I think i am replying to some posts which are responses to chutney's posts. That's why the context is missing.

Who cares the tweets actually make sense these days

Somehow Ed/Judge have got us in a win-win situation with Lukaku, it Juve get him then we'll likely get Dybala coming our way and if Inter get him, we get full asking price.

It'd be hilarious if Inter didnt get him, they've only just got Conte as manager and he'll be major hacked off if they dont get him Lukaku.

Woodward has delivered countless big signings (albeit they failed, but he delivered his part) and yet people still doubt him...

Also what is it about this board that means they’re not keen on the player who was awarded Serie A’s best midfielder but are going insane over a striker who scored 4 goals in 30 games last season?

Imagine if Conte resigns, they hire Mourinho and he implodes when the competition absolutely destroy him. I'd get serious satisfaction from seeing this.

No, I'm not expecting a title challenge at all and I back Ole 1000%. The thing is though that a bad start of the season will pile insane amounts of pressure on the team.

Even Solskjaer has said how important is to start strong and provide a stable base for the rest of the season. It won't happen if some of the main positions are changed a week before the first official game.
We are going to have periods where we lose games and struggle because quite simply put we are a very mediocre team.

The road back to the top is a long one. Could be 5 years us before we even challenge again let alone win it. I think we will do very well to finish within 20pts of City. That's the gap we are now facing.

If he and lukaku left and we brought in

Maguire, savic, fernandes and Dybala I think we'd be a better team.

I think we will bring in 2 players max though, which if Pogba and lukaku go isn't enough
Pogba won't go. And hence we won't need Savic. Sell Lukaku and sign Maguire, Dybala and Longstaff and we've done well. Doubtful we can three signings off with some 10 days to go.

Two new CM's? Really?

The right back and CB (Maguire)are both English and PL ready also.

And finally we are building from the bottom up. We are going to have periods where we struggle. If you're expecting a title challenge then more fool you.
Title challenge? if anyone is expecting that then I would be extremely worried about their sanity. 4th place is the best we are doing in my opinion even with Maguire.

Is Herrera even going to be a starter at PSG? I'm not really up to date with their squad and formation used.
Hard to tell. They have Verratti, Herrera, Gueye and Paredes in midfield now. They are all going to play quite a bit, with Verratti obviously the undisputed starter

Man, what I would give for a player like Veratti... We've lacked someone like him since Carrick retired.

Pretty meh midfield for a club with the resources that PSG have. And to think a few years back their midfield was Verratti + Matuidi + Rabiot
Yeah. Herrera and Gueye is very underwhelming signings for a club that only craves a CL victory. Won’t happen this year either it seems.

They need some workers and crafters in midfield. While Herrera and Gueye are no Pirlos, they need the balance for their attackers. Verratti will be pulling the strings and the rest of the midfield will have to press hard

Herrera can press hard.

I disagree. Gueye has been the undisputed best CDM in the league with Kante for 3-4 years now. He consistently tops every defensive midfielder stat charts which demonstrates his consistency throughout a season and as someone who watched him every week he was absolutely crucial to our defensive structure. He's quality and will be great for PSG in the CL which is where they needed someone like him to tighten up their defense in the latter stages. We know they're able to blow teams away in Ligue 1 with ease but they've always lacked security at the back in the CL. Gueye is perfect for trying to plug that gap.

They needed a player like Gueye or Herrera, but I think both are overkill.

Both have very high interception and tackle stats, fantastic stamina, and will try to impose themselves in a game. Neither are particularly insightful on the ball, or can they score goals.

Sort of in agreement with @Lemansky. In Ligue 1 they can get away with playing Marquinhos there, but in the CL the level needs to be higher. Not sure Gueye and Herrera have that.

PAUL POGBA ... He's a new player of the
@RealMadrid
arrives at the merengue club at the rate of 165M which are divided into 130M + 35M in variables. It arrives in condition of TOP player and salary of 12M per year. Clubs will be official soon.
States in a following tweet this was agreed in principal about a month ago but we needed to source a replacement before rubber stamping it. The obvious suggestion is that we've now successfully sourced that replacement/s.

Apparently he also counts as home grown, or trained in france, or whatever it is.

All the latest rumours seem pretty unbelievable to me.

Dybala - Lukaku swap, United agreeing a deal with Milinkovic-Savic, Barcelona wanting Darmian, United agreed to sell Pogba a month ago...

It all just seems like absolute crap tbh.

Pogba will not agree to a 12m per year salary, not after de Gea deal has been agreed (and him understanding that he may receive even more).

Besides, Real Madrid seem to have more urgent problems currently in defence and in goal, and being inable to reduce the wage bill

I think that particular tweet is bs but I do think that Pogba may leave if Madrid come up with a deal around £140-150m. In this case there’s no smoke without fire

I think we have a deal lined up for sms and perhaps Bruno from that money IF it goes ahead.

Lukaku for dybala straight swap if they go for it.

Maguire our of our existing budget

DeGea
AWB - Maguire - Lindelof - Shaw

McT - Savic
Bruno

Dybala-Rashford-martial

With the front 3 being fluid and interchangeable

Very good side on paper

That would be a tremendous window if this was somehow pulled off. It’s a young side too and probably only 1 or 2 signings away from a title challenge.
