowhere near what Zidane is doing with Bale.

Still maintain they made a mistake, both him and the club. He shouldn't have returned.

It's not about forcing players to leave against their wishes. It's the public comments. I think it's shit when a manager publicly says "I hope he leaves tomorrow". For one that doesn't help Perez who is trying to get top dollar for Bale and second is just a shit thing to say to reporters.

Honestly, I see it all ending in tears this season. They'll finish a distant second or third to Barca again and will be outclassed by the quarter final stage in a VARtastic CL.

I'd love to see what happens to this virus of a club as they attempt to challenge athletico and barca for the title without their cheat player

I love what Zidane is doing. It may be classless but it's needed to get a player like Bale to go
Go where though? No one's in for him at those wages and bale has no desire to leave. All it does is antagonise a player that imo is 80% likely to stay

Bale deserves this.

He did feck all in 2017-18 bar the CL final, where he complained about playtime and talked about making "decisions", the club got him an improved contract, Ronnie was gone, and it was supposed to be his year, his team, he had to step it up, take more responsibility. But he just chilled for the next year, playing golf, and sitting on that contract. He's got no ambition, not in here at least. Now the club is making the "decisions" he was asking for.

Bale is on monster wages and is injured all the time, when was the last time he had a truly full world class season for Madrid? I'd say he only had one and it was his first year at the club.

Yes he scored two goals vs Liverpool but what else did he do in that CL campaign? Not much of anything, very disapppointing when he started against Juventus, didn't score any goals until the final in fact and we all know how it went in the league for Madrid that year.

The most successful Madrid has been over a single season is 16/17 and Bale wasn't a starter on that team that won La Liga+CL in a dominant fashion.

Obviously there have been offers if they're going public, Bale is entitled to refuse them of course (not financially interesting obviously). I understand both parties, Zidane just need to do what PSG did to Ben Arfa, if a player wants to stay and keep his huge contract then put him in the reserves and forget about him.

Wish we could have this no nonsense approach at United :(

I have no sympathy for Bale. He has made his own bad. My only question is the Zidane comments. Is it possible that they have been mistranslated ? From French or Spanish to English where they have come out as Brutal as they sound?.

I may be the devil, but i'm not a monster
As if Bale is feeling sorry for himself? Madrid have fecked themselves in the arse and are now desperately trying to get out of it. He couldnt give two fecks and the more Zidane carries on with this rot, the more I'd be inclined to tell Madrid to do one and supplement my wages for whatever club I play for.

You are correct. They were two separate statements. First he answered Bale wasn't called up because the club were sorting out his departure. Later on he is asked what the status is and he says it is being finalised, if tomorrow better, for him and the club as they both look to move on. Both normal, straightforward statements.

The only thing that looks "edgy" is when he says tomorrow better he smirks briefly. It doesn't look intentional but his subconscious betraying him. He clearly can't wait for it to be over and who can blame him?

It's just pure desperation from Zidane, Bale is in total control because of the stupid contract they gave him. No club will match anywhere near what he has and from most media reports his family love living there, he's doesn't really interact with anyone anyway so he can just milk them for three more years. I get he'd prefer to be somewhere that 'likes' him but chances are he'll last longer than Zidane there anyway

Zidane is a prick and I hope Madrid get fecked over as hard as possible from this. Most cnutish club in world football by a county mile.
